Wait, wait wait. Then, maybe you will receive respectable and qualified medical care, maybe not. Their U.S. News report, as advertised, is nothing more than a PAID advertisement and ranking. Thank goodness there are alternatives, and soon a respected hospital competitor will open in Alton. What are your experiences with JMC ER?

I am at Jupiter Medical Center due to catastrophically bad care at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center. I begged to be transferred to Jupiter Medical Center, even at my own cost. Palm Beach Gardens didn t even seen seem to entertain the possibility. I fell and broke my leg leg and begged to be taken to Jupiter due to past bad experiences at PBG. I was told that I needed to sign the admission and surgery permit sheets, under duress, due to the eminent possibility of the two bone ends coming through the skin if I didn t immediately get surgery. One of the last things I remember seeing before surgery at PBGMC is excrement on the wall. When I woke up after surgery there it was poop still on the wall. I was told your vascular surgeon needs to do another surgery on you. However, Jupiter Medical Center is always spotlessly clean. I truly do believe the staff at Jupiter is the very best, especially the nurses and nursing assistants. I also believe that If I had originally been taken to Jupiter, I would not be awaiting amputation now. Of course nowhere is absolutely perfect, but JMC comes close. If you value your life or your limbs, I urge you to utilize Jupiter Medical Center. Jo Schilling

Accepted Insurance

Lighthouse Detox – Jupiter Medical Center works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
military-program thumbnail image
Military Program
Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

If I could leave -10 stars that would not be enough non-for-profit my butt went to the emergency room with terrible insurance for three hours they charge my insurance $11,000 and still want 2500 from me. This is the biggest scam rip off in the world if you have a choice go somewhere else they will let you die before they give you care. I laid in the emergency room for three hours in agonizing pain before I got to see anybody, say it again they are an absolute crook operation

Oh where do I start. Was sat in a haul way for 3 hours, on a plastic seat. The nurse that gave me the IV put it my arm so hard my hole arm is black and blue and that s never happen. I understand that they deal with people all day but isn t that part of the job. If you don t like people then you re doing the wrong job. All the nurses care about is sitting around talking. God forbid you have to ask them for something. ProThe rudest people in town work at the hospital. It s like that every time we have to go there. Supposedly the best hospital around pull of the rudest people ever.

Beware bringing your sick children here. I brought my son in for facial and neck swelling along with 103 fevers and he was sent home by the NP in the ER with hardly any assessment done and advised he had a dental abscess - Mind you he had sudden onset facial and NECK swelling. I fought with the NP to try to get imaging and blood work done due to the amount of swelling present and she flat out refused. I brought him to Cleveland Clinic, 12 hours later and blood work, a CT, and US were all done and he was admitted to the hospital for SIX days and his airway could have been compromised. He had NO dental abscess. Please teach your providers to actually assess their patients and pay attention to when children need further care! I will never return to this ER!

My experience at Jupiter medical Center was excellent. Dr Wiseman was exceptional in my surgery and right now I feel so much better due to his knowledge. During my recovery I was surrounded by wonderful nurses and very lovely people. Amanda was one of my primary nurses and she was very sweet, caring and had a lot of patience. Definitely recommend this hospital and Dr Weissman.
