About Mountain Springs Recovery

Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is included with detox service to help ease withdrawal symptoms and reduce drug cravings. They use FDA approved medicines that help guests remain comfortable.

Their individual therapy sessions apply proven methods like cognitive behavioral therapy. This gives you one on one time to examine thoughts and behaviors that may relate to addiction tendencies. You can work on developing healthy coping skills, avoiding substance use triggers and learning relapse prevention methods for future use.

Group therapy is another crucial component of their program. It provides time to openly discuss addiction challenges with others in recovery who can empathize and understand your journey. It also reduces feelings of isolation, which often accompany substance abuse. Group sessions give you a community network with others, sharing the goal of long term sobriety.

Their unique program uses non 12 Step methods. You’ll learn evidence based practices that rely on proven strategies for accountability and recovery. Family therapy is available and may help loved ones understand more about the disease of addiction so they can provide a supportive network after treatment.

You can also access experiential therapies, which offer alternatives to traditional therapeutic methods. These methods may include equine therapy, music therapy and art therapy.

Holistic therapies are available that focus on the mental, physical and emotional aspects of addiction and healing. They have yoga, meditation and mindfulness techniques, which may help reduce stress and promote relaxation. These methods can help avoid relapse, assisting with long term sobriety.

Our son went in battling alcohol addiction. He got all the tools he needed to cope with his addiction. The staff worked with him and were patient while it took him a bit to embrace and accept all the program has to offer. He came out a new young man with a new look on life.

Accepted Insurance

Mountain Springs Recovery works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Levels of Care

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal. The length of stay at the detoxification program is determined according to the specific needs of the patient.

inpatient iconInpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

12-step icon12-Step

12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).

aftercare iconAftercare Support

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Treatments

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Creativity is inherently healing, and can help those in recovery express thoughts or feelings they might not otherwise be able to. Creative arts therapy can include music, poetry/writing, painting, sculpting, dance, theater, sandplay, and more. Unlike traditional art, the final product matters far less than the experience of creation and expression itself.

Equine therapy, aka equine-assisted therapy (EAT), is a form of experiential therapy that involves interactions and activities with horses. It does not necessarily involve riding horses, but all activities related to horses, such as feeding, grooming, haltering and leading them. A mental health professional frequently oversees the activities (often in conjunction with a horse professional), and helps patients process their thoughts, feelings, and behavior patterns during and/or after the interaction.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

My son has been to this rehab two times. Three months each time and both times there was no exit plan. He got out last Sunday and overdosed the next Wednesday. He is now in a hospital. I begged for a family call, it never happened. He would post photos of himself at concerts, fishing and shirtless with girls. He would not contact me, his mother, or anyone else that has poured into him for 25 years. My son needs help. I pray that God places him in a rehab that will help him. This is not the place. If you are reading this, you have someone that needs help. I also pray peace for your family and guidance to find the right program. Mountain Springs is a SPA paid for by having good insurance.

Truly amazing experience. I’m so very thankful to the entire team at MSR! I couldn’t have asked for a more effective team to assist me with this process. Incredible direct care staff, highly professional facilitators (one should be on a Ted Talk in the near future, he knows who he is), and truly thorough nurses with an incredible leader that stopped everything to help me when I needed it. Thanks, ya’ll! Heck yeah!

This place was horrible! If your looking for a luxury homeless shelter you will feel like home here. I can count a few staff that were great throughout my two weeks there. The MH side is not the great help they say they are, they have providers waking you up at 12 midnight to talk about your mental health. The food is horrible like for example Raisins in Gravy, like with all that insurance money they get and feed us like dogs. Therapist will throw 15 and 30 min watches like candy, just for insurance to grant them more days there. If you do come to this hotel you have to advocate for yourself what you need and when you need it! Management was horrible, and housekeeping as well. Worse facility in Colorado so far. The only good side of it is the scenery, mother nature will flip your MH right away to get out of that horrible spot. Never again

This was my first treatment and the expierence I don’t think could have been better. From the Behavioral Health Techs to nursing to the facilitators, cooks , maintenance, and clinical staff I was always taken great care of and never felt alone or awkward here. Most of the facilitating staff are in recovery themselves and they really understand what we are going through. John Aicher is the director of operations and has an incredible amount of experience working in treatment. He has made MSR an uplifting and fun atmosphere while a lot of us were going through our darkest times. I truly cannot thank these people enough for what they did for me.
