My experience at Banyan residential 30 day stay was an enlightening experience. I learned a lot about myself and the disease of my addiction. I have learned the tools to practice for further recovery. All and all its staff was very helpful and mindful for what struggles I was facing. Through therapy and group sessions made me feel at home. I have never been in any treatment facility for my addiction and I am so grateful that I was sent to Boca. I was scared and nervous about being away from home but I was immediately put at ease by the staff. I had no clothes, Bridget came to my rescue with clothes. Sissy, the housekeep, loved on me like a mother with everything I needed to build my self esteem. I went to BRC thinking that I wasn't like the other patients there. That drugs and alcohol weren't really the issues I struggled with. Within two days into my recovery I began to let my guard down and accept not only skills they offer but accept the situation I'm in. Oh man, I can not thank this place enough for literally helping me when I thought I had no where to turn. Every single staff member from housekeeping to the directors were unbelievably kind and caring for each and every client and our different needs. Every single staff member takes the time to always check in with you, even if you're having a down day and just need to rest your mind and body. The everyday groups became something I looked forward to going to. I loved hearing how there really are people JUST LIKE ME! I had some of the best laughs and made great memories here. I made friends for life. I learned so much about myself that I didnt even know was there. I truly love every single human at Boca and I can't ever thank them enough!

I dragged what was left of me into Boca 3/4 of the way dead and I had completely given up on life. I've seen some very ugly things in my life and took some very heavy losses that year and decided I was going to crawl in a bottle and stay there until I was dead. It seems God and Boca had different ideas and if it wasn't for either one of them I wouldn't be here today writing this review the staff in Boca showed me love kindness and mercy when I needed it . It's not all about the clinical side of recovery there. The staff work through the heart I could actually see it in their eyes. And let me tell you I did not show them the same love kindness and mercy when I was there but they shouldered it anyway and took good care me I have nothing but love for the staff at Boca welll accept one guy there's always that one guy 😎

This place was amazing! The staff has also walked in shoes similar to my own so it made relating to them much easier! I was able to get a good head start in sobriety here! The residents were also amazing! If I had to refer anyone needing help I would definitely refer them here! It’s a great place to start your sober journey!
Sadly, Windmill now is allowing previous employees to post reviews. This troubles me. My initial review was heartfelt and honest. It upsets me that Windmill is doing this. Windmill used to be better than this. Perhaps it has to do with the new ownership.

I had the most amazing experience of my life! WWR saved my life in many ways. I tackled multiple addictions and took advantage of every service they offer (which there are many!). The counselors and recovery advocates are incredible. While I now have the tools to go back to the real world, I will miss this place in my soul. I would recommend WWR to anyone needing to face addiction or any other mental challenge.

When my younger brother finally decided to seek help for his alcohol addiction, I spent countless hours researching treatment programs. From the moment I came across the website for Tree House Recovery PDX, I knew this was something special. A truly unique program that stood out from every other rehab facility I had seen.
Tree House’s focus on building a brotherhood grounded in mutual respect, compassion, and empowerment immediately resonated with me. My brother had spent years feeling isolated and disconnected, and I knew this kind of community could give him the sense of belonging he’d been missing.
The combination of strength training and mindfulness yoga was unlike anything I had come across before. Replacing harmful habits with physical strength and mental resilience was exactly what my brother, once an athletic, active teenager, needed to reconnect with a version of himself that existed before alcohol took hold.
The program’s one-on-one, group, and writing therapy, combined with the educational classes on the mechanisms of addiction, make it one of the most well-rounded and thoughtful approaches to recovery I have ever seen. Tree House has given him tools to cope with disappointment and setbacks, develop healthier reasoning skills, and rediscover the strength that comes from brotherhood, from leaning on and lifting up others walking the same path. He’s learned how to have fun without substances and surround himself with people who genuinely care about his well-being.

