Recently, after a week-and-a-half hospital stay, my mother spent about two-and-a-half weeks here at Hillside. She was treated very well, very kindly, and very attentively. The staff were very friendly, communicative to her (and myself as her caregiver), and very good at their jobs. Our family has had nightmare rehab stories from other facilities with other family members, so we went in with a negative predisposition, but we were relieved and glad to have those expectations subverted.Highly recommended.

I have been going here since I was a young child. I feel safe and I feel loved. They help us through our daily lives. I appreciate the opinions that they provide. Helping us find programs that work for us. It's important to share with your counselor the things you may need or can use. And yes it's hard when you get to know them and they sometimes move on to bigger and better things. But know when they leave they will make sure you are taken care of. The trust goes hand in hand. I have had a lot more positive energy and coping mechanisms. Thank you.

I was here from 11 years old to 13, I had been to the oregon state mental hospital, trillium, farm home and youth villages, and out of all of them, this place is the best. I have mixed feelings about jasper. I left a better person I do believe, but I was not ever stayed in contact with like I was told, and that hurt. Left a bad taste in my mouth. I had got to know everybody I was there with, staff members, Ethan is one I really remember, and there was a short man with a ring he would play with and we would play chess. I have been doing really well if anyone remembers me. Really happy to see you guys are still on a mission. Not sure why 7 years later I decided to leave a review at 1:35 in the morning, but here I am.

There is nothing negative I can say about this place. There are always going to be bad reviews and good reviews. Most bad reviews are probably exacerbated in this kind of environment. These environments are extremely difficult to work in from a councilors perspective. From a patients perspective not only at this center but multiple others unfortunately. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I have worked with multiple employees and for the most part. I can't complain about anything. I have been fortunate enough to be assigned to work with one of the best councilors. I don't usually name drop named but Carrie A is a God sent. I have worked with various counselors. However as far as acknowledging, caring, understand, providing resources, validating, relating, ECT... ECT... ECT... It has been nothing but a huge blessing to have someone like Carrie in my recovery corner. My recovery path hasn't been easy and I'm still working on things. Im still climbing the uphill path to recovery. I still have a way ahead of me. However I'm not falling as much. I'm now learning to rest and keep going. I didn't get here overnight. This has been a lot my time coming for me since I was about twelve years old when I started in my addiction. Now after being in the worst situation I have ever been in since I started. I'm finally in a better place and on track with the right direction then I have ever been. Especially with ith the ongoing support and direction.I haven't reached all of my goals but as far as so sobriety goes. It's night and day. Yes I'm putting the work in. However when you have someone who back you up and hasn't given up on you because of the holistic understand and experience In addition and mental health that correlates with it. Means more then anyone who just only has an education. not to say a education doesn't matter. However with only an education. I can only say based off my experience only a small percentage are able to stay in these jobs and are able to relate and help others so long and successfully. In this environment the ones who have the experience, maintain soberity, and are willing to help others succeed. In my book are valued as having at least a bachelors degree in this field. The ones who have the experience, maintain soberity, and are willing to help others succeed, with a bachelors are valued as having a masters in this field. A doctorate is rare and if so being able to relate with one might be a little disconnected. These are just my options.Anyway thank you another chance and a huge thank you to Carrie A.Matthew

How Much Does Drug Rehab Cost in Eugene?

Eugene is the 142nd most expensive city nationwide for addiction treatment affordability, with an average cost of addiction treatment of $57364. This is comparable to the average cost of $58894 for addiction treatment in Oregon and comparable to the national average cost for drug rehab of $57,193.

The costs of drug and alcohol rehab in Eugene vary widely and depend on several factors, including:

Comparing the Cost of Rehab in Eugene

The costs of addiction treatment listed for cities and states are averages based on the cost of medical detox, inpatient rehab, outpatient rehab, and medication assisted treatment. These averages are high due to the cost of medical detoxification and residential inpatient rehab programs.

These numbers also reflect the raw cost of drug rehab, before any insurance coverage. The typical individual seeking addiction treatment can expect to pay much less for outpatient or intensive outpatient services than the averages listed below.

How to Pay for Addiction Treatment in Eugene?

There are many ways to pay for drug rehab in Eugene. Most rehab treatment centers accept cash or self-payment, as well as private health insurance. However, there are many treatment centers in Eugene that accept Medicaid and Medicare, or offer sliding scale payments or other low-cost payment options. Here's the complete breakdown of how to pay for addiction treatment near Eugene.

Top Insurers for Drug Rehab in Eugene

UnitedHealth Group is the most widely-accepted insurance for drug rehabs in Eugene, with 18 treatment centers in the city accepting their insurance. Blue Cross Blue Shield is the 2nd most popular with 17 treatment centers accepting it followed by Aetna in 3rd accepted by 16 drug rehabs.

    Drug Use in Eugene

Eugene has the 81st highest rate of drug use nationwide among nearly 400 cities surveyed. This number reflects the combined use of cocaine, heroin, meth, and marijuana, displayed individually below. The percent shown for each drug represents the number of residents in Lane county that have reported ever using the following drugs, so these numbers should not be interpreted as direct evidence of current drug use in Eugene or Lane county as a whole.

    Drug Related Crime in Eugene

In 2023, Eugene had the 262nd highest number narcotics violations out of 330 cities nationwide, with a total of 160 reported drug-related incidents that year. This includes cases of public intoxication, drug arrests, narcotics found during house calls and traffic stops, and any other drug-related crime.

Keep in mind these numbers are dependent on accurate record keeping and reporting laws by local police and sheriffs, and may not fully reflect all drug related crime in Eugene.
