First step: no one tells you any rules, if you break one don’t be surprised when you’re ashamed you did something wrong during group. When you asked in front of 20 people for a summary don’t feel shame you don’t know what they are asking in front of people, just say pass since it’s unclear what they are wanting, when they say homework, again if you don’t know just pass. If you feel like talking to someone to help you cope, he t another addicts phone number in group is what they tell you. Even though you can call an addict from home. Why go to treatment if you feel worse after being there? Tell them you want to commit suicide. A peer will text you to say go to detox. I have no reason to go there because no one cares really. Lunch is good though. Say this isn’t for you so you’re referred to zoom classes. They said they will call you in 2 days but they never do. What is going on is everyone there expecting you to know how to deal with this alone. If you want to feel alone with no help go to WFG

I don't know. The program started out OK and everybody was real nice, friendly and encouraging. Then suddenly somebody decided that that nice, friendly and encouraging "wasn't what I needed" and from then on, everyone treated me like crap. I haven't had a drink in 37 years but I was in a mindset to do that anyhow and I got absolutely nothing from Serenity Lane. They got a bunch of my insurance money which they didn't earn. I got just as much if not more from AA.

For For close to 13 years, I was a client of Odyssey and Emergence. In the beginning of that time, I experienced some of the best counseling and mentorship ever.Jeanne Gillard was the most amazing teacher i have ever had. Jeanne was compassionate, knowledgeable, experienced, thoughtful, and honoring. She had gone through many life trials, challenges, and victories of her own.She was a person our group could truly trust. She was incredible at celebrating our victories and encouraging us to push forward when we fell short. She had a wealth of knowledge and presented it with heart each week.Jeanne Gillard, Joe Beal, Zana, Michelle, and other DBT teachers were incredible!DBT with Zana and others, along with Art Therapy with Joe, and Grief and loss weekends with Jeanne Gillard, sparked some of the best healing I've ever experienced.Emergence and Odyssey between 2010 and 2019 especially with Jeanne was pristine.Like an organic apple with no worms. Then something toxic entered, like pesticides, gmo's, or food irradiation.Slowly the best counselors and DBT teachers departed. But we still had Jeanne!!I was still blessed with my counselor Joe.. but this year Emergence and Odyssey completely lost its soul and backbone..In my opinion.I called in several times for support after we lost Jeanne and Joe and was never offered solutions or an alternative support group or counselor.Through Jeanne's support group and counseling, I overcame a 9-10 year gambling addiction. I had 5 years and 9 months' success, not gambling..I always knew I could call and reach her.. even after hours she could be found on the gambling help hotline.I also completed a peer support specialist class under her leadership.I imagined following in her footsteps.Jeanne was probably eligible for retirement, but our group wanted and needed her and couldn't imagine ever finding anyone as great as she was.If she ever retired from Emergence, it should have been the biggest party and celebration ever, in her honor!!Emergence and Odyssey should have a statue and plaque honoring Jeanne and her legacy!!She should go down in history with great honors and a huge bonus and a deluxe retirement plan..But this plague and poison that entered Emergence and Odyssey caused this Organic, pristine and fruitful apple tree to become a toxic, worm infested, bruised and inedible cancerous mush.I am appalled by the dishonoring that Jeanne experienced in leaving Emergence. The lack of support for her clients upon her departure was also incredibly hurtful.I was so traumatized and lost without Jeanne's support, knowing I wouldn't reach her on the helpline, knowing I couldn't attend her support group, losing my great counselor Joe, too.Seeing great people dishonored.. added to the grief and loss and trials of my life.Via Joe's counsel I was victorious in reaching my goals for health and wellness beyond gambling abstinence.I lost 92 pounds last year..down from 250!But then I lost him and Jeanne. I got stuck in a place I couldn't get out of with an abusive addict, fatalities occurred, loved ones died, cancer scares, and other tragedy entered my life and I no longer had the support at Emergence and Odyssey. On July 26th 2023 I gambled again. Just months short of my 6 year anniversary of abstinence.I gained back 40 lbs.To admit this publicly is not easy..But here I am, awake at 4am knowing I need to cry out against this injustice and what feels like a crime.Jeanne should never be allowed to exit Emergence without the greatest of honors.A governors banquet in celebration of her contributions.. a visit to the Whitehouse.Future models of treatment designed around her incredible examples!!The injustice in her departure contributed to my disillusionment and fall.It is incredibly disheartening to see what has happened at Emergence and Odyssey! There may be many casualties in its wake.

