I am pleased and proud to say I passed through here recently on my own journey to recovery. After a stressfull cycle of loss and relapsed I landed in this program and had to do a a period of inpatient detox here. After my time here , some medication corrections on their end while I was , as well as a few extra pounds, I have returned to my journey at the program I nearly got kicked out of, wiser, healthier, and happier. And with a new purpose and outlook. The staff, Kevin, ashley, Hannah, Christine, honestly everyone in that building made the stay bearable, comfortable, and understandable. The place was kept clean by diligent crew. Techs were timely, helpful, friendly, just great all around. The doctors and nurses as well. Both chefs made excellent meals and were more than accommodating to anyone's requests or needs. They even still stay in contact and check in from time to time. I've been a few places and haven't been that comfortable in such an uncomfortable situation, and that is due entirely to the staff and directors. Great place.

I want to start by saying to ignore any negative review on this place. I personally went to Rise at Mayberry and cannot say enough of amazing things. I’ve been to many different facilities over the last decade and this one has become family. I get emotional and want to cry with gratitude when I think about how the staff/clients have been there for me during the most difficult moments of my life. Everyone turned their back on me outside of here while they didn’t judge me and gave me a chance. Ron reminds me of my papa being the kindest man ever. He cares deeply about each client, is passionate, patient, generous, the list goes on. Lauren has gone above and beyond for me with all my legal issues making sure everything is done the way it needs to be. She listens without judgment and is always available to help me. Allison was so helpful getting me into this place and throughly explained all the services that’s offered here. She’s relatable and kind. Dr. Neesha is beautiful inside and out, intelligent, and a strong woman of faith. She’s so insightful and working with her as a therapist has been my honor. Not to mention the support staff are incredible. Josh K has also made himself always available to the clients and he’s helped me so much from his own personal experiences dealing with dependency court/CPS. Chris and Tim are also such an honor to know. Tim, with all his travel stories and passion for AA. Chris, prioritizing the physical fitness in sobriety. All their stories on how they ended up here are inspirational. God brought me here unexpectedly and it’s one of the best things that’s ever happened to me. I live in Orange County which has a lot of recovery and places to get sober, but i couldn’t be more blessed that I landed here. I’ve been here without my young children for a couple months now and I wouldn’t have been able to get through this difficult time without everyone here. I’ll never forget what’s been done for me ❤️ addiction is a lonely disease, allow them to help guide you to a solution.

If you need Detox/Rehab, this is the place to do it. The staff is fantastic, the therapy is top notch. The food is prepared by professional chefs and the food is incredible. All the patients have their own rooms and bath rooms. You may not want to leave.

Sadly, Windmill now is allowing previous employees to post reviews. This troubles me. My initial review was heartfelt and honest. It upsets me that Windmill is doing this. Windmill used to be better than this. Perhaps it has to do with the new ownership.

I had the most amazing experience of my life! WWR saved my life in many ways. I tackled multiple addictions and took advantage of every service they offer (which there are many!). The counselors and recovery advocates are incredible. While I now have the tools to go back to the real world, I will miss this place in my soul. I would recommend WWR to anyone needing to face addiction or any other mental challenge.

I cannot begin to express what Banyan Palm Springs means to me.
I arrived barely able to walk as withdrawal was setting in. People, both staff and temporary residents would grab my arms and assist me to wherever I needed to go. I was embarrassed initially but everyone of them said “we’ve all been there”.
So, can you imagine if I didn’t say this has been the most amazing recovery home I’ve been to and it’s not my first.
So … the grounds are beautiful and meticulous. The rooms are super clean and stylish (unusual I know) - with comfy beds and good sheets, good pillows and soft duvets.
The nursing station (open 24 hrs) is always listening to you and making you feel normal - which is wonderful. They’re knowledgeable and understanding and kind.
The kitchen has produced 3 lovely meals a day with a complete salad bar open 24 hours.
The temporary guests (us) have been beyond kind and good and interesting and absolutely respectful. AND, they come from all over the… Seattle, Virginia,,New Jersey, Canada and all of California.
The staff … well this might take some time.
Everyone of them are willing to help with whatever you need even if it isn’t their “job role” Even the cleaning and maintenance crew will help you of whatever direction you need pointing in. The counselors always have an ear and have a genuineness that goes beyond.
The case workers are always doing they’re very best to solve the many problems that pop up daily - I mean going out of their way to do so.
But truly the finest part is the programs and program structure. Terribly knowledgeable staff that teach yes the 12 steps but also what is your brain doing with addiction and what is your body doing with addiction.
All in a completely safe and as I said beautiful environment.
So, as I said I can’t say enough and I certainly can’t imagine having gone anywhere else.
If you are looking and questioning … stop now and call them.
You shan’t regret one minute of it.
I am being discharged tomorrow and feel like a million dollars - they have signed me up for Telehealth and early morning Smart meetings as I begin full time work again - and I will so so miss everything about BanyanPalmSprings!

