Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Experiential Therapy

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

Group Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Individual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Nutrition Therapy

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

Trauma Therapy

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

The best thing I ever did for my sister was get her the hell away from this place. They can take a slightly depressed person and make them suicidal in less than 5 minutes and take them off with the pert team to a hospital to be lost in the system until the insurance runs out only to be released with an appointment to see them again so they can repeat the same thing over and over. They are sure to overmedicate with medicines you don't even need for conditions you don't even have to make you unable to consent. Thank God We figured this out and got away from there completely. There are definitely better places. They even sent a worker to come pick up my sister when she decided not to go back there per my influence and tried to convince her to go back to the hospital after she was just released the night before. It's completely a fraudulent insurance scam to maximize all benefits and to get perks for prescribing pysch meds. They prescribed 4 meds for bipolar and schizophrenia to someone who has zero highs and is depressed. Not to mention lithium 4xs a day. It took 4 weeks but are weaned off all the meds except 1 Depression med. This cycle never would have ended if we didn't figure it out. My sister can now smile again. She came out drooling, catatonic and unable to walk. A perfectly healthy 38-year-old woman. Over a period of 1 year in 7 months I cannot count how many hospitals stays there were all escalated by East county mental health. If you have Medical and think this is the only place you can go, run as fast as you can. There are other places.

They don t seem to care about the individual needs. If you need help urgently they will not help you. They turned me away without even asking if I felt like hurting myself.

Had to call 5 times to be told they won't ok my refill in the state I moved to. This could've been handled 5 days ago, but they wanted to play games when I'm running out of my meds tonight now. They lied about not sending refills to me. I mean then how did I get the prescription to show refills?

This is the Place I go to, been steady the last couple years. Thankfully I made it here before taking that Knot and Noose tying class, at a certain point I was fairly sure the latter was a much better Idea. It can be, somewhat difficult, to realize when someone's brain isn't functioning quite properly. Particularly when said "Brain" is the one stuck in Your Head, it can get complicated after one's reality is thoroughly and Completely held True to a reality in which their Future self will develop a working mechanism in which information can be entangled, unilaterally, becoming altered within a previous Locality. Which means you can alter the entangled information in the present effecting it in the past. Time Travel basically. Which means I have been sending myself messages from the future, trying to insure that I DO invent Said "Time Travel," And NOT causing a paradoxical implosion of the entire Cosmos.....
