Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
Clients often enter inpatient rehab following detox, but they may also enroll during early recovery or at an increased risk of relapse. Inpatient rehabs provide housing, meals, and intensive clinical supervision, allowing clients to focus exclusively on their recovery in a highly structured and supportive environment. Clients typically receive multiple individual, group, and/or family therapy sessions weekly. Many programs also offer extensive addiction education and recovery-focused life skills training. Integrative inpatient rehabs provide holistic therapies as well.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Clients in a rehab aftercare program have typically completed detox and intensive inpatient and are medically stable. These programs are designed to address addiction recovery as a life-long process. Outpatient counseling and recovery education are typically categorized as drug rehab aftercare, but many clients continue to receive support after being discharged from formal outpatient treatment. Case managers and recovery teams facilitate clients' access to peer coaching, career counseling, 12 step program induction, and related services.
partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program
A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term form of intensive rehab, usually for those with acute symptoms that are hard to manage but don’t require 24-hour care. PHPs have structured programming (i.e. individual and/or group therapy), and usually meet 3-5 days a week for around 6 hours (i.e. 9am-3m). Some PHPs are residential (patients sleep on site) and some are not, so patients sleep at home. PHPs can last from 1-6 months, and some offer transportation and meals.
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
24-hour clinical care in New Jersey provides a setting where you can withdraw from alcohol or drugs under close monitoring of experienced medical staff. These trained professionals can intervene at any time if needed. They can prescribe medications to reduce cravings and physical discomfort. Mental health professionals are also available to address any emotional and psychological challenges you experience as you begin your recovery journey.

Treatments

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Building life skills allows you to demolish negative patterns of behavior and build new, healthy patterns. By building new thought processes, coping strategies, and behaviors, you establish a solid foundation for recovery.

I brought my 9 year old for bloodwork and an xray; starting with Angela who greeted us, everyone could not be kinder more courteous or efficient to get the work needed done and well.

My mother was there recently and had to be admitted overnight and my God the way the hospital has gone downhill. the staff are not responsive. My mother had to call me on my cell phone twice to ask me to call the desk as she requested a CUP OF WATER AND BLANKET and it was going on two hours later. It s not like when I was there it was any better. I had to walk out of her room several times to ask when someone was going to be bringing her medication and everybody looked at me like I was Speaking Another language. It was only after I called and asked to have a phone number to file a grievance that they provided my mother with a cup of water and blanket, and then the next day it was back to the same thing where she called the nurses station several times and nobody answered. Also, the place is filthy all of the money that they spent on the construction. They need to put into hiring staff that actually are attentive and have good bedside manner.. because it s not like it was so crowded that nobody could actually do those small things. I was there and witnessed it.

On 12/31/2025, I took my son in for severe chest pains, we waited over an hour with no communication from the two front desk receptionist. Lack of professionalism, care, and respect for patients care and their are the frontline faces of the hospital - Dam shame. They sat at their workstations talking about the Lion King w/o giving anyone in the waiting area an update. At the rate this hospital is serving people at CHECKIN, it will be close in last than 4 years. Finally, we saw the nurses, CT scan lady and Dr. Allen in the back area. What a wonderful experience from that team of medical practitioners. My suggestion give patients an opportunity to rate your work team from checkin experiences and medical care experiences ( back area). GOOD WORK MEDICAL CARE TEAM!

The nursing staff is not very good. They are more interested in being on their phones than attending to patients. They were reading the wrong chart for my mom, and getting ready to give her the wrong medication. I insisted on reading the chart, myself. This happened twice in one day.
