Medical briefcase icon Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient rehabs ensure that clients continue to receive robust and consistent therapeutic care without requiring them to reside at the treatment center. The frequency and intensity of treatment depend on clients' evolving needs, ranging from daily to weekly addiction counseling and recovery education. Outpatient programs often include peer coaching, life skills training, and individual, group, and family counseling. Outpatient levels of care include partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), sober living/halfway housing, and standard outpatient care.

inpatient iconInpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

check iconDual Diagnosis

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

mental-health iconMental Health

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

inpatient-file iconCognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

The goal of trauma therapy is to address the lingering mental, emotional, and physical lingering effects of a traumatic event. Your therapist helps you process this trauma and build resilience to face future challenges.

couples-therapy iconCouples Therapy

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

My experience as a hospitalized patient in this place was terrible, waiting times are eternal, I felt that no one cared about me, nobody from the staff asked me if I felt good or not. I would not recommend anyone to come to this place.

While dropping my husband off at work, I noticed that the parking lot at BHMRI was getting full. At 6:30 am. people were pulling into the parking lot and it was filling up pretty quickly. These were not patients and there was a sign, "Patient Parking". I come here when my elderly mom (81) has an appt. and now I know why the lot is full. I saw 5 cars within a 4 minute span of time, pull in to park. All employees of BH. This is a shame. I've had to drop my mom off who has dementia and pray she will be okay while I go find a parking space that's across the road. Be Better Do Better

My friend is in active labor. I took her there and they turned her away. That Dr. Was very rude and condescending. I will NEVER go there again. #code of ethics. I don't expect any response from p.r. but if anything happens due to y'all's lack of caring there will b consequences. Js

Staff, secretaries, nurses, doctors friendly and informative. This morning, I was having depression, anxiety, fear regarding my husband's condition and wanted to stop by bathroom before going to visit. Housekeeper cart had bathroom door open, so I waited. Then decided I REALLY NEEDED TO GO!! so I walk in door, Housekeeper jumped my butt... saying, " You saw that cart out there, the bathroom is closed!" You just came on in knowing I was trying to clean, now get outta here so I ca clean!" So I left and then couldn't stop the tears

A family member has many health issues and needs acute nursing care. However, due to insurance not being willing to pay more, he was discharged. No instructions were given, no lists of medications, nothing. Later we received 2 generic lists of what to except. He was handed over to a nursing home, which is not able to handle the level of care he needs. Most of the nurses were helpful, but their hands are tied. This hospital is not about patient care, they are about being paid. Very sad. I thought there was an oath that the physicians were to keep. I guess that has changed as well.

Sitting in the ER waiting room for over five hours with a family memeber waiting to be seen- meanwhile there is a middle-aged lady rocking and writhing in pain, retching, crying out for help and watching this lady NOT be helped- not even given a warm blanket when asked for one- is disturbing me and many others around me. Workers are either so overloaded or so burned out that they simply have no compassion left for this poor woman.

The night shift nurse on call in CCU at Baptist Health in Little Rock was talking freely about my love one's condition. Saying that my mom and my aunt should had already pulled the breathing tube and to make matters worse she said these this front of them. After all this happened, this me wonder if you have this nurse has good intentions in their heart and treating their patients' with the quality of care that the patient and the families deserve. So, the nurse apologized to my mom and aunt, however, this apology was not sincere and we know fake tears when we see them. It makes me concerns me because the way she was speaking, she was freely like this nurse has been talking about my family member since they been here.
