I recently completed a detox and residential treatment program at Numa, and I can't express enough how transformative this experience has been for me. From the moment I walked through the doors, I felt a sense of hope and support that I hadn't felt in a long time. The staff at Numa are incredibly compassionate and professional. They took the time to understand my unique situation and tailored a treatment plan that addressed my specific needs. The detox process was challenging, but the medical team was always there to ensure my safety and comfort, providing round-the-clock care and encouragement. The residential treatment program was equally impressive. The therapy sessions, both individual and group, were insightful and empowering. I learned so much about myself and the underlying issues that contributed to my substance abuse. The holistic approach, which included activities like yoga, meditation, fitness, and sound baths, helped me find new ways to cope with stress and emotions. The facilities were clean, comfortable, and conducive to healing. Overall, my time at Numa has given me a new lease on life. I feel equipped with the tools and strategies I need to maintain my sobriety and live a healthier, happier life. If you or a loved one is struggling with substance abuse, I highly recommend Numa. It truly is a place of healing and hope.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Inpatient rehab provides intensive treatment for clients exiting detox, those in early recovery, and those at an elevated risk of relapse. Unlike outpatient drug rehab, clients receiving inpatient care reside at the facility for the duration of the program. The length of stay may range from two weeks to 18 months or more, depending on the client's needs and the program's design. Inpatient treatment typically involves extensive addiction education and recovery-focused life skills training.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs offer clients in addiction recovery a robust continuum of care after clients have completed active treatment. These services address recovery as a life-long process and are designed to evolve with clients' changing needs. Clients may partner with their case managers and/or addiction recovery team to identify the rehab aftercare services that are right for them. They may receive career counseling, housing assistance, peer coaching, 12 step program induction, among many other services.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
When addicted, quitting your drug of choice suddenly can be dangerous. That's why experts agree a medically assisted detox is the safest way to remove addictive substances from the body. Usually done in an inpatient setting, your vitals signs and overall well being are consistently monitored and rechecked in order to keep you safe and ensure the detox is successful.
outpatient iconOutpatient
Clients receiving treatment at an outpatient rehab typically do not require hospitalization or intensive supervision and support. Outpatient addiction counseling and recovery education are often offered during the morning, evening, night, and weekend, allowing clients to tailor treatment to their own schedule. Partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs are the most time-intensive and are designed for clients who are at an increased relapse risk and/or who need more robust therapeutic support.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) support a client's sustained sobriety as they exit detox or step down from an inpatient program. IOPs are also designed for clients who are at an elevated risk of relapse. Intensive outpatient treatment typically requires clients to engage in a minimum of nine hours of therapy per week, but clients may receive up to 20 therapeutic hours weekly. IOP treatment modalities often combine psychotherapy, recovery-focused life skills training, and medication assisted treatment (MAT).
partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program
Commonly known as "day treatment," a partial hospitalization program (PHP) is an intensive form of outpatient treatment where clients meet during the day and return home in the evening. PHP treatment doesn't require 24-hour care and often serves as an alternative to inpatient hospitalization or a step-down after a residential program. With PHP treatment, you can receive daily support for 6 to 8 hours which includes evidence-based therapies and medication management. The cost of PHP treatment typically varies but averages 90 days.

In California, substance abuse treatment programs can help individuals with any type of substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions. These rehab programs typically encompass various levels of care, including medically assisted detox, intensive outpatient, outpatient, residential rehab, and partial hospitalization. Inpatient treatment for drug and alcohol addiction with a focus on mental health is a good fit for people who need closer monitoring and care. Alcoholism, or alcohol use disorder (AUD), is defined by alcohol dependence. This is a state the body reaches when it experiences withdrawal symptoms in the absence of alcohol. A person who has AUD craves alcohol and continues to drink despite adverse consequences. Because withdrawing from alcohol can pose health risks, individuals with AUD should seek professional alcohol rehab in California to overcome their alcohol addiction. This process typically involves medical detox, rehabilitation, and maintenance.

California's mental health and substance abuse rehabs provide dual-diagnosis treatment options for individuals looking to address co-occurring disorders. These programs are usually offered on either an inpatient or outpatient basis. You can usually expect a mental health assessment and personalized treatment plan, evidence-based therapies, like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), experiential therapies like equine therapy, skills groups, and counseling to simultaneously address both mental health and substance abuse and drastically increase your chances of long-term sobriety.

Clinical Services

Cognitive behavioral therapy in California is a method that therapists often use for the effective treatment of substance use disorders. It is based on the principle that substance abuse stems from unhelpful ways of thinking and patterns of behavior, which can be changed by helping the individual learn better ways of coping.

While participating in dialectical behavior therapy in California, you'll focus on four key areas of skill development: mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance. Treatment includes weekly individual and group sessions.

Numa Recovery Center was the best (and only one) detox/residential facility I ve been too! It definitely was a holistic experience and is the reason I m so passionate about my recovery/sobriety. It gave me a totally new perspective on life and I m so thankful for the owner and the program because it definitely worked for me! They also have numerous wonderful amenities from the gym, cold plunge, sauna, and acupuncture!! Food was awesome, they always had a wide variety of comfort food and healthy options also. Also it was like a family like setting where we got together and ate breakfast some days, barbecued, and went on fun outings. Another special moment I got to experience with Numa was celebrating my birthday there, and they gave me so much of love and support on that day! They also were pet friendly, and allowed not 1 but my 2 doggies to stay with me while in residential. Groups was also great, they had days with yoga, days where we would play games together (my favorite group ), a nutritionist, a life coach and even panel meetings I m totally satisfied and would totally recommend this to other addicts wanting to get sober! Thank you Numa for the healing experience!

Upon arrival we informed staff and the owner that visible hand sanitizer was a trigger and would create a problem if our family member had access to it. The owner assured us it would not be an issue... BUT, of course it was! Our son did not complete 7 days of alcohol detox - but we sure did pay 7K in full beforehand and we were not offered any refund whatsoever.

I intended to go log enough for detox only. I quickly found that Numa had so much more to provide. I ended up staying for 21 days. The staff and the groups were wonderful. The facility is beautiful and the property is comfortable, secure and beautiful. If you or someone you know is in need of help for substance use, I highly recommend Numa.
