This place saved my life! I only was going for
Detox but decided to stay for 30 days. Now I am 31 days sober! One day at a time! I have my life back! Thank you RCA!

Bracebridge was and is a lifesaver for me. Not only is the staff 100% invested and amazing, the campus, the food, and facilities definitely contribute to making the tough time a little more bearable. Special shoutout to Tammy who was my Primary Therapist. She pushed and supported me during my stay and I am eternally grateful for her. Another shoutout to Dan, the alumni coordinator. While the entire staff is amazing when you're on the inside, Dan keeps the alumni engaged and active once you leave campus. While it sucked HAVING to be there, I absolutely loved the experience and in hindsight, I have Bracbridge to thank for giving me the tools to have my life back. I'd give 10 stars if I could.

My time at RCA Bracebridge Hall truly changed my life. I spent 30 days there, and it was one of the most meaningful and transformative experiences I’ve ever had.
The program was incredibly informative and gave me the tools I needed to move forward with confidence. What stood out the most, though, was the level of support. The staff genuinely care, you can feel that they have big hearts and are fully invested in helping each person succeed. They made sure I felt prepared for life after leaving, which made a huge difference for me.
I also met some amazing people during my stay, and those connections meant a lot. The facility itself is beautiful and in a peaceful location, which really helped me focus on my recovery.
One of the most valuable parts of the experience has been the alumni support group. Staying connected after leaving has been so important, and the program they’ve built is truly special. Dan, in particular, has done so much for the alumni community, and I’m incredibly grateful for his dedication and support.
I feel very blessed to have had this experience, and I would highly recommend RCA Bracebridge Hall to anyone seeking help and a fresh start.

Tree House Recovery PDX saved my life. I hit a new rock bottom during the holidays. I was reluctant to going to a typical, 30-day, institutional rehab center like I did over the summer because that didn't work. But then I saw that Tree House was a three month program with a focus in physical exercise, writing, and learning to work as a team. My expectations weren't met -- they were exceeded. I recently graduated on April 3rd and am a better man now than I was before I started using and drinking. I've learned how to be empathetic, hold myself and others accountable, find gratitude in my daily life, lean on my teammates during times of struggle, and how to celebrate little and big wins in my life with healthy pride.
The staff is amazing too. Rob, Nevin, Doug, Bryan and Kevin are all great men who are now role models in my life. They challenged me, listened to me, and gave me advice and suggestions I have taken to help me soar.
If you're struggling, you don't have to do it alone. I would highly recommend this program for any man who is having trouble with addiction and needs to turn his life around.
Thank you, Tree House.

My decision to attend treatment was one of the most important decisions of my life and I could not have made a better choice than Treehouse Recovery. This was my first time in treatment and I was terrified while researching places to go. From the very first phone call, the staff at Treehouse made me feel heard, supported, and helped to ease my mind that help was available and change was possible. I could tell from the initial conversations on the phone that was a place that truly cared for each and every client. That same empathetic and welcoming attitude was expressed and carried on at every other step of the process. Embarking on the treatment journey was a time in my life marked by fear and uncertainty but with Treehouse, I knew I had the best support possible and was certainly in great hands.
Before Treehouse, I was living a miserable and isolated life and desperately needed help to get back on track. Throughout the course of the program, I was able to find a strong sense of discipline, integrity, and perseverance and as a result, rebuild myself into the best version of my self that has ever existed. Treehouse’s wholistic approach to treatment empowers each client and arms them with the skills and tools needed to sustain a lasting recovery.
If you are ready to work hard and make some lasting changes to better your life, Treehouse is the best possible choice you can make.

Recovery is rarely a straight path. For me, it was marked by multiple attempts—each one beginning with hope and ending in frustration. I wanted sobriety, but wanting it and sustaining it were two very different things. Each setback carried shame, doubt, and the quiet fear that maybe lasting change just wasn’t meant for me.
Six years ago, everything shifted—but not for me at first. It was my husband whose life was saved by Treehouse. At a time when things felt beyond repair, they stepped in and gave him not just support, but a real chance at living again. Watching his transformation planted a seed in me, even if I wasn’t ready to fully act on it yet.
When I finally completed my own inpatient program, I was fragile but hopeful. Through my husband Treehouse met me right where I was offering suggestions for a straight transition into sober living for women, giving me a safe and structured environment where I could begin to rebuild. For a full year, I worked on myself in ways I never had before. During that time, Treehouse didn’t just check in—they actively supported my growth through their family program facilitating weekly therapy sessions that helped me understand myself, my patterns, and my path forward.
Their presence didn’t end there. Years later, Treehouse was still standing beside our family during one of the most challenging chapters of our lives—our court-mandated reunification. They ensured our son had access to therapy, advocating for healing not just individually, but as a family. Their continued support reminded us that recovery is not a moment in time—it’s an ongoing journey, and no one should have to walk it alone.
Today, I can say with certainty that Treehouse has been an integral part of our success. They didn’t just help us get sober—they helped us build a life beyond what we ever thought possible. A life grounded in stability, growth, and connection.
Some organizations provide services. Treehouse became something much more. They became our support system, our foundation, and ultimately, our family.

