About Pines Behavioral Health Services

Pines Behavioral Health Services is a behavioral health facility located in Coldwater, Michigan. They have drug and alcohol rehab services. They provide outpatient services for adults with substance use disorder or those who are at risk of developing one.

They can provide intervention and prevention programs. They also offer evaluations for people accused or convicted of DUI. This evaluation can be used to provide treatment recommendations for the courts.

They have a specialized program for women. They have an intensive outpatient program in which you can recieve treatment several times a week for several hours a day. They also offer recovery coaching provided by other people who have successfully gone through recovery.

All clients who enter the program will be provided with a case manager. You will also have group and individual therapy. They accept Medicaid and other forms of insurance.

The best thing about this place is that they help people at every stage at addiction. Many rehabs do not provide intervention services. Here, an interventionist will work with you and your family. They will teach you the best way to confront a loved one who has a problem with drugs or alcohol. If you are detoxing from drugs, they can provide you with medically assisted treatment that will ease the discomfort you may feel.

People often do not feel comfortable talking about intimate issues such as addiction in a coed setting. The women’s program offers the opportunity to talk to other women with addiction issues in a group. This program is focused on the struggles of women with young children.

Medical briefcase icon Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Clients receiving care at an outpatient rehab remain in their own homes and attend treatment as often as daily, depending on the level of need. Outpatient care generally consists of psychotherapy, addiction education, life skills training, and community reintegration support. Many outpatient treatment centers provide step-down care, including partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), sober living, and standard outpatient services. Some outpatient rehabs also offer ambulatory medical detox and medication assisted treatment (MAT).

inpatient iconInpatient

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Clients receiving care in an intensive outpatient program (IOP) typically have completed inpatient treatment, but some choose to enroll in IOP immediately following detox. Intensive outpatient rehabs offer high-level support for clients in early recovery and those at an increased risk of relapse. Most programs provide between nine and 20 hours of treatment per week, with services ranging from addiction counseling to recovery education to medication assisted treatment (MAT). Holistic therapies, such as acupuncture, are common.

12-step icon12-Step

12 step programs are typically community-based and peer-led, though many rehabs base their treatment models on this approach. Participants engage in regular 12 step meetings, which are anonymous, free, and accessible multiple times a day, 365 days a year in most communities. Participants are also mentored by self-selected sponsors who support them as they work through the 12 steps of recovery, which include addressing the causes of the disease, taking personal responsibility, and relinquishing control.

sober-living iconSober Living Homes

Sober living homes in Michigan act as a bridge between an intensive level of care and the freedom of independent living. The primary rule in every sober living home is to stay sober. If a resident breaks this rule, they can be evicted. However, this environment is designed to prevent relapse, with mutual support, 12-step meetings, a structured schedule, and drug screenings.

heart-hands iconIntervention Services

During a drug intervention in Michigan, family, friends, and colleagues share in their own words how a person's substance abuse has affected their lives. An intervention must be carefully planned, with the goal of encouraging the individual to get treatment for their addiction. Many rehab programs offer intervention services to help families prepare for this confrontation and guide them through the recovery process.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

During a medically supervised detox, addictive substances are removed from your body while under the 24/7 supervision of medical professionals in an inpatient environment. This is the safest way to wean your body off of addictive substances, since quitting alcohol or certain drugs (like opioids or benzodiazepines) can be dangerous if done on your own. The program typically lasts around 5-7 days, but is highly individualized depending on your needs.

Heart icon Treatment

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

Drug rehab in Michigan provides personalized treatment to help individuals break this cycle and regain control of their lives. Treatment methods are used in various levels of care, including inpatient rehab, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, and standard outpatient treatment.

mental-health iconMental Health and Substance Abuse

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

inpatient-file iconCognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive behavioral therapy in Michigan helps participants view challenges more clearly so they can respond to them in healthy ways. During a limited number of structured sessions, clients learn about and practice these changes to effectively address substance use and mental health disorders.

dialectical iconDialectical Behavior Therapy

Addiction often involves intense situations and emotions. Dialectical behavior therapy helps you understand and regulate your emotions and better manage the situations that evoke those feelings. You'll receive mindfulness training and stress management training to cope more effectively with difficult emotions.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

Personalized therapy sessions for drug addiction emphasize understanding your background and behavioral triggers for substance use. Your therapist will collaborate with you to create an effective coping strategy and address underlying issues that clear the way for lasting change.

desert iconMotivational Interviewing

During motivational interviewing, therapists express empathy, support self efficacy, and develop discrepancies. By using these techniques, therapists help clients reflect on their desires for change and understand why and how they should move forward with those changes.

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

During trauma therapy in Michigan, you are guided through traumatic memories within a safe and supportive environment. Your therapist then provides you with tools to process traumatic events and reduce the symptoms that occur when you're exposed to a trigger. This improves your overall mental health and ability to function in the community.

couples-therapy iconCouples Therapy

Both internal and external factors can put stress on a relationship. Couples therapy helps you and your partner work through those stressors and find healthy ways to deal with challenges as they arise.

family iconFamily Therapy

Family therapy is often recommended for family units with a member undergoing drug or alcohol rehabilitation. Family therapy helps to foster communication and conflict resolution that creates a supportive environment. This helps the loved one who is struggling with addiction.

life-skills iconLife Skills

To maintain a healthy and productive life, you need certain life skills. They help you make good decisions and build good relationships. Because they are key to long term recovery, most rehab programs in Michigan include integrated life skills training.

Everyone was professional and polite. They worked with my 10yr old grandson who suffers from ADHD. He will be attending a class next week to help with anger issues.

I don't know what the negative reviews are talking about. Pines has helped WAY more with a family member than Lifeway's or Segue. They even offer group support for family members that are living with patients. I think it all comes down to: you get out of it what you put into it. Nobody can do the work for you. If you keep showing up, do the things to change your reality, and use the tools you're given in therapy - over time things do change for you. I see a common thread that patients are saying they don't help, my family member says the same. He also wants everyone to do everything for him and I'm not sure he actually wants to get better. If you're looking for help with a family member, this is the place. It took years of struggling & living in hell to finally get help with our family member with his resistance. From an outside perspective & someone that has been in therapy for years, even tried lifeway's myself - Pines offers more than acceptional programs. It's worth the drive. It's all up to the patient's to get what they need from themselves ultimately.

this "safe space" will lie to patients about what the counselors are required to report and just about everything else, and they don't care when they destroy the mutual trust you've built

I had been trying to get help for a place. And I had been kicked out. Even able to pay rent. But the guy didn't like me. Wanted to harasse me. Then Anette and Angel sided with the guy. Then told me that they would "help" me. Well they did the opposite. They were telling everyone how horrible they thought I was while just trying to seek help. And then also telling landlords I was destroying stuff. Furthering my drawbacks on anything. They say they help but only if you want to commit suicide do they even start to give a lick of a care. Even then they may still play around because they don't care about anyone but themselves.

For a place that claims they care, they sure as hell don't act like it. They recently dropped me as a patient due to a "lack of interest" on my end.Sorry to say, that when you father is dying of cancer, you tend to gain a huge lack of interest in things. Appointment dates slip from your mind when you are watching your loved ones die. Alas, even though I informed them of this happening in my life, they choose to drop me as a patient even though they diagnosed me with severe depression and PTSD in the middle of one of the biggest crisis I ever went through. Congrats on doing the absolute opposite of your job.

This is the worst place I have ever been to I tried to get help, and my appointments were canceled three times. Top it off I received a letter in the mail saying I refused service when that wasn t true at all. Very unprofessional. Also want to point out some of the workers are on drugs there and was appalled when I learned they let anyone work there.
