Disclaimer: I am using a pen name for purposes of anonymity. Five stars for most of the concierge staff and therapists. One star for clinical director and upper management/operations.I determined that I needed to go someplace where I would be therapeutically healed and I found Tikvah on my own. Tikvah Lake is a place for business professionals, such as myself. Monday through Friday consisted of one and a half hours of one-on-one therapy per day and free time where I was able to work and stay in touch with the outside world. Phones and computers are not taken away from you and you are treated with respect and dignity. Their were multiple amenities. There is a chef (GIOlicious) who prepares finely cooked daily meals. There were expert concierges. Namely, Mary, Leslie, and Victoria, who were absolute delights to deal with. We became like a family. We became friends, and I will cherish the memories with them. The mansion is set on a lake and six clients are only taken at a time. The care is so personable. Leslie and Mary continuously went out of their way for me whether it was running errands or just being my friend. Victoria was fantastic to talk to and provided the support that I needed as a friend. The therapists are well educated and well-versed in what they do - Byron and Jimmy were fantastic and I ve learned strategies here that I ve learned nowhere else. David the therapist was great too but he was let go the day after Milton. How unprofessional is it to terminate someone the day after a natural disaster when the county and surrounding areas were stricken by Milton? Wendy, the behavioral health practitioner was wonderful and a delight to talk to. I did not care for the clinical Director or the staff above her. The clinical director is newer to sobriety and lacks the experience that the other therapists do. In my opinion, the two therapists that I mentioned, should be contenders for her job. Meryn and Clair need to go. It s not appropriate come to work at a rehab stinking like marijuana. It s not appropriate to steal Tikvah s food, cook it and then take it home. Nor is it appropriate to talk down to a client. Now let s talk about hurricane Milton. From an operational standpoint (higher ups) the place was completely unprepared and pathetically disorganized. I happened to be the only guest that at the Tikvah Lake house; two of the other guests from one of the other facilities were brought over the day before the hurricane to take up residence at Tikvah. Additionally, the clinical director (who was injured from an injury, not relating to the hurricane and made it known that she was on pain meds) her mother and daughter took up residence here which was highly inappropriate and unprofessional. Let s get back to the unprepared for the hurricane part. The higher-ups were told by the lead concierge that there were certain needs that needed to be met for the guests - they obviously didn t listen I will say, that once the higher management found out about the no running water and no generator after the hurricane, he whisked us off to West Palm Beach. Ever since the hurricane everything at Tikvah was different. Although I felt completely welcomed by Mary, Leslie and Victoria, as well as Byron and Jimmy, I felt a sense of uncomfortableness because of the way the entire operation was being run. I could go on and on about the goods and the bads. From a therapeutical standpoint, I have never gotten such care as I did from Byron and Jimmy. From a concierge standpoint, Mary, Leslie and Victoria were fantastic. Upper management is completely disorganized. Now let s get to my departure. Today is Wednesday, October 23. Yesterday at noon I was told that I had to leave today. The clinical director did not complete my discharge nor was any after care set up. The fact that I was told I was leaving less than 24 hours before my flight, which I had to schedule last minute, was inappropriate, especially for a person who has been away from home for the amount of time that I have. Like I said I m 50-50.

Being fully transparent, I have gone to rehab twice including with Tikvah. The first time I ever went it was good but there wasn t enough of individualized therapy sessions that I needed for myself. With Tikvah, I ve gained coping skills, and they helped me get to the root of my addiction. The 1on1 therapy sessions helped me immensely and helped me see things with a different perspective. All of the staff (therapists, Zach with onboarding, and staff with the day-to-day stuff) are absolutely amazing. They truly care about you as a person and want to help you get back to a normal life that consists with your morals and healthy lifestyle outside of addiction. 10000% highly recommend.

Accepted Insurance

Tikvah Lake Recovery works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Tikvah Lake Recovery is a Residential Treatment Center for those struggling with Addiction and Co-occuring disorders. The facility believes that personalized treatment works. Each person has unique problems that have to be dealt with individually with their clinical and medical staff.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs are a collection of highly individualized services designed to promote long-term recovery. These services evolve as your needs change. Case managers and recovery teams typically begin formulating the rehab aftercare service plan early in the recovery process to facilitate your reintegration back into the home, workplace, and community.
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
A sober living home in Florida often serves as a transitional residence for individuals coming out of inpatient rehab. This helps those in recovery avoid isolation that can sometimes happen after they return home from treatment. It offers a supportive environment where they can practice skills learned in rehab. Offering a combination of structure and freedom, men's or women's sober living is a good stepping stone to independent life in recovery.
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
24-hour clinical care in Florida is an essential part of treatment, particularly with medical detox. Withdrawal symptoms can be severe, and supervised detox provides around the clock access to medical professionals who can adminsiter proper medications and treatment to address these symptoms and step in should an emergency occur. This intensive clinical care will help curb the withdrawal effects, minimize substance dependence, and prepare you for the next step of treatment.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
The first step of the recovery process involves the removal of all drugs and alcohol from your system while under 24/7 medical supervision. Known as a medically assisted detox, you are closely monitored by medical staff who can provide medications, if necessary, to help alleviate any potential withdrawal symptoms. Medical detox is usually followed by a period of inpatient addiction treatment.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
seniors-program thumbnail image
Seniors Program
Nearly one million adults age 65 and older live with a substance use disorder. Treatment providers who specialize in senior care understand the social, psychological, and physical effects of aging and how they relate to recovery. They can help clients address particular challenges and risks they may face as they get older such as overdosing and medication interactions and dependencies.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

Substance abuse creates biochemical imbalances in your body and brain. By implementing dietary changes, you can restore that balance. This is the goal of nutrition therapy in Florida. You'll gain an understanding of what nutrients your body needs and learn best self care practices.

