I just left this place and have mixed reviews.PROS: THE PROFESSIONAL STAFF ADMINISTRATION WAS GREAT. THEY RAN GREAT GROUPS AND SEEMED TO REALLY CARE. THE DOCTORS AND NURSES ENGAGED AND WERE VERY NICE. I MET WITH MY THERAPIST AND A LIFE COACH WHO HAD A GREAT.OUTLINE FOR ME. THE TECHS WERE VERY HELPFUL AND GOT YOU WHERE YOU NEEDED TO GO.CONS: WHEN I CALLED TO REGISTER TO LET THEM KNOW THAT I'M VERY SERIOUS ABOUT MY FAITH AS AN ISRAELITE AND WHAT THINGS I NEEDED TO DO TO OBSERVE THE SABBATH. THE PERSON ON THE PHONE SAID THEY WOULD ACCOMMODATE MY RELIGOUS BELIEFS. THE ONLY THING I ASKED WAS FOR ME TO REFRAIN FROM GOING TO BUSINESSES AND LET ME STUDY FRIDAY AFTER SUNSET AND NO OUTINGS SATURDAY AFTER CLINICAL. WHEN THE FIRST WEEKEND THEIR END OF THE BARGAIN WAS NOT HELD UP. I EXPRESSED TO THEM HOW SERIOUS I WAS ABOUT SERVING THE MOST HIGH AND I FELT STRANGE VIOLATING THE SHABBAT. BAD ENOUGH I COULDN'T ATTEND THE HOLY CONVOCATION AS THE BIBLE REQUIRES. THEY SAID THEY COULDN'T MAKE ADJUSTMENTS FOR ME WHICH I UNDERSTOOD THEREFORE I REQUESTED TO GO HOME AND THATS WHEN THINGS CHANGED. IT HAPPENED ON SATURDAY SO THE TECHS WERE THERE WITH A FEW GROUP FACILITATORS. THE TECHS THEN LIED ABOUT HAVING ACCESS TO THE SAFE. THEN THEY SAID I HAD TO WAIT TO MONDAY SO I LATER AGREED. THEN THEY GOT ANGRY AND SAID YOU CAN LEAVE TODAY BUT ONCE WE GET YOUR STUFF YOU HAVE TO LEAVE ON YOUR OWN IMMEDIATELY. I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND WHY THEY WERE ANGRY WHEN IM THE ONE WHO SPENT OVER $1000.00 ON FLIGHTS, FOOD AND HOTELS AND WAS LIED TO. I GOT MY STUFF THE HOUSE AND THEY TOOK TO THE CENTER AND JUST LEFT ME IN THE HOT SUN. LUCKILY I HAD THE MONEY TO GET AN UBER AND A HOTEL ROOM UNTIL MY FLIGHT THE NEXT DAY. THE FEMALE TECHS ON SATURDAY WERE SO RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL. I COULDN'T IF I WAS A PERSON WITHOUT THE MEANS TO SUPPORT MYSELF. THE FUNNY THING IS THEY HAVE EVERYTHING SET UP FOR THOSE WHO OBSERVE CHURCH ON SUNDAY.I HAVE A PRESENCE ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND WILL BE DISCUSSING THIS ON MY PAGE AND MIGHT SOUGHT LEGAL ACTION FOR DISCRIMINATION BECAUSE OF MY RELIGIOUS BELIEFS.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
Clients typically choose inpatient rehab when they are in early recovery or are experiencing a crisis that puts them at an increased risk of relapse. They reside at the treatment center for the length of their program, which may range from two weeks to more than 18 months, depending on the program design. Intensive psychotherapy is often the primary treatment modality, but clients in inpatient care may also receive holistic treatment and recovery-focused life skills training.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
12-step icon12-Step
12 step programs support recovery through emotional, psychological, and spiritual development to address the root causes of addiction. These programs are peer directed, with participants regularly attending 12 step meetings, which are anonymous, free, and accessible day and night, year-round. Recovery is based on "working the steps" to understand the source of addiction, take accountability for one's life choices, and relinquish control for that which cannot be changed. Age-specific, gender-separate, and other specialized programs are widely available.
partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program
A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term form of intensive rehab, usually for those with acute symptoms that are hard to manage but don’t require 24-hour care. PHPs have structured programming (i.e. individual and/or group therapy), and usually meet 3-5 days a week for around 6 hours (i.e. 9am-3m). Some PHPs are residential (patients sleep on site) and some are not, so patients sleep at home. PHPs can last from 1-6 months, and some offer transportation and meals.

Treatments

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Therapists who apply cognitive behavioral therapy in Florida believe patient thoughts and behaviors are closely linked. They use this treatment method to help clients change their thought patterns so they can also change behaviors and break free from substance abuse.

Dialectical behavior therapy in Florida consists of individual therapy and group instruction. This structured program is a form of psychotherapy that incorporates the development of skills for managing emotions and relationships.

Group therapy provides a safe and supportive environment for people in Florida who are struggling with drug addiction. There you can openly discuss the challenges and progress you're making without fear of judgment from your peers who experience many of the same things you are.

Trauma therapy helps you work through the psychological impact that traumatic events have had on your life. Your therapist helps you identify the physical, emotional, and mental triggers and develop coping mechanisms. This helps rebuild a sense of safety and trust in yourself and others.

