outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

aftercare iconAftercare

Clients participating in a rehab aftercare program receive comprehensive and customized support as they leave high-intensity treatment, reintegrate into their community, and focus on maintaining their sobriety. These programs offer a wide variety of services to align with the client's unique and evolving needs, often including medical, mental health, and social service program referrals. Clients typically develop their drug rehab aftercare plan in conjunction with their case manager and care team.

12-step icon12-Step

Once involved in a 12 step recovery program, clients can commit to a model of life-long recovery rooted in spiritual growth and intensive peer support. 12 step meetings are anonymous, peer-led, free, and accessible day and night, year-round, in most communities. Self-selected sponsors provide one-on-one coaching as participants work through the steps of recovery. These steps are based on spiritual principles used to address the origins of the addiction and to encourage self-compassion, forgiveness, acceptance, and accountability.

heart-hands iconIntervention Services

A drug intervention in Virginia requires careful planning and execution. Due to complex family dynamics, intervention services are often necessary to help families successfully navigate the process. An intervention specialist can help family members plan what they will say and then facilitate the conversation. This expert also educates everyone involved about addiction, enabling behaviors, and treatment options.

Heart icon Treatment

alcohol iconAlcoholism

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

drugs iconDrug Addiction

When you enroll in drug rehab in Virginia, a treatment plan is designed by professional staff in order to help you overcome drug addiction and modify addictive behaviors. This may include evidence-based treatments, group and individual therapy, and relapse prevention.

check iconDual Diagnosis

Every individual who enters treatment receives an evaluation for both substance abuse and a co-occurring mental illness. Individuals who have both conditions, receive specialized goals that deal with and focus on putting both diagnosis into a recovery mode during treatment.

mental-health iconMental Health and Substance Abuse

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

couples-therapy iconCouples Therapy

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

eye-movement iconEye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a structured therapeutic technique that reduces emotional stress and fosters cognitive restructuring so your negative beliefs associated with the trauma become positive ones. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation to desensitize the emotional intensity of traumatic memories and reduce your experience with post traumatic stress disorder.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

This place is great! I had lost my way in life and had no idea how to come back to it. Frontier made me realize how lost I was and how dumb I was. I'm so thankful for everything that they did, and I would recommend this place if you're willing to make a change in your life.

At the age of 17 my son started to struggle with an addiction because some new friends he made after we moved to a new zone of the city. He didn't want to spent time with us and he escaped from the house a lot of times. In no time we could feel he wasn't happy so we made him ... Read More

My therapist, Meredith made up lies about me to get me removed from the program. Claiming I used "racial slurs" against her, which barely makes any sense considering we're both white. I hope they close this place, and that the doctors here pay for all the damage they've done.

I really wanted to give them a chance, considering the bad reviews, but I drove thirty minutes for an appointment at 10:30 am. I sat there until 12pm just for them to tell me they forgot about me. If you can go somewhere else, I would definitely.

Not good for people who need significant mental health support. I don't know if they are jaded, too busy, or don't have the resources to provide proper care - but I would not go back.

I went to this place did all the paperwork for when my first appointment the person I was seeing left and apparently didn't have me down on the books. Got a call to set up with pier to talk to and was told I would get a call to get in with someone else nothing. It doesn't feel like they really cared about anything. So I wouldn't recommend if you need help go somewhere else.

I have mixed feelings about this place. I unfortunately have bipolar, agoraphobia with psychosis. Knowing that one of my medications needed is a narcotic I should have been told upfront that for me to get the best care I would need to reach out to a center that could prescribe my medications. I understand that they have a no tolerance policy because they also help with addiction. After trying a yr without the proper medication I hit bottom. The Dr said again no tolerance but also refused to help me by letting me know of a Dr that could in-fact help me. It would honestly help if the Dr would look at each patient as an individual that has their own individual needs. Stop looking at everyone as a statistic and realize there are patients with mental health issues that sometimes do in fact need a script that is a narcotic just to function in everyday life. You have a no tolerance policy but not being willing to help others in the community in the long run does more damage than good. You want to help battle addiction, give patients the meds they need and educate them.

I ve searched for a good therapist and psychiatrist team for a long time and I ve absolutely found it here! They seem to really care and are very genuine and patient. They are not there to push medication and get you out the door, they take the time to understand your symptoms and background to find ways that will help the most. I d recommend them to everyone.
