About Gateway Foundation

Positive surroundings devoted to addiction treatment can be found at Gateway Foundation in Caseyville, Illinois. They offer residential, inpatient and outpatient services in a serene setting away from the bustle of the city. Treatment options are contingent upon the specific needs of each patient and include behavioral therapy, medical detox, medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and support groups.

They offer an array of therapies specifically designed to help you manage your addiction. Their residential and outpatient programs teach vital skills for overcoming obstacles and creating a thorough relapse prevention plan if you are having trouble overcoming marijuana cravings.

They create individualized plans that center on your journey to recovery. Their skilled medical professionals provide you with the resources you need for a full recovery from addiction to psychostimulant drugs like amphetamines. Methamphetamine treatment is also tailored to the patient, taking into account individual experiences and symptoms to guarantee efficient care.

They provide a range of evidence-based therapies such as a withdrawal management program and support groups for individuals struggling with heroin or opioid addiction. With choices for residential, outpatient and aftercare programs, each treatment plan is customized to match your unique needs.

The same kind of compassionate care is used to treat alcohol addiction. While patient support groups cultivate positive relationships that can support your recovery, behavioral therapy seeks to change your perspective and improve your coping mechanisms. Through a safe and effective medical detoxification process they help you get ready for your upcoming rehab journey.

To facilitate withdrawal symptoms and support the prevention of substance use, MAT is another option. Skilled clinicians including licensed professionals and certified alcohol and drug counselors make up their accredited clinical team. They ensure that patient care is given due consideration through consistent communication and meetings.

They utilize practices such as motivational interviewing (MI), mindfulness based sobriety, Seeking Safety and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). They offer comprehensive treatment options based on your unique circumstances whether on an outpatient or inpatient basis ranging from age and gender specific groups to individual and group therapy.

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements. Gateway offers inpatient drug rehab and alcohol treatment programs that provide each and every person with the knowledge, therapy, counseling and tools needed to live a life free of drugs and alcohol. Gateway's inpatient alcohol and drug rehab program is designed to help a person through some of the more difficult moments as their mind and body go through many different changes. With 24/7 availability of Gateway's staff, our inpatient drug rehab programs provide the safety and stability a person needs to maintain their sobriety.

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program

As a flexible option, a partial hospitalization program (PHP) is tailored for those who don't require 24-hour care. PHP treatment can include daily therapeutic sessions and services such as relapse prevention and medication management. Based on your needs, PHP treatment duration can average 90 days and require a minimum of 20 hours of commitment weekly. While a partial hospitalization program typically requires a commute, telehealth may be available. PHP treatment costs can vary but are often covered by most insurance.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

12-step icon12-Step

12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex & Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA). Individuals in Gateway's drug rehab programs are encouraged to attend twelve-step meetings while in treatment, and given referrals to meetings and resources as part of the discharge process.

Heart icon Treatment

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

Drug rehab in Illinois is designed to help people recover from addiction to a number of substances. The length of each program and its intensity tend to vary, and the plan of care is based on your individual needs.

check iconDual Diagnosis

Dual Diagnosis simply refers to two or more disorders or illnesses occurring in the same person. Among those with substance abuse problems, the most common co-occurring mental health problems include depression, anxiety and trauma-related issues. Gateway is a recognized leader among behavioral health care providers in offering substance abuse treatment, as well as treatment for individuals that are diagnosed with a co-occurring disorder. Gateway treats dual diagnosis through comprehensive drug rehab programs that use proven, or "evidence-based" approaches and best practices.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

substance-abuse iconSubstance Abuse

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation. Gateway recognizes the immediate and long-term benefits to individuals in recovery when their families are involved in drug rehab, and engages families in counseling and substance abuse education programs. Their Family Programs are designed to answer the questions families have and to help parents, spouses, siblings and significant others learn how to better cope with the substance abuse issues of loved ones in treatment.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

desert iconMotivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing has strong scientific support for being a highly effective therapy for those with a substance abuse problem. Instead of trying to convince an individual of the benefits of stopping substance abuse, Gateway Alcohol & Drug Treatment's professional counselors help each person weigh the pros of this behavior against the cons while in drug rehab. Counselors assist individuals in exploring their core values and deeply held goals. These values and goals are usually inconsistent with continued substance abuse, so they become the guiding force toward behaving in a way that is consistent with positive, healthy living.

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

If you or someone you care about has experienced or witnessed a life-threatening event and is abusing alcohol or drugs to ease painful memories, trauma may be the primary driver of substance abuse. Rather than avoiding the issue, Gateway Treatment Centers can help individuals work through traumatic events and instill in them a sense of resilience with our personalized approach. Through integrated treatment, trauma victims may simultaneously addresses addiction and mental health concerns with trauma-specific treatment approaches to meet individual needs.

The staffs care about you but be prepared to have your roommate/other recovering people to try to bring you down. Stay focused and you can make it through the treatment.

Find another place to go if you re looking for help. These people are not understanding, experienced, or trained professionals. There all recovery addicts themselves with not much clean time and not experienced (school ), and vindictive. There s a lot of favoritism that goes on between clients and a staff member. There s better places out there that actually care that will help you get establishedBefore you leave. This place will toss you out on the street if they re not making money. It s a nice place but would you rather live till your 80th birthday and sacrifice 90 days of your life or months in and out of a facility that just wants to bleed you or your families bank account dry.

Recovery is real. It's in a way of approaching my day that I had lost somewhere between drinking in fun and drinking to not be sick. I believe that anyone can do it with the right tools and continuous training. The thoughtful and caring staff at Gateway taught me how, and now I live it everyday. It's amazing.