The place is great but they don't do mat. I would have stayed long term but I've been on subs for 10+ years. When struggling to get sober one should not have to struggle with medication in order to receive treatment. This is my opinion. Other than that it's a great facility.

Very good treatment facility but needs improvement on communication with family members when something happens I had to go to the hospital an it took 7 hrs for someone to answer the phone when my wife was calling trying to find out how I was an she is my emergency contact but other than that it's great

I had been searching tirelessly for support with my mental health and was on the verge of giving up when I discovered The Summit Wellness Group.
This place surpasses expectations by offering a variety of therapeutic approaches and helping individuals recognize certain behaviors in themselves and others. The staff and therapists are exceptionally compassionate and understanding. While I sometimes wish I had found this place earlier, I am thankful for discovering it at the right moment. This place has been instrumental in helping me rebuild myself, set boundaries, and identify my talents. It has truly been a lifesaver, and for that, I am profoundly and eternally grateful.

My only regret about this place is I didn't come here sooner!! I recently completed the PHP inpatient program here. I immediately felt a positive and welcoming energy walking thru the doors. I met with their intake employee and could tell he genuinely cared about my well being and he helped to instill hope in me that things were going to be ok from day one. Super awesome, caring, and Genuine guy. My recovery manager I was assigned was on the ball and I immediately felt I could trust him and that he understood what I had been going through. My therapist I was assigned was also amazing and I got a lot out of our one-on-ones and our group therapy sessions. I almost didn't want to leave lol. The other program participants were actually happy to be there and I have never seen that at any other place Ive gone to. The entire staff really worked hard for my recovery and I can't say enough great things about this place in one day. The classes were very informative and helped me shape an entirely different perspective on life. I left there a different person I was when I came in for sure and I'm so grateful to be alive today. I wanted to die a month ago. Thank y'all so much for helping me get my life back, my family back, and a strong foundation to build my life back on. It's a lot of work to go through something like this but if you are struggling like I was, give yourself a break and come check this place out because you deserve it and it's worth it!! 💪🙏❤️ Thank you Lantana!! Much love!!;

As a patient that has been in other programs, TPRC has been by far the best! Between the staff, the medical team, and the clients themselves, the experience has been great. Starting the program can be a process with insurance and finding a bed/opening, but it's like that no matter where you go. Don't let that turn you away from this great program!

The nutritionist there is HORRIBLE. I personally am lactose intolerant and when I was admitted my liver was bad, so I needed a diet tailored to helping me recover. She told me if I can’t find anything to just eat from the salad bar. I stood my ground and she let the kitchen staff know I was lactose intolerant and couldn’t eat fried stuff but that is ridiculous I should not have to argue with her. Then my roommate had ARFID so she needed dietary help, and the nutritionist told her to eat bread. That’s a sad and pathetic excuse for a nutritionist. Staffs great but they should certainly fire her.

With any institution trying to implement a broad program for individuals, there are bound to be issues. With that being said, my time at HBF Plymouth was invaluable. I especially want to mention Mary the psychologist & counselors Sara and Cozi on the Pioneer Unit. Advocacy is a huge part of individual recovery, and I was especially encouraged by these three to ask for what I need when I need it. It works if you work it!