When I reached out, Matt was incredible. Our lives we had built over almost 40 years together were failing. We were scared, we were desolate and drowning, our family was tapped out, ashamed of our choices and finally desperately seeking help from anyone that would listen. No one was listening. We had waited too long thinking it was no problem, not really, we weren’t like “those people”, we knew that we could quit, he hadn’t relapsed he had had surgery and a month long hospital stay, we would easily just get a job, move in with family till we were on our feet, we’d done it many times before, he had been sober 17 out of 25 years, snap no worries….. we were so wrong about it ALL. Weeks later and my husband had been in detox for around 10 days in Eugene, the farthest place away my boys could find that would take and keep him, I had been making as usual, call after call, text chat after text chat, day after day, page after page, talking to each rehab, each place that said no, sent by them always to try another few and when they said no the search online would lead me to more. All of them said no for whatever reason, mostly full beds and even if there were available beds, they wouldn’t take our insurance since the Covid exceptions are all expiring. Or they would take our insurance but only for detox which he is already in. The luxury, lol, rehabs all offered self pay ofcourse, thousands upon thousands and we had no money. I had almost given up any hopes we once shared and I got a text back from someone. Not wanting to hear no again after pouring out our story through tears, I was frustrated and angry and I got to the point, “do you take our insurance or not?” No answer but they said I’d be chat contacted soon. Sure. Sure. Then I was, his name was Matt from Tree House Recovery, and he listened. I couldn’t believe he listened. My husband is 60, he is lost. I am lost. Matt gave me hope. Tree Houses Website and videos and links to YouTube gave me hope. Matt asked me if My husband was tired of self medicating and being in life long pain, were our lives unmanageable, were we on the bottom. We were way past that and we were going to die. He still was listening. We have nothing but we will give anything just to have a chance. Amazing residential home! Or at least the one I was at in Huntington beach. Love the food, staff, nd they also helped me get a job towards the end of my treatment!!
Really enjoyed my stay, i completed CPR a few months ago and it was difficult being away from my home in NC but it turned out to be the best thing that happened to me. I now have 6 months of sobriety and I'm enjoying being back with my family and living this new way of life. When I think of California Prime it instantly fills me with so much peace! I came into the program a couple years ago I was a lost, scared, insecure broken woman with addiction issues that were ruining my life. . Through out my stay I learned so many skills to change my life. The facilitators and staff are genuine, caring, compassionate, and informative. Today I have my life back! Does Magellan Health Cover Mental Healthcare?
All of Magellan Health’s solutions include behavioral health services which includes mental healthcare. However Magellan doesn’t decide exactly what is covered or how much coverage is available — your insurance plan does that. So it’s important to talk to your insurance company or employer’s benefits specialist to get the details of your plan before you begin a program.
Mental health services include crisis support as well as therapy and counseling. You may be able to get peer support from those who have gone through the same issues. Whether you struggle with depression or anxiety or other mental health concerns most insurance plans will provide at least some coverage.
One thing to keep in mind is that many people with substance use disorders also have mental health diagnoses. Having both together is called a co occurring disorder or a dual diagnosis. If you have a dual diagnosis is essential to get integrated treatment that addresses both issues so you can maximize your chance of long term recovery.
What Inpatient Addiction Treatment Does Magellan Health Cover?
Because insurance companies focus on medically necessary care, you must have a treatment plan created by your physician from the beginning. Your doctor may rely on the ASAM criteria to determine whether inpatient treatment is best.
As you go through the detoxification process, it’s often safer to do it under the care of a physician and additional healthcare workers. Inpatient treatment allows you to medically detox safely as the first step to your recovery. Magellan Health has many resources for inpatient treatment, but the treatment available is based on your specific plan, so it’s always a good idea to talk to someone about your policy.
After detox you may have inpatient or residential treatment where you live at the treatment facility and focus fully on your recovery.
What Outpatient Rehab Does Magellan Health Cover?
Outpatient rehab comes in several forms. The most intensive is a partial hospitalization program or PHP. This option allows you to live at home while still receiving treatment. It’s ideal for those who need more than a regular therapist or doctor can offer but don’t need 24-hour care.
The next level is intensive outpatient programs or IOPs. This is a comprehensive, intense form of treatment that still allows you to meet outside obligations to things like work and family. You generally have treatment three hours at a time, a few days a week.
Outpatient treatment focuses on psychoeducation, relapse prevention, group and individual counseling, and teaching coping and recovery skills.

Two medications often used in this process are methadone and suboxone. They are often used to treat opioid addiction and help reduce cravings while blocking highs that come from mood-altering substances. Specialists have found medication to be a valuable tool in the arsenal used to treat addiction.
If your doctor recommends any type of MAT, speak to your insurance company to ensure it’s covered before you start because coverage amounts and requirements vary per policy.
How Long Will Magellan Health Cover Rehab?
Recovery usually consists of a combination of things. Your doctor will determine your treatment plan and how long it should last. Every case is individualized to help every patient have the best chance of success.
