La Frontera’s Empact Sucide Prevention Center or SPC is located in Maricopa, Arizona. They serve Maricopa and Pinal counties with suicide prevention and providing behavioral health care to children, adults and families. There’s a track for adults with substance abuse and dealing with past traumas.

They offer language assistance for non-English speakers that’s free for all members. They serve everyone regardless of whether you can pay or not. They have a sliding fee scale depending on the size of your family and income.

They operate on the value system of wanting to provide unique solutions to difficult problems and strive to strengthen and build the community and for a stronger Arizona. They’re built on seven core values of Compassion, Excellence in Service, Integrity, Optimal Care, Creativity, Positive Workplace and Fiscal Management.

La Frontera has an adult behavioral health treatment program where clinicians provide counseling, administer medication and help with case management for individuals, couples, families and groups struggling with substance abuse or mental health problems.

They have both a general outpatient (OP) and intensive outpatient program (IOP), depending on your situation. You can be involved in substance disorder groups or ongoing recovery support groups. They also focus on helping with depression and anxiety or those dealing with grief, loss and extreme stress.

There’s an Adult Trauma Program that can either be individual or group therapy based. They use dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).

The Child and Family Program focuses on promoting positive behavior patterns, personal and family relations, and the overall well-being of families through counseling, psychiatry, peer support and behavior management. This can be done in your home, office or within the community.

You can use their 24 hour crisis hotlines if you’re having a crisis or are victims of domestic violence or sexual abuse. Their hotline service is for anyone regardless of where they live. They have a mobile crisis service unit for face to face help within Arizona. They can provide referrals elsewhere if needed, and an option for post crisis help.

This place is the worst and the thing is if you want services they contact law enforcement and then the cops come to your house and take you to a mental hospital where you can be evaluated by one of they're doctors. Wrong place to go to for your meds after they again call 911 on you! Don't go here think twice! They harassed me and they get the cops to harass the community plus I was overdosed on meds that made me sleep all day long! Awful place.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
Inpatient rehab is designed primarily for persons in early recovery and those who are exiting detox programs. It's ideal for clients in crisis or at an elevated risk of relapse. Inpatient treatment centers provide housing and meals, allowing clients to focus on their recovery away from distractions and addiction triggers. Clients engage in intensive psychotherapy, and many inpatient programs feature recovery-focused life skills training and/or complementary therapies like meditation, creative arts therapy, and other holistic treatments.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient programs are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs. The Intensive Outpatient Program gives patients the chance to participate in a structured treatment plan part-time while they transition back to home and work or other responsibilities.
aftercare iconAftercare
12-step icon12-Step
Many addiction recovery centers base their treatment modalities on the 12 step program model, and those in treatment often transition to community-based programs. These programs can also be effective for clients who choose not to enter rehab. Traditionally, 12 step meetings are designed to provide intensive peer support whenever it is needed. In addition to group meetings and peer sponsorship, participants "work the steps" to achieve recovery through a systematic healing of the mind, body, and spirit.
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
If you're struggling with adjusting to daily life after inpatient rehab, a sober living home in Arizona may be a good option. These residences offer an in-between option where you can practice the skills you learned in rehab in a structured, drug-free environment. This transition can help you prepare to face the "real world" after treatment. You'll live with others in recovery and follow house rules such as contributing to chores and paying rent.
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
If a person denies their substance abuse behavior when confronted one-on-one, a drug intervention in Arizona may be necessary. An intervention may be formally planned with intervention services from a professional who can guide loved ones through this process. The intervention involves confronting someone with how their drinking or drug use has affected themselves and everyone around them and encourages them to get treatment.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
The safest way to remove addictive substances from your body is done under the care of licensed medical professionals. Known as medically assisted detox, this level of care is typically in an inpatient setting with a team of medical experts that may include doctors, nurses, and mental health clinicians. Medications like Suboxone, methadone, or Vivitrol may be administered to help alleviate withdrawal symptoms.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.

eye-movement iconEye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing

Family therapy involves sessions where members of the family discuss how addiction has affected them individually and collectively. Therapists can guide families in developing coping strategies that help support their loved one's recovery while also focusing on their own emotional health.

Developing life skills is an important piece of addiction recovery treatment. These skills help you succeed in day to day tasks and live a healthy, independent life. They include communication, critical thinking, problem solving, self control, and resilience.

The active interventions of experiential therapy help you cope with past hurts and difficult memories. They allow you to release negative emotions and change your personal interactions. This type of treatment in Arizona can be helpful for drug addiction, compulsive behaviors, and behavioral disorders.

If you or anyone you care about needs help DO NOT send them here or have them affiliate with this unethical place , they say they came care about people's mental health but the fact is they don't they encourage and pressure cutting out any existing support systems and they are willing to victimize people again and again to keep them to fill beds of associated group homes most of which have links to staff. Please if you need help go elsewhere this place will only make your mental health worse.

Just horrible. Unprofessional. An uncoordinated mess and the staff seems to need serious therapy more than the clients

Inquired about anger management therapy. Said I want to just pay for services, no insurance, and make the best of my time. I was declined services because they wont accept people who pay for themselves. Go here if you want someone else to pay for it, and never get healed. They obviously want to get long terms customers backed by insurance so they can charge outrageous amounts, for extended long term set up, they have no intention of healing anyone here, just taking insurance money. How am I not supposed to get angry about that.

I agree that through the years, the front desk staff has gotten a bit short with people, but man kudos to everyone else, I ve been with EMPACT 11 years I ve seen them evolve, but through each doctor and therapist and case manager and peer support they ve always been good to me and my family, has helped me in so many ways, and I ve seen them help others too. Now they just need Julie back and a few others & they d be set!
