About Victory Clinical Services

Victory Clinical Services is an outpatient addiction treatment center in Kalamazoo, Michigan. They provide outpatient addiction treatment and medication assisted treatment for people with opioid use disorder. They use a harm reduction model of treatment in conjunction with counseling.

During this outpatient program you can expect individual and group counseling sessions and the use of medications like Methadone, Vivitrol, and buprenorphine. These medications are used to eliminate withdrawal symptoms, reduce drug cravings, and sustain long term recovery. Other components of treatment you can expect to participate in are life skill education, peer recovery support, relapse prevention, and case management.

This facility also offers medically supervised withdrawal, methadone maintenance, and suboxone maintenance. Youā€™ll have the ability to remain a patient and just visit the facility for medication after completing the program. For medical detox, this is performed in an outpatient setting over several weeks. Aftercare planning is a part of detox and counseling is mandatory.

Former clients of Victory Clinical Services say the staff was amazing and helpful. Other former clients say the staff cannot sympathize with addiction because they do not have personal experience.

Medical briefcase icon Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

Heart icon Treatment

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

Drug rehab in Michigan provides personalized treatment to help individuals break this cycle and regain control of their lives. Treatment methods are used in various levels of care, including inpatient rehab, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, and standard outpatient treatment.

check iconDual Diagnosis

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

substance-abuse iconSubstance Abuse

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

A great program with great people i never felt like i was being judged or looked down at all in fact i was surprised by how friendly and kind everyone was and they not only made me feel like they care they proved they do when my partner had a medical issue and the staff handled it compassionately. My counselor is really chill and easy to talk to but also has the depths of knowledge to be able to have really substantive conversations basically a respectable amount of street smarts and book smarts and ability to know when to use which. I leave every appointment feeling really encouraged and hopeful. If anyone is thinking about trying maintenance therapy thia is the place to go you can actually find some hope here

If you're seriously looking to get help with your opioid addiction and need a good support system, please come here! They treat you like an equal here instead of looking down their nose and treating treating you like an addict.Coming here has changed my perspective on addiction treatment in the best way! If everyone was more like the people that work here, I think the world would be in a much better, healthier spot. They actually put you above their paycheck and it's quite rare to see in this world. They are practical and work with you as long as you take the program seriously. The counselors are great here and I actually enjoy group. This place has a lot of resources to help you get your life where you want it to be. I couldn't be more thankful for what they've done for me and my family already.

I been going over 2 years now the longer I am there the more and more they mess with u and ur recovery. Being that 90% of staff never had an addiction I think makes it unfair to us that have cuz they just look at us like $ signs. If u need a medicated way to stop it does help but as far as staff and their rules making sense, they don't. Nor do they have understanding that what they do and say can reflect onto someone in a way that causes them to say f everything and that's where they have me to the point, after being there over 2 years now. Been clean and I'm on a permanent hold because of my own prescription, which they have tried to also go behind peoples back an get them off of meds that THEY don't want u on however they don't realize the combination of things I'm on now is what is working so if it ain't broke??? .... I had more hope for this but now I'm slowly but surely lowering my dose just so I can get the heck out of that so called outpatient program.

I have been clean for a long while now. On phase 5.well I have kindy problems and others. I dropped for alcohol and I don't drink. I got tested for my sugar . That's not the problem. I'm not getting any help to . Figure this out. I dropped for alcohol 2 more times. The nextDay I got admitted to the hospital. I have colitis and I look up auto brewery syndrome . And that's where my problem is. So I have to see my GI doc to talk with him . I'm at the mercy of my doc , to get my take outs back . And I'm blowing every day. This is so shameful for me.

Staff (counselors and front desk) are extremely unprofessional. The amount of patients that have become frustrated with them, had to quit treatment, and ended up dying is astounding.
