About New Dimensions Day Treatment Centers

New Dimensions Day Treatment Center's Katy Counseling Services is a private substance abuse and mental health disorder treatment program. They provide a partial hospitalization program (PHP), an intensive outpatient program (IOP), outpatient treatment, dual diagnosis treatment, and aftercare services. You'll find 'em located in the heart of Katy, Texas. They're accredited by The Joint Commission.

The PHP can be described as a full-time outpatient treatment program. Clients spend most of their days in treatment in a highly structured environment and return home at night. PHP treatment includes individual and group therapy, relapse prevention training, motivational interviewing, and cognitive (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).

The IOP offers flexible but intensive treatment. It meets less often than the PHP to accommodate busy schedules, and it strongly emphasizes peer support.

Outpatient treatment is the least intensive level of drug rehab care. It’s typically used by clients with mild symptoms or by those who have completed a higher level of care. It meets less often than the IOP.

A dual diagnosis program addresses substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders.

Aftercare support is continuing support for clients who have completed treatment. It includes relapse prevention and additional support.

New Dimensions Day Treatment Center may work with private insurance plans like Kaiser Permanente, Magellan, Value Options, Cigna, and TRICARE. Clients are advised that out of network benefits may vary, so they should confirm insurance coverage before enrolling in a treatment plan.

Making an appointment was very easy; unfortunately, the medication management was not effective, and the symptoms were very difficult to manage, making it impossible to attend the sessions. As a result, my relative was dismissed for missing two sessions.

I enrolled as a patient at New Dimensions with no prior experience with iop. I called all around Houston and I gave this center a chance because they were the first ones to pick up the phone with a sense of compassion in their voices. I am an adult in my late 20s with alcohol and substance abuse history and I have ptsd from past traumas in my life as well as severe manic depression. My life had gotten to a place of complete unmanageability. I was scared that my diseases would eventually cause my inevitable death and I did not know any of the tools I needed to be a healthy functioning adult. All of that slowly and subtly started to change and improve because of the professional guidance I received from ALL of my therapists and counselors there. I learned how to replace bad habits with healthy ones and I choose my well being over the things that I can't change on a daily basis, one day at a time. I will always feel a sense of gratitude to this facility.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
After completing some form of inpatient care, many clients transition or step down to an outpatient rehab, while some choose to transition from detox directly into outpatient care. High-intensity outpatient programming, including partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) is widely available for clients in early recovery, those leaving detox, and those at an elevated relapse risk. Clients in outpatient care generally engage in robust addiction counseling and recovery education, and some also receive medication assisted treatment (MAT).
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
A drug intervention in Texas may be necessary if your loved one is in denial about a substance use disorder. You can partner with intervention services to plan and execute an effective intervention that educates your loved one about addiction and encourages them to get the treatment they need. Many rehab centers offer intervention specialists who can facilitate the intervention and help with a seamless transition to inpatient rehab for treatment.
partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program
A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term form of intensive rehab, usually for those with acute symptoms that are hard to manage but don’t require 24-hour care. PHPs have structured programming (i.e. individual and/or group therapy), and usually meet 3-5 days a week for around 6 hours (i.e. 9am-3m). Some PHPs are residential (patients sleep on site) and some are not, so patients sleep at home. PHPs can last from 1-6 months, and some offer transportation and meals.

Treatments

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Together with an experienced trauma therapist, you work on healing emotional wounds from traumatic experiences within a trauma therapy environment. Your therapist will help you process the experience of the trauma, which promotes emotional healing and improves your overall mental health.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

New Dimensions katy location is a wonderful mental health facility. Patrick and Regina are both excelent therapists. Iv gained so much insight from being a patient. The groups are small and intimate. Iv made new friends throughout the program and have been able to open up more than any other time in my life. This program has not only been a great help to me, but iv seen much improvement in my peers in the group as well. The therapists help to gentle direct the patients in the right direction to help us come to our own healthy conclusions for ourselves and our lives. I feel safe enough to explore all of my emotions and am able to come to healthier choices for myself. I feel advocated for and cared for. Each patient is important to the therapists at New Dimensions and has their own individual treatment plan taylored to them. The facility chooses discussion topics based on what the patients in group need to process to help us move towards healing.

My loved one is attending this program and her experience is very positive. I have seen significant progress in helping her manage her anxiety and depression. She is also learning so much and is bringing that back to the family in a really interesting way. It s definitely a combo of therapy, learning, and in her case, helping her find the right prescriptions to help her sleep and manage her mood swings. I went to the intake session and spoke to Patrick and left completely confident this was a great place for her. Facilities are really nice too.

Patrick and Regina are excellent therapists. They always make time for us. Group is a great mix of people from different backgrounds but it s a safe and welcoming place. Cognitive behavior is a big focus on treatment as well as group sharing and classes on mindfulness. If you are open to healing, listening, sharing, and relating to other people, you will see an improvement in your well being very quickly. I think that if you come in closed minded, not appreciating what others can teach you, you may feel unsatisfied. I am very grateful for the program. Everyone in the group have been wonderful welcoming people and we become a close knit support system for each other. The therapist really help with that as well encouraging unity and sharing. More people should use a service like this.
