About STR Behavioral Health – Silver Pines

Treatment includes a nutrition program and a variety of therapies such as yoga, wilderness, trauma and holistic therapy. They accept a variety of private insurances, and for alternative payment options, they work with M-Lend Financial. It is similar to taking out a loan for student loans but instead it would be for treatment.

When seeking treatment, medical detox may be most appropriate due to possible complications or impact of addiction and the effects it has on your body. You will be under medical supervision while you are here until you are stabilized and able to continue treatment in residential care. While you are in residency they will help you develop a treatment plan so you can get the best level of care and continue your healing.

Nutritional therapy will help you gain more clarity and knowledge on what foods and healthier lifestyle choices can benefit you. This can help with boosting energy, reducing chronic pain, strengthening your immune system, and helping lower the chances of illness.

Their holistic therapy focuses on your overall well being which includes your mind, body and spirit. Meditation breathwork, sound therapy, aroma therapy, reiki, wellbriety movement meetings and spiritual counseling are some of the therapies they use. What sticks out to me the most is the benefits to these therapies which help with stress management, reduce anxiety and depression, and strengthen your spiritual wellness. This can help you stay motivated with keeping up with self care and assists in helping you build up more resilience.

I attended twice, Great facility, however I’m on my wife’s UHC plan through her employer, not Medicare. No problem with insurance the first time I went, however (going the 2nd time) they are trying to say I’m on Medicare. I called UHC and nothing has changed in my coverage. Trying to charge me 15,000. What’s going on? Also once there ,they) Siver Pines) wanted out of pocket money(cash,Cc card) they never asked for that upfront either time. They even checked recorded call. I’m very dissapointed with billing. Put a “sour taste”on my experience

I'm truly happy and grateful that I got to come to Silver Pines. I had my reservations seeing as I don't suffer from substance use addictions but I chose to come here for my mental health. For the downsides: there's a 14 day blackout on personal electronic use unless you get approved for important things like calls, bills etc, but I needed that time to disconnect. You'll also be woken up in the middle of the night by the behavioral health techs doing their checks , and if you're unlucky you might get a roommate that's messy or snores. The BHTs truly do care about you and want to help you on your recovery journey, they've all been truly stellar to me, especially Will. The therapists are very compassionate and helpful in processing your issues, my thanks go to Alisha my personal therapist, Deidre, Zack and Jesus especially for helping me so much. The kitchen staff is full of hard workers who make great food and they're so kind, especially miss Dre, who cares a lot about your nutrition and if you have any dietary restrictions or eating disorders. Angie the janitorial worker is always working her butt off and I appreciate her so much. The nurses are bubbly and delightful and cared a lot for me, especially both Karens, when I was struggling to settle in. There's meaningful and helpful resources for helping yourself or those who struggle with SUDs, there's great aftercare as well with the alumni coordinator Jenn, and they're always willing to accept feedback and address any concerns you may have. My only complaint is that there's probably only 2-3 LGBTQ+ groups a week, which is a HUGE boon but may make it harder for those who aren't openly out to process their struggles with identity and their SUD/Mental health. Other than that, I'm hoping that if you or someone you love and care about needs help with any sort of addiction, you can come here. There's a truly loving community here who'll support you and share their hearts with you. Thank you Silver Pines for helping me on my recovery journey.

This is the best rehab I attended and has been my last. First time I even felt sad after leaving because I made so many great connections with staff, nursing, and the community. Cooks are extremely skilled and provide the greatest food you will get in rehabs. There is a desert and savory treat made every single night and theres always numerous snacks to pick from. The nursing staff is the greatest staff of all time they should honestly be awarded somehow. Everyone in the staff there is just amazing and they always foster a connected community. Counselors are super chill and knowledgeable about addiction and thoroughly aid you through the process. After the rough detox beds you are moved to the residential side. The Beds and Pillows on this side are super comfortable. They allow you to use your phones quite often and take care of emergencies through your phone typically without a problem. I could honestly go on forever talking about my amazing experience. If you need help please come here you won’t regret it for real.

Accepted Insurance

STR Behavioral Health – Silver Pines works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

12-step icon12-Step

12 step programs prioritize the recovery journey as a life-long process based on personal spiritual growth and ongoing peer support. Regular attendance at 12 step meetings, which are held multiple times each day in most communities, is expected. Participants also receive one-on-one mentoring by a self-selected peer sponsor. The 12 steps are designed to encourage participants' self-compassion, awareness, acceptance, and accountability. Dedicated programs for specialized groups, including seniors, teens, and families, are common.

24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care

Because the severity of withdrawal symptoms can fluctuate, constant monitoring under 24-hour clinical care in Pennsylvania is recommended for early recovery. As you undergo detox, medical staff will supervise your health and ensure severe symptoms do not develop or threaten your life. Professional counselors will also be available to treat mental and emotional health needs.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

A medical detox is the safest way to wean your body off drugs and/or alcohol in an inpatient setting. When detoxing from addictive substances, the physical and psychological side effects of withdrawal can cause mood swings, anxiety, nausea, or flu-like symptoms. In medically assisted detox, a team of medical professionals are on hand 24/7 to help alleviate potential withdrawal symptoms, administer medications to alleviate withdrawal symptoms, and ultimately keep you safe and comfortable throughout this process.

aftercare iconAftercare Support

Clients receiving services from a rehab aftercare program are usually stable and in the maintenance phase of recovery, having completed detox and/or intensive inpatient treatment. Rehab aftercare services can vary widely based on clients' individual and evolving needs, but often include peer coaching, relapse prevention support, 12 step program induction, and medical, mental health, and social service referrals. Individual care plans are typically developed by the client in partnership with their case manager and care team.

