I had the pleasure of staying at free by the sea for there residential program. The property is beautiful and very peaceful. The staff is very helpful, friendly and nice.The meals and kitchen staff are AMAZING. The counselors are great and really care about you and your recovery. Their program is also very helpful and informative. The only thing I would change is the amount of phones that the residential clients have access to use, (only one) and also the area it is used (the front lobby). Other than that, this place is amazing and I strongly recommend it to anyone who is in need of treatment. I definitely plan on staying in touch with the staff members and giving them updates on my recovery. I most definitely made great friendships with most of them!!!!

I highly recommend Awakenings. I stayed for 90 days and got SO much out of it. I learned how to love myself, relapse prevention, what my triggers are, coping skills, dealt with trauma, guilt and shame, what addiction really looks like and means, how to communicate better, skills to help me deal with damage I have done to friends and family. The list goes on. Everyone of the staff members are amazing and you get group processing time daily as well as individual counseling sessions. Walks on the beach, community outings, AA meetings daily. I found a women s only inpatient to be more helpful for me because I felt I could honestly talk about any and all issues that I needed to discuss. With full sister support. I hope to only come back to visit but should I ever need help with alcohol again, this is the place I would choose.

I personally had no issues, but there was tons of drama there and it was very stressful on me personally. I was only there a week and 3 days and left and flew back home to cali. There is a really good male psychiatrist there who actually I met with a few days before I left, I can not recall his name but with his insight he really helped me figure out the things causing me to self medicate. I ended up getting clean on my own and have been clean now for 11 months almost a year!

I was referred to therapeutic associates after dealing with a weakness related injury from running. My main symptom being lower back pain (SI joint) glute pain, and knee pain during running. I was paired with Laura Cooper and Nate Palmer (so lucky to have gotten to work with both!!) and they gave me a ton of tools to build strength back in my glutes and core with a home program as well as in office training + body work. I really appreciated their thoughtful approach to answering my questions, helping troubleshoot the causes of the injuries, and helping to sustainably build me back up. I went from running 0 miles up to being able to successfully run again and got to squeeze in a 10k before the season ended! Thank you all for being the best.

There is nothing negative I can say about this place. There are always going to be bad reviews and good reviews. Most bad reviews are probably exacerbated in this kind of environment. These environments are extremely difficult to work in from a councilors perspective. From a patients perspective not only at this center but multiple others unfortunately. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I have worked with multiple employees and for the most part. I can't complain about anything. I have been fortunate enough to be assigned to work with one of the best councilors. I don't usually name drop named but Carrie A is a God sent. I have worked with various counselors. However as far as acknowledging, caring, understand, providing resources, validating, relating, ECT... ECT... ECT... It has been nothing but a huge blessing to have someone like Carrie in my recovery corner. My recovery path hasn't been easy and I'm still working on things. Im still climbing the uphill path to recovery. I still have a way ahead of me. However I'm not falling as much. I'm now learning to rest and keep going. I didn't get here overnight. This has been a lot my time coming for me since I was about twelve years old when I started in my addiction. Now after being in the worst situation I have ever been in since I started. I'm finally in a better place and on track with the right direction then I have ever been. Especially with ith the ongoing support and direction.I haven't reached all of my goals but as far as so sobriety goes. It's night and day. Yes I'm putting the work in. However when you have someone who back you up and hasn't given up on you because of the holistic understand and experience In addition and mental health that correlates with it. Means more then anyone who just only has an education. not to say a education doesn't matter. However with only an education. I can only say based off my experience only a small percentage are able to stay in these jobs and are able to relate and help others so long and successfully. In this environment the ones who have the experience, maintain soberity, and are willing to help others succeed. In my book are valued as having at least a bachelors degree in this field. I've been dosing here since 2014. I've lived in the Everett area for that entire time, until 2 weeks ago. I moved to Gold Bar, the only place I could afford to get a house for my kids these days. Now I have to travel 2 hours a day just to get my dose. This disrupts taking care of my kids, makes it REALLY hard to keep a job, costs me about 60 bucks every 2 days in my truck to get there. I guess poor planning on My part, but a family of 4 was crammed into a 1 bdrm apartment, our house is huge and it was best for the kids, so I had a decision to make. They do give u options for carries. But it still makes it really hard and stressful to get to that point, financially and otherwise. Haven't I demonstrated that I'm capable of taking my dose every day? Haven't missed a day in 10 years, shouldn't that be enough?
