I m writing this review as it has been 6 months and 1 day since a small group of family and indirect supporters led me to Enterhealth after months of isolating with Tito s was followed by years of binge drinking and drinking throughout the day, to get through the day.Everyone s journey in sobriety is different and people take away different things from recovery. This is my 2nd time to go to treatment and it has been completely different than my 1st time. I feel like Enterhealth not only got me sober , but they helped me battle this by addressing my physical health, my strengths and weaknesses as well as my mental health. I also feel like I was given the freedom to be in charge of my own recovery plan. Physical and mental health were important to me and they allowed me to dive into that. I m also not religious so I was much more receptive to their curriculum on the disease instead of just praying it into remission with AA. (Although they do offer AA based groups).Other things such as the community, the food, the privacy of your own cabin, the routine and the amenities are all major perks that help you focus on your treatment.I will say, this place is a major investment. I would be wary if your loved one is resistant to change. I feel like Enterhealth is a huge gift. I would recommend this place to anyone who is ready to embrace a better life and is ready to work for it.

My partner admitted himself when I was 17 weeks pregnant with his child for mental health reasons. He was there for 6 weeks during his time there he left me, kicked me out of our home, and wants nothing to do with me or to take any accountability or repair any damage that has been done in our relationship bc of his choices. I have had to go through my pregnancy alone without the support of my partner because of this place. He does this all in the new found self respect he says he gained in this place. This has been devastating and severely traumatizing to have to go through, I can t even imagine the stress it has caused on our baby. Our daughter is going to grow up in a broken home now after he went in there. For a place to enable this kind of behavior from a man should be illegal. Believe the other reviews when they say the person came out worse they don t lie.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Inpatient rehab programs are geared toward clients in early recovery. They also provide intensive support for clients in crisis and those at an increased relapse risk. Clients receive housing and meals while in inpatient care, allowing them to focus solely on their recovery. Most programs prioritize addiction counseling but may draw on various psychotherapeutic modalities, including CBT, DBT, RBT, trauma therapy, and motivational interviewing. Life skills training and holistic therapies are also common in inpatient care.
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
Intervention services helps family or friends of addicts stage an intervention, which is a meeting in which loved ones share their concerns and attempt to get an addict into treatment. Professional intervention specialists can help loved ones organize, gather, and communicate with an addict. They can guide intervention participants in describing the damage the addict's behavior is causing and that outside help is necessary to address the addiction. The ideal outcome of an intervention is for the addict to go to rehab and get the help they need.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs are based on a model of continuing care and the premise that recovery is a life-long process requiring ongoing client support. Many rehab aftercare services include outpatient care, but clients often continue to receive support after being discharged from formal treatment. Case managers and care teams typically collaborate with clients to design their long-term care plan, which may include peer coaching, career counseling, and 12 step program induction, among other services.
12-step icon12-Step
12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

During rehab in Texas, you'll deal with underlying issues that contribute to addiction. By addressing these challenges and learning healthy ways to cope with them, you'll develop strategies that help you live a drug-free lifestyle.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
hearing-impaired-program thumbnail image
Hearing Impaired Program
A sensory disability, such as hearing impairment, can compound the challenges of addiction recovery. Drug rehabs that are specially designed to accommodate the needs of persons with hearing impairments will include special accessibility features and accommodations to make treatment as comfortable and effective as possible. This may include access to American Sign Language interpreters.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Treatment that takes a dialectical behavior therapy approach focuses on four strategies. Distress tolerance will help you accept and tolerate intense emotions. Emotional regulation will teach you to manage those emotions. Mindfulness will keep you in the present moment instead of regret or worry. Interpersonal effectiveness will teach you to manage your relationships.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Therapy sessions that incorporate motivational interviewing focus on OARS: open questions, affirmation, reflections, and summarizing. This facilitates an exchange of information and an empowering of the client to decide for themselves what changes might need to be made in their lives.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

The right life skills training will help you build the skills you need for recovery. You'll learn how to solve problems, improve your social life, enhance your mental health, and make good decisions. This is a key component of drug rehab programs in Texas.

When used as recommended, nicotine replacement therapy in Texas provides enough nicotine to help you avoid severe cravings and withdrawal symptoms after quitting smoking. This increases comfort so you're less likely to relapse into your smoking habit.

My experience exceeded my expectations in every way. The staff and professional therapists treated me with respect, warmth and kindness. Laura Auldridge was especially instrumental in my healing with her knowledge, compassion and humanity. I firmly believe any individual in their care that puts in the work will be justly rewarded in their experience. I would highly recommend Enterhealth Ranch.

