I arrived at the Retreat at Sheppard Pratt suffering from severe obsessive-compulsive and body dysmorphic disorders. Jon Hershfield and the OCD team provided me with exceptionally skilled treatment so I could return home to a significantly higher-quality, more productive, and happier life. I worked specifically with Jon, Molly, and Rebecca (the entire team is fantastic), and they are without a doubt the most knowledgeable, compassionate, intentional, and collaborative clinicians with whom I have ever worked over the course of my 30+ year journey with OCD. They educated me on my conditions and empowered me to build the skills and tools necessary to live with and effectively manage these chronic illnesses. They worked closely with my psychiatrist and social worker on my care team at the Retreat to create a holistic approach to recovery. They also ensured that I was discharged with a comprehensive plan to execute with my psychologist at home. I highly recommend them and am eternally grateful for their life-changing care.

Phone system is now fixed so I can give 4 stars. My daughter is a patient with a therapist who is at the Timonium office and has nothing but good feedback. And my daughter won't just talk to anyone. It's been a hard time finding someone she will talk to. I will say prior to this month the phone issues were horrendous. So those reviews with ppl mentioning phone issues are accurate. If something should change I'll update my review.

Update 09.02.24 - Still working with Yvette and things are still going great! My treatments are still effective and I feel 1000% better when I leave. I appreciate that she has a listening ear and doesn't judge me. Thank you for being a part of my treatment team! :)Update 02.28.24 - I always have a great experience with Yvette! She is professional but also gives me great insight into what I am going through and dealing with. Overall, I feel good about it and glad I made the choice to choose y all s services last year. So helpful and professional all around. Greatly appreciated!I am thankful to have been given the information for Balance Point when I needed it the most. I love the holistic nature/approach of Balance Point as I am able to get most (if not all) of my needs met all at one place and for that, I am grateful. My parents and siblings (as well as myself) typically come here for check ups and health. We are usually with Dr. small and he is fantastic! (just in very high demand so it is hard to make an appointment with him- great problem to have!)I recently met with Mark Lamos for the first time. He had a cancellation and was able to get me in.All staff is incredible! But, I especially enjoyed Dr. Lamos. He felt like a friend or family, even after just meeting him once. As a 22 year old girl who just graduated college, life can be chaotic, making it hard to prioritize health! He was so great at making me feel comfy but also addressing anything I genuinely need to work on to be healthier!He is excellent! He will make you smile, feel comfy and happy to be there! I am so grateful I got to meet with him! Thank you Dr. Lamos for making me feel seen and cared for!
