About The Ranch Pennsylvania

Their residential program is their most intensive level of care. It requires the client to live there for the duration of their treatment. Partial hospitalization is a step below this. This program allows you to return home each evening while you still have a full day of treatment each day.

They also offer medication assisted treatment during your detox process, if necessary. This process can help you lessen your withdrawal symptoms and cravings by an impressive margin. You’ll be supervised by professionals to make sure nothing goes wrong and to ensure you’re as comfortable as possible.

They are also a dual diagnosis center. Many people who struggle with addiction also tend to have co-occurring issues with their mental health, such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and even schizophrenia. This is why this type of dual treatment is so important.

In addition to all this, you’ll get gender specific services and receive trauma informed care while undergoing treatment. Treatment also includes counseling services, such as individual counseling, group therapy and family therapy. Their modalities of treatment encompass cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and 12 Step practices. They also have more holistic and experiential services, such as adventure therapy, therapeutic drumming and mindfulness practices. There is plenty here to benefit from if you are seeking freedom from drug or alcohol addictions.

I was completely satisfied with my stay at Promises, The Ranch Pennsylvania. I got so much from their program and am consistently using the coping skills I learned there to maintain my sobriety. A special shoutout goes to my therapist there, Tiffany, she was amazing and really helped me to learn to love myself again. I miss her terribly. My experience there was second to none and I would highly recommend it. If you are struggling with mental health and/or addiction this is tge place for you. And, the property, grounds, and view of the water are absolutely amazing. Thanks, Meghan Edden

I want to write a review that is as fair as possible. I went to the Ranch for alcohol detox, depression, and C-PTSD. I will be honest that I was in an emotionally difficult head space. So, I went to The Ranch to get help. The Ranch is set in a beautiful natural environment. I loved the set up of cabins and the main building. It gives the feeling of a vacation lodge. The chef and his team make really yummy meals that everyone loved. I met some other clients who were really nice and friendly. There were a small handful of staff that I was able to safely connect with also, and they were very supportive and helpful to me. However, there are incredible systematic issues that need to be addressed by the corporate higher ups. It isn’t just one or two staff, it is the entire system that has corroded. The nurses and BHT staff are way overworked and under staffed. - I waited and complained for several days to nursing about several medical issues I had. It took over 4 days to just get me on Dr. Rob’s calendar for an appointment. - I had an infection that was very uncomfortable and getting worse, that was never fully addressed. - There were major HIPAA violations in the nurses station. I could hear nurses talking clear as day on the phone about myself and others. A simple noise machine would solve this issue, but they aren’t addressing it. - I was lied to several times by staff. For instance, on a Saturday I had some medical issues that needed attention. At 6:30 am, I spoke to a nurse about them. She said that she would send an email to the “on call doctor”. I kept checking in with her throughout the day to see if the doctor had responded. She kept saying “not yet.” Later I was told that there were no doctors working on the weekend. I was told that I could go to urgent care. This is a major concern for me that I spent 6 days in discomfort, and not a single nurse gave me the option to take care of the infection quickly by going to urgent care. The BHT staff were also overworked and understaffed. - There were major inconsistencies with how staff handled the community environment. - A few seemed to generally care and I could talk to them, but other staff were burnt out and felt very unsafe for me. When I attempted to talk with them, I became more escalated, rather than being helped. - Many lacked basic skills in deescalation and healthy communication. - There is a definite lack of neutrality in how some staff handle community relations. Giving favoritism and preference to some clients over others. - I don’t think that one single client should be given a leadership role in the community over all others. This sets up a precedent that is extremely unhealthy and dangerous in a community like this. Allowing the client to feel superior and more entitled than others. Leadership roles should be diverse and dispersed among all to give a sense of equal ownership and partnership to everyone. All in all, the lack of information, communication, deception, waiting for days for much needed medical attention, and having to navigate hard situations by myself, left me extremely disregulated to the point of having to leave AMA. It wasn’t until I drove off the program’s property that I realized just how shot my nervous system had become. I processed my experience with my husband on our way home, and realized that this program was ill equipped to treat me. It was definitely a good learning experience for me. I have spent the last two days researching various residential programs all over the USA. I found one that is much smaller and more specialized in C-PTSD that is located in California. I fly out tomorrow morning. I realize that I am very privileged to even have such an opportunity. I recommend The Ranch for those who have mild to moderate mental health concerns. However, if you’re experiencing severe mental health issues, I would suggest going elsewhere. They just simply aren’t equipped to manage these symptoms, unless they make major improvements to their program.

Accepted Insurance

Please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

The Ranch Pennsylvania works with several private insurance providers, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Outpatient rehabs specialize in providing comprehensive care for clients who choose to remain in their homes and communities during treatment. Their services may include transitional support for clients stepping down from intensive inpatient programming. Ambulatory medical detox may be provided for clients at low risk for withdrawal complications. Many programs include evening, night, and weekend services to accommodate clients who are working professionals or caregivers. Addiction counseling and life skills training are common treatment modalities.

Inpatient rehab provides clients with an opportunity to focus solely on their sobriety away from the stressors of the home and workplace. Clients receive housing, food, and intensive clinical supervision. They also typically engage in multiple addiction counseling sessions each week, including daily individual, group, and/or family sessions. Most programs also prioritize recovery-focused life skills training, including courses in relapse prevention. Many facilities offer evidence-based holistic therapies, such as yoga and meditation.

Clients receiving services from a rehab aftercare program are usually stable and in the maintenance phase of recovery, having completed detox and/or intensive inpatient treatment. Rehab aftercare services can vary widely based on clients' individual and evolving needs, but often include peer coaching, relapse prevention support, 12 step program induction, and medical, mental health, and social service referrals. Individual care plans are typically developed by the client in partnership with their case manager and care team.

Because the severity of withdrawal symptoms can fluctuate, constant monitoring under 24-hour clinical care in Pennsylvania is recommended for early recovery. As you undergo detox, medical staff will supervise your health and ensure severe symptoms do not develop or threaten your life. Professional counselors will also be available to treat mental and emotional health needs.

12 step programs prioritize the recovery journey as a life-long process based on personal spiritual growth and ongoing peer support. Regular attendance at 12 step meetings, which are held multiple times each day in most communities, is expected. Participants also receive one-on-one mentoring by a self-selected peer sponsor. The 12 steps are designed to encourage participants' self-compassion, awareness, acceptance, and accountability. Dedicated programs for specialized groups, including seniors, teens, and families, are common.

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. The Ranch PA treats addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders simultaneously. This helps clients recovery fully and address all the issues contributing to their struggles.

The Ranch PA treats clients with primary mental health disorders like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, personality disorders and more. Clients receive behavioral therapy and medication management as appropriate.

The Ranch PA treats substance use disorders with evidence-based approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. Clients learn why they abuse drugs and alcohol and acquire healthy coping skills to prevent relapse.

Programs

The Ranch PA treats men and women struggling with substance use disorders and mental health disorders

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Dialectical behavior therapy in Pennsylvania is an evidence based technique that involves group therapy, individual therapy, and phone coaching. Group sessions focus on learning behavioral skills. Individual therapy gives you the opportunity to apply what you're learning to your personal situations. Phone coaching allows you to call your therapist during the week for help with challenging situations.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. In trauma therapies like EMDR, clients process trauma and move through it with the help of trained mental health professionals.
