The Ascension patient portal is horrible. I can t send a message to my care team . Not sure why I can only send a message to my primary care doc who I haven t seen in months and the actual doc that took care of me wasn t an option.Trying to access my test results and no images come up, the other test results either has a link that does nothing when you click it or says you have contact the provider. I really don t understand.

Accepted Insurance

Ascension Sacred Heart Bay works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient rehabs encompass multiple levels of care to facilitate clients' progress through their recovery journey. Clients who are stepping down from inpatient treatment may require intensive outpatient (IOP) treatment, which involves more frequent and substantive therapeutic interventions than does standard outpatient care. Outpatient centers typically provide extensive addiction counseling, including individual, group, and family therapy. Medication assisted treatment programs (MAT) and recovery-focused life skills training are also common in outpatient care.
inpatient iconInpatient
Clients typically choose inpatient rehab when they are in early recovery or are experiencing a crisis that puts them at an increased risk of relapse. They reside at the treatment center for the length of their program, which may range from two weeks to more than 18 months, depending on the program design. Intensive psychotherapy is often the primary treatment modality, but clients in inpatient care may also receive holistic treatment and recovery-focused life skills training.
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
24-hour clinical care in Florida is an essential part of treatment, particularly with medical detox. Withdrawal symptoms can be severe, and supervised detox provides around the clock access to medical professionals who can adminsiter proper medications and treatment to address these symptoms and step in should an emergency occur. This intensive clinical care will help curb the withdrawal effects, minimize substance dependence, and prepare you for the next step of treatment.

Treatments

Mental health and substance abuse treatment in Florida is offered by dual-diagnosis facilities that can provide comprehensive care tailored to your needs. By integrating mental health, medical care, and therapeutic care, medical experts can effectively treat both co-occurring mental health conditions, stabilizing your mental health, and helping you learn vital skills to achieve long-term recovery.

Clinical Services

Trauma therapy helps you work through the psychological impact that traumatic events have had on your life. Your therapist helps you identify the physical, emotional, and mental triggers and develop coping mechanisms. This helps rebuild a sense of safety and trust in yourself and others.

The staff in Cath lab put me at ease on arrival and work up before the heart cath. The only name I remember from the cath lab is Kaitlyn B., who was very supportive, but the whole staff was just as supportive. Excellent music was played during the procedure. I ll never forget Kristina in post procedure care, either. Nice and Good old fashioned nurse who made sure I followed proper post procedure protocol.

My husband was scheduled for arrival at 6a on 11/18/24. He was checked in, and placed in room around 6:30a. Our nurse was amazing (Jenny). We were advised around 8a that there was a scheduling miscommunication, and doctor would not be arriving until after lunch due to clinical. He would try to come sooner, but he normally doesn t schedule surgeries on Monday s until 4p. Doctor arrived around Noon. Recovery nurse was awesome (Eve). We left hospital around 3:30p to finally head home. The rating is based on scheduling. The hospital should have known the doctor s schedule on Monday s. We even received confirmation on 11/15/24 from hospital of arrival at 6a.

Had a superb experience. The ER, Cath Lab and general ward staff are the kindest, sweetest, caring folks I have ever met. #Blessed to have been admitted here. However, when I logged into the online portal a week later there were NO RECORDS. I called the hospital and the lady in records said I could not get them on the portal!! Seriously! When I was leaving I asked for the records because I live in Washington DC and was told it would be on the portal. Management needs to wake up - this is 2024! Me and my doctor s office shouldn t have to beg for MY records depressing