I called to ask if they had help writing a letter for the small claim court. They helped me there a few years ago and now I asked for help and they sent me to the library. Supposedly the government is helping that center for the Latino community. We don't know English and A service that I requested before in that place is now denied to me. That is not correct, especially because the government is sponsoring them! No? Because they receive money for each person who has help with a DWI and they keep them as long as possible because they receive help from the government for each person they keep in that institution and

I transferred here from another clinic and let me start by saying this is one of the most understaffed clinics in Oregon! Yet there all about taking more money and keep starting new people and they can t even take the case loads they have! They treat people terrible! the secretary Peety is the most incompetent, unintelligent, human being I ve ever been around! She is constantly gossiping with people who attend there about other clients! She is definitely the top 3 grossest humans I ve met but hey If you re thinking about coming here find out for yourself! Just wish I would ve known before I came here. They were just purchased so hopefully they will b clearing house!

This review is from an experience my daughter and I had 1 year veggie the pandemic when she was in middle school. I reached out to her school to try to get her done help as other avenues at the time had been exhausted. She needed a therapist. The school was contacting with Looking Glass and sent someone out. Before the meeting we spoke over the phone and all information was given. In the neon she spoke with both of us. I got this very strange feeling from her. It was complete hostility and hate towards me and even my daughter was confused. My mama bear senses started to give off warning bells. When she asked to speak with my daughter alone I left the room known this is part of the process. When I came back in one look at my daughter told me almost everything.I realize this person was very young and was likely in her first year post College so I tried to do my best to not get angry. I asked "is there something someone has reported from the school to make you think I am a danger to my child?" no she says. OkI tried again, "did you speak to my daughter before this meeting?" again a no. "so why would you call child protective services before EVER ONCE meting with us? When I am the one reaching out tong to get therapy for my daughter? When I contacted the school then spoke worth your organization?" my daughter started getting upset with me. She was so desperate to have someone to talk to she didn't realize what was going on and thought I was just jumping to conclusions. I didn't leave this review back then because the entire ordeal was so far fetched and disgusting I just wanted to forget about it. Was hoping that I'd missed something and my fears were unwarranted. Maybe my daughter had talked to them and just didn't tell me? But now years later I have a completely open and honest relationship with my daughter and these are the facts.I reached out to get my daughter therapy. The reasons therapy was needed were nothing to set off warning bells. ADD ADHD. But demographics were taken over the phone (why? Does it matter what color my and my daughter's skin is?) but a single white mom of a mixed race teen reaching out for therapy and we were reported to child protective services before every meeting with anyone. Racism comes in all colors and forms. I hope your organization is learning from your mistakes. Even CPS worker couldn't understand why you reported and they never even visited our home. Just apologized and encouraged us to not stop looking for help.

Recently, after a week-and-a-half hospital stay, my mother spent about two-and-a-half weeks here at Hillside. She was treated very well, very kindly, and very attentively. The staff were very friendly, communicative to her (and myself as her caregiver), and very good at their jobs. Our family has had nightmare rehab stories from other facilities with other family members, so we went in with a negative predisposition, but we were relieved and glad to have those expectations subverted.Highly recommended.

I have been going here since I was a young child. I feel safe and I feel loved. They help us through our daily lives. I appreciate the opinions that they provide. Helping us find programs that work for us. It's important to share with your counselor the things you may need or can use. And yes it's hard when you get to know them and they sometimes move on to bigger and better things. But know when they leave they will make sure you are taken care of. The trust goes hand in hand. I have had a lot more positive energy and coping mechanisms. Thank you.