Creativity is inherently healing, and can help those in recovery express thoughts or feelings they might not otherwise be able to. Creative arts therapy can include music, poetry/writing, painting, sculpting, dance, theater, sandplay, and more. Unlike traditional art, the final product matters far less than the experience of creation and expression itself.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

One benefit of nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) in Florida is variety. NRT comes in multiple forms that you can use in different ways. This allows you to choose the form that works best with your needs and lifestyle. Your options include gum, patches, inhalers, and prescription medication.

Tikvah Lake was, by far, the best experience I could have asked for while in treatment. They provide phenomenal therapy that assisted me in working through the underlying issues of my addiction. Katherine goes above and beyond and unlike most facilities, cares about each individual that walks through the door. It shows. Mary, Lesley and Angel are absolutely phenomenal at making this place feel like a home while here. Additionally, bonus, they have a five star chef that I couldn t boast enough. The other therapists at the facility (Byron is amazing and David too) changed my perception on life and staying sober.I was there for 30 days and if you re looking for a luxury treatment facility that will change your life and get you on the right path, I highly recommend Tikvah Lake.

This facility is disgusting. Not in terms of cleanliness but what they represent and stand for. A non accredited for profit rehab that facilitates 2 hours of functioning groups a day. Basically a resort to dry out on but with their lack of security measures and drug testing the residents are actively getting high at their will. A simple door dash delivery does the trick. If you are looking for a facility to actually gain some resemblance of recovery and sobriety you can spend your money on dozens of better equipped and ran facilities. I had a family member attend this program and if I could have left no stars I would but google wont allow it. I filed complaints with SAMSHA but being they re not accredited they don t have to answer to anyone. Look past the fake good five star reviews and you ll find these people steal money, don t care and are for lack of better terms, disgusting. The fact that it s ran by a Chabad they should be ashamed for their representation to the Jewish community and the recovery community. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

When the admissions coordinator told me Tikvah Lake and their therapeutic model is superior and more advanced than most, I had no idea how true that was! As I write this review, my hope is that people who need real help will understand how valuable this program is for their lives!! From the moment you walk in the door you not only get a nurse called Tallulah, you get her true heart and spirit which is a loving mother and grandmother! I tell her all the time she s my long lost Maymah, the sweetest Southern Grandma I always wanted and never had!!! The Clinical Dr and Lead Therapist is called Katherine, well Miss Katherine to me , this woman goes so far outside of her job duties that she makes you feel like she would do anything at anytime to save you! To help you! To love you when you don t feel loveable! To support you when you re having a mental breakdown and it s 8pm or even later and she answers the phone EVERY TIME on the first ring!!! If you need someone or somewhere to lift you up and take your life in their hands, please give your hand to Tikvah Lake!!!! It will save your life bc it saved mine! Mary and Leslie, the executive concierge staff are the perfect combination of professional and personal, and make me feel like we ve been best friends for years. I m tearing up rn just thinking about the fact that I m about to move my family right next to Miss Katherine so I can continue to learn from her! I could go on forever but I will end with this . If you re broken in any aspect of your life, YALL I m telling you, Tikvah Lake will pick up the pieces and glue them back together and you won t even see them doing it. You ll just feel whole once they re done! With All My Heart and Soul,Tikvah, Miss Katherine, Mary, Leslie - you have changed me FOREVER, thank you!!!

I had the pleasure of touring Tikvah Lake and spending time with several of the staff members. As a professional in the industry, it s extremely valuable to know treatment programs and the staff implementing those programs. After a day and a half learning about Tikvah Lake I m confident in sending clients there. I know they will be taken care of in every aspect from their hospitality team to their clinical team. They go to great lengths to treat each of their guests uniquely and individually in designing a treatment plan and meeting them where they are at. The accommodations are top tier and the attention to detail and care are impressive. Outstanding in what you do Tikvah Lake!

I completed a month-long stay at the Park Manor location. My experience was amazing. Of course I was nervous but upon arrival I was warmly welcomed and given a tour of the facility. Over the course of the next 3.5 weeks I had individual sessions (the sole reason I chose Tikvah/Park Manor) split between three therapists (Katherine/David/Byron). I can't say enough about the care I received. I managed to work through issues, some of which were decades in the making. Each therapist has a unique approach which had me evaluating things through many different lenses. The ladies who manage the house are fantastic and the personal meals prepared daily are an added bonus. Treatment here will not be the least expensive option (they acknowledge this up front, thank you Jill!) but having multiple individual sessions daily is/was worth the added expense to me! I can't say enough about my experience. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Disgraceful and Deceptive: Avoid Tikvah Lake Recovery at All CostsI'm utterly disappointed and appalled by the lack of integrity and professionalism exhibited by Tikvah Lake Recovery. My peers and I sought help for our colleagues addiction issues, but instead of finding support and assistance, we were duped out of $75,000.00Our Colleague didn't even check in to Tikvah and they would not refund us any of our money. We went to visit their center and the patient decided he did not want to attend Tikvah due to the condition of the environment and the surroundings. We decided to seek aid elsewhere as this did not meet our expectation as a luxury rehab center. There is nothing luxury about Tikvah at all. We politely let them know that it was not a good fit and they told us they would check with their financial staff on what to do. i did not even get a phone call, it was a text from a lady saying they would not refund any of the money.Furthermore, attempts to address our grievances with the management were met with indifference and defensiveness. It was abundantly clear that they were more interested in covering their tracks than rectifying the situation and providing the support we desperately needed. In conclusion, I implore anyone considering seeking treatment at Tikvah to look elsewhere. This facility preys on vulnerable individuals seeking help and exploits them for financial gain without delivering on its promises. Save yourself the anguish and disappointment avoid Tikvah at all costs.
