This has got to be the most worthless place I have ever seen. I don't know how they can call themselves a rehabilitation service when they can't even deal with an addiction that gets upset. If you are going to have cats on the premises don't tell the people there that they can't pet them. Horrible place if you or a loved one needs help. Please don't go to New Chance Inc in Dodge City Ks. I believe they are only there fir the government money.

Absolutely awful staff asked for visitation days to see a family member in therapy and not only were they beyond rude but they were not informative at all! It blows my mind what these people will put you through to check on a loved one! And when I was finally told what days I could visit they wouldn t tell me anything else I could bring (food, books, puzzles) for them or if I even needed to bring identification! They just said you ll have to talk around to the residence

This was the start of my recovery, and absolutely a great place. I know I wouldn't be here today had it not been for the staff and facility at New Chance.

Accepted Insurance

New Chance Inc works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient programs are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare. This treatment modality, utilizes both group and "one on one" therapy, includes family involvement, if appropriate. The length of treatment is determined by continual assessment of each client. Adolescent treatment counseling is available with parental consent. Day treatment and Continuing Care services also provided.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements. This treatment modality which utilizes an educational approach, emphasizes the disease process. This is the most intensive type of treatment offered by New Chance which requires clients to be residence twenty-four hours daily. The length of treatment is determined by continued assessment of each client.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Clients in a rehab aftercare program typically have completed intensive inpatient treatment but may be receiving outpatient care. Many have concluded outpatient treatment as well and are in the maintenance phase of their recovery. Rehab aftercare services are designed to provide a full continuum of care as clients apply their recovery skills at home, in the workplace, and in the community. Clients typically receive peer coaching, career counseling, and 12 step recovery program induction, among other services.
12-step icon12-Step
12 step programs feature peer coaching and spiritual development to support participants' sustained sobriety. Most programs are non-denominational and religious affiliation isn't required. Participants engage in regular 12 step meetings, which are open to the public, anonymous, and free. Meetings can be accessed night and day in most communities. Self-selected sponsors provide one-on-one mentoring as participants work through the 12 steps, which foster healing, understanding, accountability, and acceptance.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

The length, intensity, setting, and treatment methods vary for each drug rehab in Kansas. Plans of care can be tailored to meet each person's own unique situation and needs. With the right program, individuals can successfully achieve long-term sobriety.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.

They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.

Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

If your therapist applies methods of cognitive behavioral therapy in Kansas, you can expect to gain a better understanding of your thoughts and behaviors and learn how to cope with difficult situations without using substances. This method is a proven technique for treating substance use and mental health disorders.

During dialectical behavior therapy, you'll work with your therapist to learn new skills that allow you to better regulate your emotions. This treatment involves a pre assessment, individual therapy, skills training in groups, and telephone crisis coaching.

When applying motivational interviewing, your therapist will ask open ended questions that encourage you to think differently about your challenges. They will also affirm your strengths and abilities. They will then offer empathy and reflect your thoughts back to you so you can identify any discrepancies in your current behaviors and your future goals.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.
