Good experience with Dr. Tiller and the other staffs! But that doctor is kind, caring, and compassionate, as well as the nurse

It's been a week now since my Dad was life flighted to @inovahealth Fairfax in Falls Church because he was literally dying from an internal hemorrhage. The doctor at AGH, which is a rural hospital, had called many other hospitals to see if they had an ICU bed and could take him. All the big ones in Baltimore, like University of Maryland, Johns Hopkins, and Shock Trauma, were all called and had no beds available. It's was by the grace of God that the doctor at AGH called Inova, which is a level 1 trauma center, and he knew the doctors there had an ICU bed and agreed to take his complicated case. He arrived around 1am. They were able to do a CT, find the bleeding, get him stable, and consult with his other GI Dr at UofM to create a surgical plan and get him to surgery by 8am. I am FOREVER grateful to the amazing doctors and nurses at Inova. And especially to his receiving ICU nurse Blake Ferris, who is just amazing. He called us while we were driving to the hospital and, with such a calming voice, let us know he had survived the flight and was stable and That they had done the scan and were working on a plan for surgery. He told us what room he was in on the ICU floor and how to get there. He was his nurse for 2 straight nights and was absolutely wonderful in not only the care he gave my father but also in helping to keep my mother calm. He truly has a heart for his patients, and all the staff had nothing but wonderful things to say about him.I really can't say enough about how great Inova Fairfax is. From the staff to the actual facility itself, which if you didn't know has a Starbucks and Panera Bread inside, is top notch. I hope you never need to go to the hospital but if you do this is where you want to go.

I haven t been here but I was in treatment with the founder, Steve Crow. He was dedicated to helping other s. Steve is no longer with us. RIP, Steve. I know this program he started is dedicated to helping those still in the throes of addiction.