EMDR is a therapeutic modality originally developed to help process trauma. In an EMDR session, a patient is prompted to undergo eye movements that mimic those of REM sleep. This is accomplished by watching a therapist's finger move back and forth across, or following a bar of light. The goal is repetitive sets of eye movements that help the brain reprocess memory, which can significantly reduce the intensity of remembered traumatic incidents. Associated memories can heal simultaneously, leaving patients significantly calmer, more stable, and more emotionally relaxed.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Life skills are the core skills you need for daily success. They can include self care, stress management, daily routines, and emotion control. Rehab treatment includes the development of these skills so you have the tools you need for long term recovery.

Recreational therapy helps you recover from addiction by giving you structured activities that promote your physical health and mental well being. These activities could range from sports and fitness to creative arts and provide a constructive outlet for your emotions and stress.

Creativity is inherently healing, and can help those in recovery express thoughts or feelings they might not otherwise be able to. Creative arts therapy can include music, poetry/writing, painting, sculpting, dance, theater, sandplay, and more. Unlike traditional art, the final product matters far less than the experience of creation and expression itself.

February 2024 I made the difficult decision to Marchman Act my 22 year old son after him going through an extremely rough year of addiction and revolving detox/rehab doors. Sylvia Brafman was highly recommended to me by a friend who sent his son there, so I put in a call to the facility and within a day a zoom meeting was set up with owners Jaime and Ben. From that first meeting I felt supported, understood and relieved that I would not be going through this process alone. They reassured me that they would walk me through each step and work with my Attorney to assure my son received the best care possible. What really appealed to me was the different therapies that were offered at the facility such as EMDR therapy and Art therapy as my son had been through a lot of trauma and suffers from PTSD. Every interaction with Jaime, Ben and my sons therapist has been extremely positive with any questions or concerns being immediately addressed. The facility is really on top of following schedules and protocols to help their patients move along at the right speed. My son has also really connected with some of the other patients and formed long lasting bonds with them which has helped him during his time there. I will forever be grateful to Sylvia Brafman.

My loved one had the best experience here. We as the family were involved every step of the way - family night was particularly incredible. Ben and Deana were extremely compassionate and always kept us in the loop. Unfortunately we have been down this road before with limited success, and it wasn t until Sylvia Brafman that we saw true progress. Mental health treatment is second to none, housing is nice enough. Definitely recommend SB.

I haven't received care from the facility but was inquiring about their services. Spoke to Morgan and she was very friendly, did not rush our conversation and was very knowledgeable. She follows up and really cared. Never got irritated on all the questions I had. She definitely is a passionate person and cares for people's mental health & wants them to get better. PS: Also answered the phone very Politely and very professional. Thanks and appreciate you Morgan Diane

Started my recovery journey here. Very grateful to the caring staff here as they gave me the tools to help me start a new life. Career Launch was a very helpful program that also set me up well for re-integration into the workforce after some time out of the job-market. Its worth the investment in yourself!

I'm the Problem, C'est MoiI've been at the Sylvia Brafman Treatment Center for nearly two weeks now. One of which was in-patient and the second of which I begged to be released to my home and my family. I am starting to realize how much I feel I need to control things and how it's been a detriment to my marriage, my family and now ultimately, my opportunity to flourish. If you had asked me two weeks ago what led me here I would have put the blame on others. My vernacular would have sounded something like "If only this didn't happen..." or "If this person had just..." I would have believed if I could just escape nasty words (more of which have been hurling from my own mouth than I'd like to admit) or incredulous people that my life would be tolerable.Tolerable. That's what I've been striving for. Tolerable. I started to believe if I could just avoid my triggers then I could avoid snapping. As anyone who has spent more than 5 seconds with me knows, I am a mom. I was born to be one. I always wanted to be one this was the one career that I demanded be on my resume. For the years I was infertile I was ready to adopt, just like me. Two weeks ago I would have told you I was here for them. I would have told you how desperately I wanted a peaceful home. I would have told you my exhaustive list of all the things I've tried to improve my marriage and family and I would have believed that I had given it my all.But tolerable truly was my goal because I believed nothing better could come. I believed that if I didn't have a partner that was helping me train for that race or affirm me in my love language of words of affirmation that it was just time to throw in the towel. After a speech and video Denise showed us today I realized that of course I didn't have that because I had become the toxic partner. I had become the one with harsh words and tones. I was so hurt that I felt like I was the victim, when in actuality, I had become part of the problem.A wise person once told me that "Hurt people hurt people" and here I had done it again at 37 years old on my second marriage. Three children under 5 begging and pleading to let me continue my breast feeding journey and putting that above me getting proper medication to treat my bipolar II. If it happens once, it's an accident. Twice could be a coincidence, but this stops right here. I'm the problem. When it comes to flourishment, what is required for me to truly embrace what this means is to allow for some humility. I don't know anything. I can talk about how self-actualized I am and how I am in alignment with my values but until I relinquish this control, I won't get anywhere. So here's my chance to flourish and I'm not going to let that pass me by. Recommit me to housing so I can focus on improving and understanding myself for the betterment of myself first and foremost and my family next.Chris in his talk today spoke about a car with two blown wheels and only one spare. Our family car may be broken and I may only be a spare today, but to flourish I will relinquish control and do this right. And once I'm repaired I hope I can inspire changes in the broken systems I have learned to tolerate and I have myself created. I'm the problem. C'est moi. This program, while there are still flaws, is honestly one of the best things that's happened to me in my life. I'm so blessed to have the opportunity to go here. I was going to keep my assignment this week to myself, but if this helps one person, then I will share it. If you're on the fence about coming here, come. DSD. Do something different.
