About Ohio Treatment Center
Ohio Treatment Center provides mental health and substance use treatment for adults in Toledo, Ohio. They specialize in outpatient services that treat addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. Here, you can participate in various outpatient services. They also offer medication assisted treatment and sober housing services. You can pay through self pay, private insurance and Medicaid.
Some clients will come here after stepping down from inpatient care. Others will start in the partial hospitalization program at the beginning of their recovery journey. Your providers will create an individualized treatment plan based on your needs and strengths.
If you need medication to support your recovery, they may administer an FDA approved addiction medication called Suboxone. While it’s used in their medical detox program, you can continue on a low dose of it throughout your outpatient treatment. As you get closer to completing your treatment plan, they’ll taper off your meds to make sure you can totally abstain from narcotics.
While you’re in the program, they’ll give you the opportunity to live in sober housing with others who are going through the program with you. I like that this gives you a sense of structure, support, and accountability. If you need additional medication to help you complete your recovery, your providers may switch you to a non narcotic substance, like Vivitrol.
One client says this is by far the most complete treatment program he’s been in and it’s encouraged him to pursue a career in recovery. Another client appreciates how structured the program is and says the team members are trustworthy.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.
Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.
Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.
