I have been trying to get in with this clinic since April. They had me fill out intake forms and told me they d match me with a specialist. I never heard back from them. I tried again last month in August. Same thing, fill out all the intake forms online, called the intake coordinator and she again said she would match me with a specialist and I would get a call back to schedule an appointment. I called several times to see what the hold up was. The receptionist told me that they were held up by verifying my insurance. They do indeed take Cigna. I called a few more times to see if they had figured everything out. The receptionist again said that she couldn t connect with anyone to verify my insurance. The phone number is IN BACK of the insurance card! I called my insurance for providers myself and got connected to an insurance agent immediately. I called the clinic once again and gave her the number I called to reach someone who could verify my insurance. She took down the number and kept saying she would call me back the next day. I am still waiting for a call back and it s September. I will obviously not be a patient of theirs which upsets me because my daughter is a patient there with MY insurance and she enjoyed her in-person therapist. The front desk or insurance verification person just dropped the ball twice on me.

Candyce, My apologies for your experience. My understanding is our Intake Coordinator had reached out a few times for some information regarding the next step in the process with no success. I do believe you were in contact with Vivienne this morning so that we can finish the process and get your intake scheduled. If you have any additional concerns, please feel free to reach out to me and I'll be happy to assist you. Xris Martinez, Director of Operations, extension 127

I m new to both The Evolution Group and in-person therapy in general, but so far the experience has been lovely. The space is like a protective compound of renovated homes with a central peaceful garden and multiple therapy spaces. It feels safe, comfortable, and thoughtful. The staff have made the process simple like checking into a spa. My therapist, Crystal, is patient, warm, personable, and genuinely listens. I ve only had 2 sessions, but all of the worry and anxiety of being in a new environment and situation melted away during the first session. We haven t started the work of therapy just yet, but I m optimistic about the journey given the amazing start.Update: Seven months later and I'm still very much impressed. Crystal is a wonderful therapist and a beautiful soul. I'll be honest, the first 4 months felt like a rinse and spin cycle. That's just my experience of the process, but the team there made it easy to be a patient. Something strange... that place feels familiar and safe, like going home (in a good way). I continue to refer coworkers here.

Accepted Insurance

The Evolution Group works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Each drug rehab in New Mexico offers unique amenities and treatment methods. Common aspects of treatment include group and individual counseling, recreational therapy, medication management, and healthy living. Aftercare is often provided to prevent relapse.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Individual therapy offers men and women a customized approach to explore the root causes of their substance use and develop healthy coping mechanisms. This improves the effectiveness of treatment and helps to foster long term sobriety. Sessions usually involve an in depth exploration of your life experiences, including harmful behaviors and thoughts that drive addictive behavior.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

If you attend couples therapy in New Mexico, you can expect to work with the therapist and each other to identify emotions, explore your history, and learn new skills to help you better meet relationship challenges. These skills may include problem solving, conflict resolution, and anger management.

Therapists in New Mexico focus on creating a supportive network in family therapy sessions. This helps to support their loved one's recovery journey. By identifying dysfunctional patterns, your therapist can help you develop healthier ways of interacting with each other that significantly improve the overall treatment outcome.

Small place, bad attention, is very dirty and does not have an organization. It seems that they only set up a rehabilitation center to earn money.

Update: I do not know who y'all called but I do not have any missed calls or voicemails from Evolution Group Previous review: I thought this was going to be the place to go for therapy.. they really seem like they have their stuff together. But it's actually no different than any other place in this town - offer the bare minimum and hope/pray it's enough.

Hello Savanaugh. Thank you for your review and letting us know your experience. That is not the experience we want you to have nor does that describe the experience from our other clients. Our intake coordinator has been trying to reach you with no success. Please reach out to her at 505-242-6999, ext 129 and she would be happy to help you

Hello Evolution Group, i hate to leave bad reviews but you have to know that one of your therapist or psychologists that you have in your business has caused me a lot of trauma in my life. I will not say their name but I find it ironic that someone who is meant to help people overcome trauma or whatever they are dealing with is also someone that has caused me trauma and having to see my own therapist. The psychologist that you guys have is mentally ill and should not even be working for you or be around kids in the first place. I will not say names but will tell you that she is a Mexican/Hispanic woman. I am not joking with you in any form, the woman psychologist you have is a total nutcase and should have her counselling license revoked. Don't say i didn't warn you. I would think there would be a bigger area in terms of background checking people like this especially if they are getting into a field like this.

Hi Brianna. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I would like to discuss this more with you as that is not the standard of our practice and this is the first I'm hearing of this. If you can give me a call, I'd appreciate it. 505-242-6988 ext 127 Xris
