outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

inpatient iconInpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

aftercare iconAftercare

Clients engaged in a rehab aftercare program have already completed high-level treatment and have begun to develop essential recovery skills. Rehab aftercare services are designed to support clients' sustained sobriety as they reintegrate into their home, workplace, and community. Case managers, care teams, and clients design the customized service portfolio that will best support the client's long-term sobriety. Clients may receive peer coaching, 12 step program induction, vocational training, and relapse prevention services.

12-step icon12-Step

12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).

sober-living iconSober Living Homes

Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.

heart-hands iconIntervention Services

During a drug intervention in Michigan, family, friends, and colleagues share in their own words how a person's substance abuse has affected their lives. An intervention must be carefully planned, with the goal of encouraging the individual to get treatment for their addiction. Many rehab programs offer intervention services to help families prepare for this confrontation and guide them through the recovery process.

partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program

While many people know it as "day treatment", a partial hospitalization program (PHP) offers treatment during the day and allows you to live at home. PHP treatment typically requires a commitment of at least 20 hours of treatment every week, with a program duration that spans approximately 90 days. While commuting is necessary, some programs offer telehealth options. PHP treatment plans usually include relapse prevention, medication management, and behavioral therapy.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Heart icon Treatment

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

Drug rehab in Michigan provides personalized treatment to help individuals break this cycle and regain control of their lives. Treatment methods are used in various levels of care, including inpatient rehab, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, and standard outpatient treatment.

check iconDual Diagnosis

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

substance-abuse iconSubstance Abuse

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Hand holding medical sign icon Clinical Services

inpatient-file iconCognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

dialectical iconDialectical Behavior Therapy

Addiction often involves intense situations and emotions. Dialectical behavior therapy helps you understand and regulate your emotions and better manage the situations that evoke those feelings. You'll receive mindfulness training and stress management training to cope more effectively with difficult emotions.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

desert iconMotivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

couples-therapy iconCouples Therapy

Both internal and external factors can put stress on a relationship. Couples therapy helps you and your partner work through those stressors and find healthy ways to deal with challenges as they arise.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

life-skills iconLife Skills

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

This place is hand down the worst place you can ever send your loved one too. I wouldn't even send my most hated enemy here. Seriously you'd care more for your family if u just chained them to the bed and fed them 3 times a day n gave them subs than to send them to this place. Even if u can give negative stars, this place is worst than that. This place is a scam. Please for the love of God, DO NOT GO HERE

How is it insurance is paying for ppla rehab but he makes you work to stay there or he threatens to dump u on the street. Sounds like fraud to me I've never been here personally but I know plenty who have and they all asy the same. They get u off other substances just to get u on their cocktail and shame you treat you like your Nothing. And this is the dr/ owner. I've also been told he has inappropriate actions and dose and says things to make ppl feel bad about telling their loved ones that's the love them or shame them for kissing their own significant other. Sounds like a jealous little knat . Just try to find a better place if you or a loved one needs rehab. This place in my option is scaming insurances and dose inappropriate things with recovering addics and gets them on their concoction of addictive things

This place is a legit drug house. Do not seek treatment here or recommend to loved ones struggling with addiction. I'm surprised there hasn't been a legal investigation or news expose on this place. Owners must be well connected. Total HEALTHCARE SCAM. Please approach with caution. They prescribe suboxone to patients who aren't struggling with heroin. BEWARE! PEOPLE LEAVE HERE WORSE.

My son has been in this flop house 24 hours he called and clearly had the phone to another person's ear begging for money for food and buy one of his pills from staff. He was told he could have his meds but he can't there clonipon but he's being threatened and he had to sell his jewelry to get food and illegal meds. If I don't send 40 to this place he's going to be hurt. So anything happens now I am letting you all know and please don't send your loved ones.

QBH is not in the greatest area, but it's exactly where it needs to be. Detroit has one of the highest crime and addiction rates in the country. A lot of them do not have transportation, family or insurance but QBH still takes them in.QBH is not the most luxurious looking place, but treatment isn't supposed to be a luxury. Treatment should be designed to make sure you NEVER want to go back.QBH is not the most comfortable place but, they make sure your detox is as easy as possible. Many other facilities do not offer the same medications QBH does which often times causes clients to leave and use again.QBH is not the most structured facility but, it gives clients the opportunity to feel needed and important. It gives someone who had nothing to live for a sense of purpose by providing opportunities to work and gives them something to look forward too.QBH DOES believe in Medicated Assisted Treatment (suboxone, methadone, vivatrol), but, the client ALWAYS has a choice of whether or not they wish to take it. The client can choose to continue their recovery journey with a MAT program after leaving at one of QBH's outpatient clinic (Detroit, Sterling Heights, Canton) or detox before leaving. This was a huge scare of mine the first time I left treatment. I was lucky enough to find a doctor that continued my MAT program but, they didn t provide me with what I really needed: continued treatment. I was doing great and was graduated from outpatient treatment. QBH allows you to make that decision. There is no timeline on recovery and the people at QBH are living breathing proof that recovery works. Their experience provides a more realistic approach on recovery and staying clean. There is more compassion, and witnessing their success plants a seed of hope that you are worth it.QBH is not the most traditional rehab center, but it is exactly the reason I stayed clean. I have been to every treatment center in the surrounding Wayne county and Macomb county areas and no one could do for me what QBH did. They made me feel important and worth something. They told me I was worth saving and gave me opportunities to show my strengths and pursue my goals.QBH does not put a time limit on your recovery. QBH does not decide if 30, 60 or 90 days is enough to keep you clean. There is no other facility I know of that can take someone who was completely homeless, no family, no money, no friends, no hope, and turn them into a self-sufficient, self-employed homeowner with a savings account. That is EXACTLY what they did for me and my now husband.Because of the opportunities QBH provided, I have now been 5 years clean, been married for 3 years, and have a beautiful daughter and another on the way. I own my own home, became certified as a peer recovery coach and started a handyman and renovation company with my husband: Rytel Renovations, LLC. so we can continue to give back to the community that saved our life.Treatment is what you make of it. It can be the worst experience ever, but nothing can compare to the life of an addict. I focused on the positives QBH provided. I had a place to live, food to eat, no bills to pay, and all my needs were met. I had the opportunity to improve my life and that is exactly what I did.So, before you judge a place, I suggest you change your perception of it first. I can only speak from experience and QBH was the best experience of my life.
