Accepted Insurance

Ogden Regional Medical Center works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

When you enter a drug rehab in Utah, the process usually involves four stages: treatment initiation, early abstinence, maintaining abstinence, and advanced recovery. Treatment methods can rely on medications, counseling, or both, in either an outpatient or inpatient setting.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
hearing-impaired-program thumbnail image
Hearing Impaired Program
A sensory disability, such as hearing impairment, can compound the challenges of addiction recovery. Drug rehabs that are specially designed to accommodate the needs of persons with hearing impairments will include special accessibility features and accommodations to make treatment as comfortable and effective as possible. This may include access to American Sign Language interpreters.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

My grandfather was admitted today in this hospital and we waited for more than 7 hours to be attended and see a doctor. This is, without doubt, the worst place ever to receive help, you can to be dying and they don't care. This has been the worst experience I had lived in a ... Read More

I had gone to 2 other hospitals and 3 public health clinics just to get a few of my heart pills as I had left mine at home in Canada poor to Ogden Regional. I went into the Emwrgency entrance, was promptly waited on, saw a nurse very quickly and Dr Cliff Potter who was so gracious & helpful to me, I could barely believe this was an emergency dept. Thank you so much to all your staff & Dr Potter. Your kindness was truly amazing and I will pray for you every day. May God bless you. Rosalynn Schaefer.

I had the BEST experience in the labor and delivery unit. Everyone was so happy and helpful. We also had a stay in the NICU and had an amazing experience there as well. The staff was willing to answer any questions and was always willing to help.

I just switched my insurance so I can make sure it covers my primary care doctor since he switched practices. I ve always had McKay Dee in the past so I don t have a ton of knowledge with Ogden regional. After this trip to the ER it s really making me feel regret switching insurance plans. I ve had several issues over the past few months. Been misdiagnosed several times. I was referred to a GI with Tanner clinic and finally he is making sure I m heard and taken care of appropriately. He ordered a HIDA scan which is scheduled a week out, well this weekend I was in so much pain up all night puking and having major abdominal pain had a bit of a fever. I called mountain star nurses hotline to see if I should go in or try and wait on the scan and colonoscopy I have coming up. She said I should go in so they can do this scan sooner she told me to wait 4 hrs with no food or water and I finally was less nauseous but still having side and upper abdominal pain. When I went in, it was quick no wait so that was good. Got me back and I think there was a nurse in training which I m 100% fine with. The head nurse was telling her what questions to ask. Asked my pain level I said it s like a 5 until sharp pains hit and then it s a 8. The head nurse was trying to clarify and then tells the one charting me to put down 3. So that was weird. I could ve misheard but they gave me zofran and some pain med but didn t clarify. When I asked they just said I could drive on it. Still don t know what it was. The doctor came in asked me a bunch of questions but was doubtful of my symptoms. I told him I was up all night puking and he asked me if I use marijuana. Which I haven t for many years. He told me some people that use drugs get this. My GI thinks I possibly had a gallbladder issue but it didn t show up on an ultrasound I had done a month prior which is why he ordered a HIDA scan and colonoscopy. Anyway the doctor in the ER said it was doubtful it was my gallbladder and wanted to do an ultrasound again. I told him I already had one a few weeks ago and everything was normal. I don t see a point in another one and having to pay more money. This is why I called the nurses hotline before coming in. To make sure I am not wasting my time and money. I m scraping it by as it is being a single mom with a full time job and some illness that can t be figured out which started 3 months ago. So I miss a lot of work now. They did an ultrasound anyway and because of where they pressed on my side and back I made a flinch and said it was tender. They say the pain indicates fatty liver disease. Because of Murphys sign. I had blood work done on my liver weeks before and all within limits. The doctor refused to do the HIDA scan because a special nuclear team has to be brought in and I should just wait another week for the scheduled one. And he s sorry I feel bad. The entire time I felt disrespected because everything I said he would doubt it. He insinuated I have a drug problem. At least it felt like it. I know good healthcare is hard to get for women but come on it s 2024. McKay would have put me in for a CT right then and there as they ve done I m the past when I had pancreatitis. Now I m gonna have a huge bill and no results. I would suggest going to McKay ER over Ogden regional.

Not the best experience. Took my infant son here for an ear infection. The nurses and security staff were wonderful and very helpful. My son was seen for a couple of minutes by the doctor working and next thing I knew we had discharge paperwork and a prescription for antibiotics. I had to read the paperwork to figure out if he did for sure have an ear infection. It would have been more helpful if the doctor spent the time explaining what he saw and any symptoms that might come up while he was on the mend. I ended up calling the next day to double check with a nurse if it was for sure an ear infection.
