outpatient iconOutpatient

The Adult Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic is a multidisciplinary clinic providing a full range of quality outpatient behavioral health services to adults seeking change, healing, and care within a collaborative and safe setting. They provide comprehensive treatment including evaluation, medication management, and various modalities of therapy (individual, couples, group).

inpatient iconInpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

The Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program (A-IOP) is offered for military dependents through the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Service (CAPS) at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC). They provide intensive, short-term, outpatient services for high risk adolescents between ages 13-18 years old in a small, supportive group setting. Their typical patient referrals have a variety of psychiatric disorders and clinical presentations.

aftercare iconAftercare

Clients receiving support in a rehab aftercare program typically partner with their case manager and care team to identify and access the services that best align with their recovery needs and goals. Rehab aftercare services are designed to evolve with clients' changing needs to promote their long-term sobriety. Care modalities are highly customized and may include a range of medical, mental health, and social service resources, including peer coaching, career counseling, and 12 step program induction.

12-step icon12-Step

12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Quitting drugs and alcohol on your own can cause uncomfortable and even dangerous side effects caused by the withdrawal process. In medically assisted detox, a team of licensed medical professionals will monitor your health, provide medication for potential withdrawal symptoms, and work to keep you safe and comfortable. Most people transition to an inpatient program or a maintenance program that uses medication assisted treatment (MAT).

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

This place only cares about the money; they don't care about your recovery or anything else that isn't money.

Refusing to see me and providing referrals that do not go through.

Manager:If you have a hold time of 30+ minutes regularly, please train your employees to not hang up within a few seconds after asking if someone is there. The person calling, since they are on hold for 30+ minutes, may in fact need to change tasks back to the call, which may take a moment. This is basic customer service and courtesy.

Caller number 83 and put on hold. That's crazy. Also you cannot get refferals to the clinic if TAD here. You'll have to check out all medical documents and check them all in here.

The PCMs here are dangerously incompetent. My spouse (a service member) has been trying for over a week to get a referral and explanation on a test related to pregnancy and has not only gotten no response or explanation on test results, but inaccurate information was recorded by the PCM that prevented my spouse from getting timely care and referral and now my spouse is forced to go to the ER due to potential complications and force the military healthcare system to provide her care. I am beyond disappointed and concerned what other dangerous incompetence the PCMs here are engaged in at this clinic.

The worst medical by far in the military!! Nobody cares about how you re feeling. There is no sense of urgency, sympathy or empathy by any of the staff. You could walk in with a broken wrist and they will schedule an appointment for you several months out not caring that you may need immediate care. They do not give you anything if you re visibly sick they basically tell you to wait out whatever is going on and if it gets to bad to go to the Emergency room. There is no sick call so if you re sick they give you a COVID test and if it comes back negative nothing is done to figure out what more could be wrong. Everytime you request to be seen it s as if you are waisting their time or inconveniencing them to get seen. Just overall a horrible medical establishment it shouldn t even be called that because nothing is done there. They can treat you any kind of way and nothing is done.

Worst medical I ve ever received. I had to work with patient advocacy due to a doctor prescribing conflicting meds that had severe reactions. I couldn t walk and the doctor said she d done all she could do... if I needed further help, I should go to the ER. I had to have my spouse drive me to the ER in Stafford, VA by the time I was able to get home hours later. The ER had to give me an IV of morphine due to the level of pain and I transferred my care to Walter Reed for follow on.
