Most of the staff are good but what gets me annoyed is how could they hire this one guy named Mr. Michael Miceli, who everytime called me at work and yes; I would pick up and participate but on a few occasions, I would have to hang up because of my job duties and he would catch a fit and threaten to not give me credit. Today was the last straw; he hung up on me because I told him; if this bothered you from the beginning then you should had stated that and we could have worked something out and he literally said I don t have time for you and hung up . Disrespectful and very unprofessional. I spoke to his supervisor and she was amazing and she was understanding. Nicole moved me to another group after hearing me out. My new counselor Kimberly is awesome. For the most part, the program is good but anyone could of seen this coming because of sarcastic ways. According to him: I m Italian, it s in my nature. I don t mean anything by it .Thank you Vertex.

With all due respect, I suggest owner/mgmt. to pay a bit more for front desk professional personnel. Trust me a goes a long way and it is worth it. The fact is because of that first impression the rest of the staff is going to be judge by it unfortunately. After all you get what you pay for. Your customers deserve better!

Accepted Insurance

VERTEX Outpatient works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
12-step icon12-Step
Participants in 12 step programs maintain access to community-based peer support, which is the programs' primary treatment modality. 12 step recovery combines personal growth with paper coaching. Participants regularly attend group meetings, which are free, anonymous, open to the public, and available multiple times per day in most communities. They are also mentored by self-selected sponsors who guide them through the steps of recovery. Age and gender specific and other specialized formats are common.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

When you choose drug rehab in New York, you'll participate in a variety of treatments that are designed to help you live a drug-free lifestyle. Common methods of treatment include group, individual, and family counseling, medication management, nutrition, exercise, and management of co-occurring mental health disorders.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Introduced in 1983, motivational interviewing is a method to help clients commit to change. It's based on the philosophy that change is hard, and clients must explore their own options and come to their own conclusions rather than receive warnings or advice from the therapist.

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in New York is a short term therapeutic method used to treat substance use and mental health disorders. CBT typically lasts from five to 20 sessions, based on the individual's needs.

Family therapy helps individual members of the family unit navigate the complexities of addiction. Therapists provide you with the tools you need to improve communication skills and conflict resolution. When families work together, they can support their loved one's recovery and help to restore balance and harmony within the household.

Men and women in New York undergoing one on one individual therapy for drug and alcohol addiction treatment will address the unique psychological and emotional aspects that are often associated with addiction triggers. Your therapist helps you build a relapse prevention plan and set achievable goals to improve your mental health and achieve long term sobriety.

You can participate in couples therapy to focus on a specific problem in your relationship or for general strengthening of the relationship. This therapy aims to help you improve communication, address conflict, and grow in affection for one another.

Petty director, Elizabeth Torres, threatens to kick clients out in their last 3 weeks if they don t meet her in person rather than over the phone; in the middle of a pandemic. It s still ghetto, staff is still unprofessional and your constantly having to call them to get into the virtual groups they offer. Go somewhere else because this place will just prolong the closure of your cases.

I have been in the program for some time now and I can honestly say my experience was def a good one. For the first time having a charge and having to attend a program it was a great experience. I realized I am not the only person that goes through issues in life and things happen that lead us down a path to correct ourselves. I was open and willing to accept and hear out others as well. I met some great people and even made some good friends. The staff was awesome and def help guide me through the steps. I thank everyone at Vertex for all the guidance and knowledge they provided. Highly recommended

Vertex has helped me by opening myself up, and sharing my personal issues in groups. They also have helped me with my issues with alcohol. Little by Little it has made me grow up from my past, and understand about it, and the outcome of my past. I hardly touch a bottle now, and I slowly live life one day at a time.

Dear VertexI John Berrios am writing this letter to say Thank You for all the help you've given me. By help I mean sticking by me, and Ms. Johnson for never giving up on me. She has taught me how to see life from a different point of view, and it feels good knowing that I had nothing but support through my Journey here at Vertex. In the time that I've been here not only did I stop using, I finally can say that I'm becoming the man I want to be, and my family needs me to be. When I started at Vertex all I did was make excuses and be mad that I had to come to this program. But as I got to know my Counselor, I started to trust her, and she helped me to be honest, not honest to her but to myself. I'm so happy that I can finally say I'm done with Drugs".Sincerely John BerriosP.S I LUV YOU Ms. JohnsonThank You. John Berrios