I was so scared asking for help and didn’t know where to go, but this place came highly recommended. The only bad thing is that the fact that I had to leave anybody looking to get help there is not a better place to go in here. the staff is absolutely incredible. When my younger brother finally decided to seek help for his alcohol addiction, I spent countless hours researching treatment programs. From the moment I came across the website for Tree House Recovery PDX, I knew this was something special. A truly unique program that stood out from every other rehab facility I had seen.
Tree House’s focus on building a brotherhood grounded in mutual respect, compassion, and empowerment immediately resonated with me. My brother had spent years feeling isolated and disconnected, and I knew this kind of community could give him the sense of belonging he’d been missing.
The combination of strength training and mindfulness yoga was unlike anything I had come across before. Replacing harmful habits with physical strength and mental resilience was exactly what my brother, once an athletic, active teenager, needed to reconnect with a version of himself that existed before alcohol took hold.
The program’s one-on-one, group, and writing therapy, combined with the educational classes on the mechanisms of addiction, make it one of the most well-rounded and thoughtful approaches to recovery I have ever seen. In just three months, the transformation in my brother has been remarkable, not only in his body but in his voice, his confidence, and his spirit.
Tree House has given him tools to cope with disappointment and setbacks, develop healthier reasoning skills, and rediscover the strength that comes from brotherhood, from leaning on and lifting up others walking the same path. He’s learned how to have fun without substances and surround himself with people who genuinely care about his well-being.
Initially, I worried Tree House might not be an option for us financially. But then I saw the words at the bottom of their website:
“We strive to make sure that Tree House is an option for everyone.”
It felt like they were speaking directly to me.
When I reached out, Matt was incredible. He listened with genuine compassion, spoke with both my brother and me, and over the next week and a half worked tirelessly with the team, including the program director and finance department, to make sure my brother could be admitted. He arranged detox admission, transportation, and housing. Thanks to Matt, Brandon, Emma, Esther, and Rob, my brother was given a real shot at recovery.
Tree House Recovery PDX hasn’t just helped my brother get sober, it has transformed his outlook on life. He’s now enrolled in school, exploring meaningful work, and, most importantly, has hope again.

Our lives we had built over almost 40 years together were failing. We were scared, we were desolate and drowning, our family was tapped out, ashamed of our choices and finally desperately seeking help from anyone that would listen. No one was listening. We had waited too long thinking it was no problem, not really, we weren’t like “those people”, we knew that we could quit, he hadn’t relapsed he had had surgery and a month long hospital stay, we would easily just get a job, move in with family till we were on our feet, we’d done it many times before, he had been sober 17 out of 25 years, snap no worries….. we were so wrong about it ALL. Weeks later and my husband had been in detox for around 10 days in Eugene, the farthest place away my boys could find that would take and keep him, I had been making as usual, call after call, text chat after text chat, day after day, page after page, talking to each rehab, each place that said no, sent by them always to try another few and when they said no the search online would lead me to more. All of them said no for whatever reason, mostly full beds and even if there were available beds, they wouldn’t take our insurance since the Covid exceptions are all expiring. Or they would take our insurance but only for detox which he is already in. The luxury, lol, rehabs all offered self pay ofcourse, thousands upon thousands and we had no money. I had almost given up any hopes we once shared and I got a text back from someone. Not wanting to hear no again after pouring out our story through tears, I was frustrated and angry and I got to the point, “do you take our insurance or not?” No answer but they said I’d be chat contacted soon. Sure. Sure. Then I was, his name was Matt from Tree House Recovery, and he listened. I couldn’t believe he listened. My husband is 60, he is lost. I am lost. Matt gave me hope. Tree Houses Website and videos and links to YouTube gave me hope. Matt asked me if My husband was tired of self medicating and being in life long pain, were our lives unmanageable, were we on the bottom. We were way past that and we were going to die. He still was listening. We have nothing but we will give anything just to have a chance. Matt fought for us, fought for that chance, and through the Grace of God and everyone involved at Tree House, his chance at a NEW LIFE, his DAY ONE there, is this week. I promised to get my husband to the door, any door that said yes, he had to walk through it….. thanks to Matt listening and truly caring he is, and he will learn, and grow and rebuild his mind, body and spirit one minute, one hour, one day at a time. Really enjoyed my stay, i completed CPR a few months ago and it was difficult being away from my home in NC but it turned out to be the best thing that happened to me. When I think of California Prime it instantly fills me with so much peace! I came into the program a couple years ago I was a lost, scared, insecure broken woman with addiction issues that were ruining my life. . Through out my stay I learned so many skills to change my life. The facilitators and staff are genuine, caring, compassionate, and informative. Today I have my life back! Does Magellan Health Cover Mental Healthcare?
All of Magellan Health’s solutions include behavioral health services which includes mental healthcare. However Magellan doesn’t decide exactly what is covered or how much coverage is available — your insurance plan does that. So it’s important to talk to your insurance company or employer’s benefits specialist to get the details of your plan before you begin a program.
Mental health services include crisis support as well as therapy and counseling. You may be able to get peer support from those who have gone through the same issues. Whether you struggle with depression or anxiety or other mental health concerns most insurance plans will provide at least some coverage.
One thing to keep in mind is that many people with substance use disorders also have mental health diagnoses. Having both together is called a co occurring disorder or a dual diagnosis. If you have a dual diagnosis is essential to get integrated treatment that addresses both issues so you can maximize your chance of long term recovery.
