Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

mental-health iconMental Health

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

inpatient-file iconCognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

dialectical iconDialectical Behavior Therapy

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

medicare iconElectroconvulsive Therapy

ECT is a form of treatment in which controlled electric currents are passed through the brain, sometimes causing short seizures. Treatments are done under general anesthesia. ECT appears to change brain chemistry for the better, and has been shown to provide fast and sometimes dramatic improvements in severe mental health conditions that can exist alongside addiction, including depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis, and suicidality. ECT is also often used by those who prefer it to taking medication.

medical-detox iconExperiential Therapy

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

If I had to choose a place to receive health services again, this center would be at the end of the list. They need to have more sense of urgency, I spent hours in the emergency room without anyone doing something for me or asking me how I felt, truly an experience that I wo ... Read More

This place may have the best doctors, but the staff doesn't make you feel one bit of relevant. Nurse walk right past you, shoo you if you try to flag them down or call for them. Each nurse or medical staff employed here has no regard to your concern. They are cold and very low in compassion. You feel like just a number rather than a human. Personally will be checking out and going to overlake. Avoid this place for minor needs. They wont even put us in a room when clearly we need it, amd many are open . Staff have very inappropriate side chatter. And will not even answer the phone when in middle of gossiping or telling a story to her bestie bff. Like "oh my god, no she didnt, so chugie!!". Very unprofessional, unfriendly, uninformed, unhelpful, no compassion, no interest in helping, just check-in, drug up, mend, discharge, paperwork, repeat . I want ro feel like I matter or at least be acknowledged and not shooed away when in tears asking for help . Oh and by the way, my machine hasn't stopped beeping for at least ten mins. Nonone even cares . Based off other reviews , I'm not alone in my perspective either . B

Was asked by the nurse if I had a headache and a stuffy nose when I went in to assure I don t have a brain infection. He then asked me if I was suicidal. This was followed by a four hour wait in the emergency room without ever being seen. What kind of disrespectful people you hire and why, I don t know and I will not be returning.

I was sent to the emergency room by my doctor with chronic low sodium, but when I arrived, the drs and nurses treated me as if I was stupid for coming in. Felt exactly like a case of being female and needing healthcare. One of the drs suggested that I get a sleep study for sleep apnea. Which had nothing to do with why I was actually there, but her mother had sleep apnea so I could have it, too. I felt like she wanted to pat me on the head. I received no treatment whatsoever. Low sodium can damage organs and the brain. It's probably caused by a medication that I am taking, but no action was taken.

The WORST SERVICE EVERRRR I ve been in the ER for 7 hours and had excruciating pain with a broken jaw and they tried to offer me Ibuprofen and Tylenol when I told them that I already took it at home and the nurse is smart remark was as well it s not the same so you send it companies are selling fake Tylenol or y all got a different kind of Tylenol when I asked the milligrams she stated the same exact ones that I have at home. And I will never be here ever again! Save yourself time and money and just go to Swedish

Would not recommend. I had surgery there on 7 26 for a broken radius and have a metal plate inserted. I have almost complete hand, finger and wrist/elbow paralysis and this 'concerned' the PA of the orthopedic surgeon who performed the surgery. My skin on my arm is so raw and debraded from an improperly fitted cast, I can barely stand to wash the area. I am still trying to get PT with a hand therapist but honestly I am wondering if I will ever have mobility in my fingers and wrist. This place cannot compare to NYU or any Chicago or CA hospital and the level of care is far less than it should be. Also I was given an INJECTION rater than an IV of anesthesia in my arm the morning of the surgery with ZERO warning! Go elsewhere for surgery as the bureaucracy of this facility is horrible!

Hannah and Michael L in the Angio Suites were very kind and professional. They explained in detail everything that was happening and were always checking in on me to make sure I was comfortable. Excellent job!

Called and I asked about parking areas as my man has a vehicle and needs to be seen. It's told they can't even validate his ticket and that everyone has to pay. I'll take my man somewhere else. What hospital has a patient and can't even validate the patients parking ticket. I don't recommend this place to anyone.

My family was traveling to Seattle for vacation and my grandma had fell and broke her hip. Her care that she received on the 7th floor of the east building was amazing. I believe her nurses were Jessica and Meghan, thank you so much to both of them for making my grandma feel love when I couldn t be there.

I had a horrible head injury. I don't know what I'm doing alive. God for sure is the main reason. The emergency room is the next. I can't believe all the tests they ran on me. I found out that I have other health concerns that can be fixed if done in time. If not I would have been dead in about 1 year. I have a family that I HAVE to ALWAYS make it home.

They have some good nurses and doctors, but, if your procedure can be done in a center that specializes in day surgery, I would recommend doing that instead. There is too much interference here because they also do big procedures requiring hospital stays and they don't have this well separated from the day surgery.

Finally get a bed in the ER after hours of waiting only to have to wait 8 more hours to be treated. Nurses and doctors too busy playing on their phones and gossiping to get any meaningful work done. Leftover medical supplies everywhere in the hallways. This isn t even a busy night. More hospital staff than patients here.