Treatments

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Alcoholism is a syndrome of dependent alcohol use. Also called alcohol use disorder (AUD), the symptoms include craving alcohol, not being able to stop drinking, and feeling anxious or irritable when not drinking. For many people, alcohol rehab in Pennsylvania is a beneficial treatment. Programs offer many levels of care, including medical and behavioral therapies.

Drug rehab in Pennsylvania is devoted to the treatment of addiction. Levels of care, treatment methods, and settings differ, but the aim of each program is to end drug dependency and empower participants to achieve long-term recovery.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image

LGBTQ Program

Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.
military-program thumbnail image

Military Program

Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Clinical Services

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in Pennsylvania can be helpful to individuals who are experiencing substance use disorder and various mental health conditions. It helps you identify damaging thought and behavior patterns and replace them with healthy ones.

Dialectical behavior therapy in Pennsylvania is an evidence based technique that involves group therapy, individual therapy, and phone coaching. Group sessions focus on learning behavioral skills. Individual therapy gives you the opportunity to apply what you're learning to your personal situations. Phone coaching allows you to call your therapist during the week for help with challenging situations.

Family therapy teaches individual family members in Pennsylvania the benefits of collectively combating addiction. Therapists help individual members establish healthy boundaries between themselves and their loved one who is struggling with addiction. This helps improve emotional support systems and creates a bond so families work together to sustain long term recovery.

Group therapy sessions in Pennsylvania offer you a safe space when you're struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. You can openly discuss your challenges and the progress you're making in rehabilitation. Sharing this responsibility with others in your group fosters a commitment to sobriety and helps create strong bonds with your peers.

Personalized therapy sessions in Pennsylvania typically include a safe and nonjudgmental setting in which you can express your deepest emotions and feelings and explore the factors that have contributed to addiction. Therapists tailor the sessions to help you develop healthier thought patterns and behaviors, which improve your self control and build a foundation for your long term sobriety.

It is important to process the impact that traumatic experiences have had on your life. During trauma therapy, you and an experienced therapist confront these experiences and the emotional impact it is had. This helps to reduce your symptoms of stress and anxiety and improve your overall mental health and well being.

Couples therapy in Pennsylvania is typically short term treatment that focuses on building skills that lead to positive long term relationship changes. Sessions with the therapist may occur both jointly and individually.

Motivational interviewing in Pennsylvania gives you the opportunity to share your perspective and explore your ideas and motivation for change. Your therapist will walk you through the four steps of engaging, focusing, evoking, and planning to empower you to make any desired changes in your life.

I implore you to find a more intimate and personalized treatment facility! Especially with the additions of Narrative Based Interviewing and Celebrate Recovery to the curriculum, one can expect a much higher sucess percentage upon discharge. Every single staf member at Silver pines legitimately cares about the experience each and every client has with the facility. It certainly shows. I strongly suggest rocking with Eddy in the narrative based interviewing as research is indictating a 100% success rate if practiced every day. This practice is not only changing how we treat substamce use disorder and mental illeness , but also will be instrumental in creating a global shift to bring people back to the power of the moment and realize the endless possibilities with being the most active participant within the unfoldment of their lives. I assure you this will change the world. God is great and Silver pines treatment facility is almost heaven on earth. If you or a family member are struggling. Call them. They care. And it shows . If you're anything like me , you probably dont have much else to lose, so go and fix you. Give yourself another chance .

Brian Sabo, Regional Director of Clinical Partnerships, is truly a gem! Even after working as a social worker for over 25 years, I know how challenging it can be at times to help clients navigate the referral process for rehab. Collaborating with Brian this afternoon was such a seamless experience. He was compassionate, kind, and empathetic while walking me through each step of the referral process. Thank you, Brian, for all of your help! You're amazing at what you do!

I had a great experience at Silver Pines. This was my first time experiencing residential treatment and my only regret was not doing it sooner. The staff was wonderful, I met a lot of great people and it has dramatically improved my life so far since being back home. I was hesitant to commit because it involved leaving home but knowing what I know now it was absolutely the correct decision. They present many different programs and tools to help, encourage you to explore the root causes and show care/compassion throughout. The food was great, days went quickly with a variety of activities and the other folks there made it a pleasant experience and allowed us to learn from each other in addition to the formal sessions. I highly recommend Silver Pines!

If I could give this place a zero I would. They are only concerned with getting the insurance money from employees that work for big companies like Amtrak! They lie and make promises they never intend to keep to get you in there and then once admitted they have absolutely no follow through. My daughter was admitted there a few weeks ago and it was made known to them several times that she needed to be on a special diet. Over and over I asked them if they could accommodate her diet, and over and over they promised that they could! She gets there and her diet was not accommodated and she wound up in the hospital for seven days with a severe bowel obstruction! They have lied about multiple things on several occasions! Don’t send your loved one, not even your dog here!

Response from the owner
Hi Cheryl,
We understand how challenging it can be when a loved one is in treatment, especially when families want more updates. We are committed to protecting every patient’s privacy and must follow strict confidentiality guidelines. Your feedback is important to us. Silver Pines has a robust nutrition program, and we’d welcome the chance to hear more about your experience. Our Executive Director, Brandon Williams, can be reached at 570-203-1433 if you’d like to discuss further.
