I was so desperate to find a facility like Journey Pure after a terrible experience I had in a detox facility in Miramar. Once I found Journey Pure I proceeded with caution, however the first time I walked in I was greeted by the staff like they truly care. The group members all made me feelI finally found an IOP that truly cares about my recovery and mental health. Heather and Buddy are so kind and knowledgeable about this disease. Groups are led by either Buddy or Heather so we get to see and hear their wisdom at every meeting. Dr is so easy to talk to. I look forward to every appt I go to at Journey Pure. They truly saved my life, sanity and I've found so many supportive friends. It's amazing how much I've learned about myself in a month and excited I learn something new every time I step foot into Journey Pure. I would give 100 stars if I could.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal. The length of stay at the detoxification program is determined according to the specific needs of the patient.
outpatient iconOutpatient
Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
seniors-program thumbnail image
Seniors Program
Nearly one million adults age 65 and older live with a substance use disorder. Treatment providers who specialize in senior care understand the social, psychological, and physical effects of aging and how they relate to recovery. They can help clients address particular challenges and risks they may face as they get older such as overdosing and medication interactions and dependencies.
military-program thumbnail image
Military Program
Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Desperate to find a place my husband could find help and victory with his recovery, I knew I found it when I heard Zilpa s calm and caring voice on the other end of the phone. Then we met Budy and I knew my husband was in great hands to walk with him to full recovery.

I transferred over from another Dr in Palm beach about two months ago to continue my Suboxone treatment and Dr. D has been absolutely amazing, appointments are always on time, she s very compassionate and cares about me and all of her other patients. Zilpa the awesome woman working the front desk does everything she absolutely can to assist with getting you help and places where you need to be. I cannot recommend this place enough! It is also much cheaper than most other places, it has been the cheapest I have been to in Florida. They not only offer treatment, they also have sober living available and addiction mental health services.

JourneyPure was my recommended IOP after I finished residential treatment at Hanley Center in West Palm. For the time that i've been going there, It has been nothing but an amazing iop and group therapy center and I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. The staff are welcoming, and never have invalidated or judged my past and present. They are really an amazing help to my recovery.

Journey Pure has been essential for my recovery. When I joined JP, I was newly in recovery from alcohol and hard drugs. The staff met me where I was at and immediately set me up to see the doctor for med management and therapy. What I love most about the staff at JP is, is that they not only have the professional experience but also personal experience with battling addiction. I m currently in intensive outpatient program (IOP), and I look forward to going to group! We are family! It is evident that the facilitators really care about you and your never just a number or looked at as money to be gained from your insurance company, which I ve experienced in other facilities. Journey Pure keeps me accountable and they help a lot with support to stay on track! I highly recommend journey pure for outpatient treatment! They are vital to my recovery and new way of life!

I just wanted to share that my experience at journey pure has been absolutely amazing from the minute. I walked in the door. I felt comfortable in the group and with the amazing therapist. Zilpa at the front desk is such a fun and loving person to be around. My therapist Heather is a really great human and her experience in the field makes her a shining star. Buddy, another therapist and group leader is so cool and welcoming and brings incredible expertise to the program. It really does feel like a family the people in the group sessions really come together and support each other . I would highly recommend this program to anyone who is in need of intensive outpatient therapy. Everything about the program has blown me away. I feel lucky that I happened to end up at Journey Pure.

I started out at journey pure very broken, lost, and afraid in early recovery. Not much hope. My counselor and the staff were amazing and so accommodating to my needs. We came up with a plan of action and met regularly to discuss my goals and weekly struggles. Things turned around for me with their help and life got good. Today I have a job, working relationships with my family, a stable home, and a firm foundation in my recovery. I'm a satisfied client of Journey Pure Melbourne and it's awesome staff.

Im giving 5 stars only because it wont let me give more! I was trying to find an out-patient program and I called JourneyPure Melbourne and spoke with Zilpa, who was very helpful. Her and Tina truly care about the clients. She even called around and found a bed available for me to go detox. That saved my life! After I completed 21 days at a detox facility, I came back and joined the IOP group, at JourneyPure, which has been an absolute life-changer! My counselor Buddy, is just wonderful. He s super easy to talk to and hands down the best counselor I ve ever had! I can definitely recommend JourneyPure Melbourne to anyone who is getting on the path to recovery and wants to succeed!