About a beloved Family member with a 68-day stay at EHR. Praise God, still now 2.5 years post-care at EHR, they are still sober and improving in so many other areas of life as well. EHR s Professional therapist, counselor and care coordinator, Ms Kim Benson, was absolutely the answer to our family prayer. IMHO, having long term successful programmatic outcomes is not about the company or the branding or name, but instead the program succeeds with truly helping people with addiction when they have and properly utilize people like Kim who invest themselves fully and personally in resident patient care, with wise professionalism, attending also to spiritual dynamics, and always garnered with love and genuine compassion. Kim was their secret sauce.

I could not recommend Enterhealth Ranch more. The entire staff were professional and courteous. They go above and beyond to help you. You can tell they genuinely care about your sobriety. Autumn, in particular, showed compassion as she navigated me throughout my stay. Always answering my questions or concerns promptly. Every therapist I met was phenomenal. The property is beautiful and peaceful. You have your own room and can have cellphone- which is a plus. The food was great and nutritious. Kitchen staff were lovely. Everyone knows your name and asks how you are. Attend all the classes and get to know the other clients. I appreciated and learned so much from them. Enterhealth s unique, challenging curriculum taught me a lot about the disease of addiction and my part in it. How to challenge my thoughts and beliefs. I look forward to attending monthly Alumni events. I m also continuing my aftercare with their IOP program in Dallas. Could not thank Enterhealth enough for my jumpstart on this sobriety journey.

My experience was completely satisfying. The medical staff, therapist, faculties and opportunities to challenge the Ranch versus my beliefs is outstanding. The education about how and why addiction affects some people has been key in supporting my desire to remain sober. This is the difference that makes the Ranch successful.

Enterhealth got me sober. The lessons, advice and counseling I received at Enterhealth KEPT me sober. For reference, I'm writing this 9 months into my sobriety/recovery as of yesterday (Sobriety date 5/19/2023).I checked into Enterhealth in late May of 2023 having burned many bridges due to my alcoholism. By diagnostic standards, I met all of "the signs" of an alcoholic all the way back in 2018. Rather than admitting I had an issue I decided to try to live in active defiance and denial of my addiction.Five years later it all caught up to me. I ruined the relationship with the person I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I embarrassed myself in the academic setting (law school). I let those that loved and supported me down. I tarnished my professional reputation as a former crime reporter. But most importantly, I had been the main roadblock in my life. I was my own worst enemy.Enterhealth helped educate me about my disease (alcoholism is a disease and no one can convince me otherwise). Enterhealth also educated my love ones about my disease and how to best move forward. Now, writing a review for a treatment center is an interesting task. Treatment only works if the person with the addiction WANTS TO GET SOBER. This may seem harsh but at the end of the day they have the freedom to take the time while they are in treatment to educate themselves and prepare for a better more fulfilling life. The people that I know from treatment WHO HAVE NOT STAYED SOBER thus far either did not take treatment seriously or they simply are not ready to change. There are people who left reviews for the Ranch that I know from my time being there did not want to be sober and still to this day refuse the idea of abstinence regarding their drug of choice. They are still in denial of their affliction and that sucks.I took my thirty days at the ranch seriously. My detox period at the Ranch was brutal. It was also incredibly scary. But not addressing my addiction is far more frightening.I continued to use Enterhealth for Outpatient Treatment upon my discharge from the Ranch. I had plenty of other options but I wanted to use the same folks that helped me obtain the first thirty days of sobriety-- something I could never obtain on my own.Enterhealth has a multi-pronged approach to addiction and if I can get sober, someone that was dry-heaving each morning, so can you or your loved one-- but they HAVE TO WANT IT.Lastly, sobriety is amazing. I still have some minor issues and life is never easy-- but it is far more manageable in sobriety.I'm still in the process of righting past wrongs and making amends with those that I harmed but I wouldn't have gotten this far without Enterhealth.PS: Their alumni association for sober patients is phenomenal and keeps me engaged with the community.

My time at Enterhealth Ranch was a high quality and personally challenging experience. My therapist (Laura) was exceptional as were the other therapists I met with when she was off site. There is no facility that is perfect but I have to say that the staff are more than adequate in their roles and they have the heart and compassion to be there working with each patient to meet their individual needs. The food is excellent and the views on the property are breathtaking. You will get out of this treatment facility what you put in. You need to be prepared to attend the classes and I encourage you to build relationships with other patients who are there with you. Be an advocate for yourself and speak up if you find that you have a need or concern that is not being addressed.I am grateful for my time there and I look forward to attending alumni nights to encourage others on their journey.
