5 years ago today, I entered this place defeated and broken. The staff here loved me and showed me a way out of addiction through their own testimonies. All the staff here genuinely showed me love and acceptance until I could learn to love myself again. This place is amazing! Compared to other detox facilities, it's like staying at a nice hotel that's actually a hospital. I have been through a lot with my alcoholism over the years. I've been to some pretty scary detox places where most of the people have ankle monitors and it feels like jail. No privacy and the food sucks.At any Banner Behavioral Health Hospital you are treated like a patient and not a drunk/addict. I don't know anyone in their right mind that would complain about having their own room, with a bathroom and shower.A patient started having a seizure in the middle of group meeting and he was immediately attended to and taken to the hospital which is right next door. You don't get that kind of top notch treatment at other places.The cafeteria serves delicious food with tons of options. You can eat as much as you want while in the cafeteria. There's one thing though, if you don't attend your regular meetings (which are easy, fun and educational) you don't get to go to the cafeteria. You just get a tray full of food, which is still good but you don't get to choose the meal.ATTEND THE MEETINGS! It's worth it in so many ways.I have so much respect and admiration for all the nurses, staff and even the security guard (top flight security of the world!)Thank you guys for helping to keep me sober!

They gave me clay, I like to sculpt, then i felt like i was entertained. The food was good, orange juice and cranberry juice, my fav. The tempe location let's you smoke, big bonus, the glendale location doesn't. I had the pleasure of going to both locations. Boohoo lucky me haha.
