About BioMed Behavioral Healthcare

BioMed Behavioral Healthcare’s Roseville location is a private substance abuse clinic. They provide adult clients with outpatient and medication assisted treatment (MAT) services. BioMed provides specialized care for clients with opioid addiction. They are located in Roseville, Michigan.

Outpatient settings are a convenient way to receive treatment for drug and alcohol addiction. Clients make regular appointments to visit the facility without having to make an inpatient stay. Services offered include individual counseling, group sessions, care management, physical assessments, and acupuncture.

MAT is the combination of specific medications and traditional counseling to treat opioid use disorder. BioMed provides same day dosing following admission into the program.

Co-occurring disorders are any mental health diagnosis, such as depression or anxiety, that exist alongside substance abuse. Co-occurring disorders carry a higher risk of relapse, but specialized treatment reduces this risk.

BioMed doesn’t list its accepted insurance plans, but many treatment programs work with private insurance, such as Magellan, ComPsych, Aetna, Anthem, and BlueCross BlueShield. Clients should confirm their coverage, as out of network benefits may vary.

My name is Vernon and I been a patient at Biomed since 2010. Biomed is one of the best clinics in the Metro Detroit area. They welcome everyone and will not judge you at your current status in life. The staff is very polite and courteous, and biomed offers a safe enviorment during your recovery. Biomed offers various didatics, group therapy, and counseling. I've been clean for 14 years now. Unfortunately there are patients who don't want to work the program. They'll get disgruntled, and blame others for there actions. About the negative reviews. Some patients complain about the line, nurses, or get upset because they missed there appointment and now have to see there counselor. Every 60 days you have to see the doctor for a review, and once a year an annual review is due. I've always had a plesant experience at Biomed. Its not that hard guys. You only have to see your counselor once a month, either in-person or through a phone session. Groups and didactics can be done either in-person or through a zoom meeting. I've never been late for work, or have lost a job because of biomed. I always go early enough so I wont be late, or I ask or get a job that is afternoon or night shift. Biomed is only open now from 5 am to 11 am. If the hours don't suit you there are other clinics in the area. Biomed offers takehomes to patients who follow the rules. If your interested in becoming a patient, please call and set up an intake. The process only takes around 1 to 2 hours to complete. After you finish the intake process you get your first dose that day. Also the line is very short now, including the morning when it opens. I went there this morning at 5 am and there were only 7 patients outside in line. When it opened, I was in and out within 5 minutes.

Accepted Insurance

BioMed Behavioral Healthcare works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Clients receiving care at an outpatient rehab remain in their own homes and attend treatment as often as daily, depending on the level of need. Outpatient care generally consists of psychotherapy, addiction education, life skills training, and community reintegration support. Many outpatient treatment centers provide step-down care, including partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), sober living, and standard outpatient services. Some outpatient rehabs also offer ambulatory medical detox and medication assisted treatment (MAT).
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
During a medically supervised detox, addictive substances are removed from your body while under the 24/7 supervision of medical professionals in an inpatient environment. This is the safest way to wean your body off of addictive substances, since quitting alcohol or certain drugs (like opioids or benzodiazepines) can be dangerous if done on your own. The program typically lasts around 5-7 days, but is highly individualized depending on your needs.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Group therapy sessions in Michigan allow you to share responsibility with your peers in a group setting. This fosters a collective commitment to achieve sobriety and learn coping skills that are essential to improving your relationships and reducing your stress levels.

Accreditations

The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) is a non-profit organization that specifically accredits rehab organizations. Founded in 1966, CARF's, mission is to help service providers like rehab facilities maintain high standards of care.

The details are a waste of time because nothing will be done about it. Just going this far is a waste of time. They don't care about us as patients but instead as a number that most of the patients are on some form of state insurance so the more numbers the better. Who cares about most of us that are actually contributing members of society we are all just sheep and as long as they can keep collecting the fees that they receive from the state insurance that's what matters. It's not all of the employees fault either, management and ownership are definitely not in it to help. The owner see's $$$$$ and if we the patients get screwed who cares because we are all just a number. It's quite sad, when you want to try and be productive, but this place piles on so much unnecessary stress and anxiety to most of us who have anxiety issues. It's so hard to hold a normal job because the clinic is always in the way, who cares if you have a job, or if you work far away, or on a different shift. Sleep who sleeps when you can't do anything until you get your medicine. If something happens like it always seems to happen at Bio-Med, like power outages, computer systems go down and the list goes on. All that matters to us because alot of patients have privileges that allow them to only come in limited days in a month. Well throw in one of many problems they always have now your routine is completely screwed up and it doesn't just affect you. I just can't stand this place and unfortunately I am not going anywhere else anytime soon.

Place has the best people. Staff is great and always has been. The policy's or something lately is outta control and wait 45min to and hour a day in line. Its getting worse and id suggest going somewhere else. Im considering it more and more each day unfortunately. Now i wait hours! With an s and is becoming a main source if my anxiety lately. Idk what the dosing issue is but its enough to get me thinkn of leaving. Take that as u will.

When I started here years ago I ve been off and on methadone for the past five years and the hours used to be 2pm they then changed them to 1pm and now changed them again to 11am and they can t seem to get anything done for you by the time they close because it s not open long enough to get everything done & whenever there is an issue they automatically think your lying & not to mention if you do get upset for the way THEY treat you & you do re act in any way they will withhold your medication and or take homes so for new patients id definitely go some place else

They shorten their hours staying open only until 11am. Used to be 1pm. The line EVERYDAY is to the door. We have to make the decision whether to be late to work/get fired or just don t dose that day. It s absolutely ridiculous. We should not have to come 90 min beforehand because of their problem. New patients, find another clinic- don t come here.