Frequently Asked Questions
Does Magellan Health Cover Drug and Alcohol Rehab?
Magellan Health provides behavioral health solutions and care management services to insurance plans and employers along with states and federal agencies. However Magellan doesn’t determine what is covered or how much coverage you have — the insurance plan determines that.
That’s why it’s so important to verify your coverage details before you start treatment. You may find that you need a doctor’s referral or preauthorization to get insurance coverage.
Also insurance plans focus on covering medically necessary care. Working with your doctor to create a treatment plan for your addiction diagnosis will not only give you direction on what programs to look for but will help prove medical necessity as well.
What Insurance Services Does Magellan Health Offer to Clients?
Magellan Health offers a wide range of insurance solutions that are tailored to each client’s needs.
For health plans Magellan offers behavioral health services that include coordinated care for anxiety and depression along with substance use disorder and autism and more. There are digital behavioral health services as well.
Other services that health plans can use include care management assistance and a pharmacy program to make it easier to provide prescription medications to members. They also have a program called Magellan Autism Connections® to help families care for children with autism.
Employers can take advantage of Magellan’s eMbrace employer solutions. This includes Employer Assistance Programs (EAPs) along with behavioral health care. They also have specialized solutions that augment those programs by giving additional support to young adults and adolescents along with parents and caregivers and more.
For states Magellan provides behavioral healthcare and children’s services. They also give state programs access to peer support for recovery.
Finally for federal agencies and the military Magellan Federal offers mental health and substance use services and care management along with family support services and administrative support.
Does Magellan Health Cover Mental Healthcare?
All of Magellan Health’s solutions include behavioral health services which includes mental healthcare. However Magellan doesn’t decide exactly what is covered or how much coverage is available — your insurance plan does that. So it’s important to talk to your insurance company or employer’s benefits specialist to get the details of your plan before you begin a program.
Mental health services include crisis support as well as therapy and counseling. You may be able to get peer support from those who have gone through the same issues. Whether you struggle with depression or anxiety or other mental health concerns most insurance plans will provide at least some coverage.
One thing to keep in mind is that many people with substance use disorders also have mental health diagnoses. Having both together is called a co occurring disorder or a dual diagnosis. If you have a dual diagnosis is essential to get integrated treatment that addresses both issues so you can maximize your chance of long term recovery.
What Inpatient Addiction Treatment Does Magellan Health Cover?
Because insurance companies focus on medically necessary care, you must have a treatment plan created by your physician from the beginning. Your doctor may rely on the ASAM criteria to determine whether inpatient treatment is best.
As you go through the detoxification process, it’s often safer to do it under the care of a physician and additional healthcare workers. Inpatient treatment allows you to medically detox safely as the first step to your recovery. Magellan Health has many resources for inpatient treatment, but the treatment available is based on your specific plan, so it’s always a good idea to talk to someone about your policy.
After detox you may have inpatient or residential treatment where you live at the treatment facility and focus fully on your recovery.
What Outpatient Rehab Does Magellan Health Cover?
Outpatient rehab comes in several forms. The most intensive is a partial hospitalization program or PHP. This option allows you to live at home while still receiving treatment. It’s ideal for those who need more than a regular therapist or doctor can offer but don’t need 24-hour care.
The next level is intensive outpatient programs or IOPs. This is a comprehensive, intense form of treatment that still allows you to meet outside obligations to things like work and family. You generally have treatment three hours at a time, a few days a week.
Outpatient treatment focuses on psychoeducation, relapse prevention, group and individual counseling, and teaching coping and recovery skills.
Before you commit to any type of treatment plan, make sure you discuss the specifics with your insurance company.
Does Magellan Health Cover Methadone & Suboxone (MAT)?
Some providers will recommend medication-assisted treatment, also known as MAT. This occurs when medication is combined with traditional forms of rehab, like counseling, to increase the chances of success.
Two medications often used in this process are methadone and suboxone. They are often used to treat opioid addiction and help reduce cravings while blocking highs that come from mood-altering substances. Specialists have found medication to be a valuable tool in the arsenal used to treat addiction.
If your doctor recommends any type of MAT, speak to your insurance company to ensure it’s covered before you start because coverage amounts and requirements vary per policy.
How Long Will Magellan Health Cover Rehab?
Recovery usually consists of a combination of things. Your doctor will determine your treatment plan and how long it should last. Every case is individualized to help every patient have the best chance of success.
The first step may be detox. The second step may be inpatient or outpatient treatment. The third step is often a program that allows you to integrate back into society slowly. The final step is aftercare and upkeep.
Every step is just as important as the one before it and to reach long term recovery you’ll need to complete each one.
Insurance plans each have their own limits and requirements for treatment. You’ll want to make sure you understand your full plan benefits to ensure you get coverage for your full medically recommended treatment plan.
Does Addiction Treatment Need to Be In Network?
Many plans don’t cover providers that are out of network. Even if the plan covers some costs, the deductibles and copayments are usually higher for the patient. It’s best to stay in-network if possible when choosing a treatment center or provider.
If you prefer an out-of-network provider, discuss the costs extensively before you enter treatment. Magellan Health has providers for specific services, but your individual insurance plan defines the overall medical network.
How to Verify Coverage With Magellan Health
You can check the details of your insurance policy by logging into your online account, contacting a customer service representative, or discussing your options with a specific treatment center you’re considering. Because there are a wide variety of plans, make sure you know your specific plan name.
Always verify your overall insurance details and the benefits available so you have a complete picture. If you are prepared to go into treatment with all the information, your chances of recovery greatly increase.
By calling the helpline you agree to the terms of use. We do not receive any commission or fee that is dependent upon which treatment provider a caller chooses. There is no obligation to enter treatment.
Calls to numbers on a specific treatment center listing will be routed to that treatment center. Calls to any general helpline could be forwarded to SAMHSA or a verified treatment provider.
If you wish to connect with non-sponsor centers, you can browse top-rated listings, visit our homepage and browse by state, or visit SAMHSA.
