Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient rehabs ensure that clients continue to receive robust and consistent therapeutic care without requiring them to reside at the treatment center. The frequency and intensity of treatment depend on clients' evolving needs, ranging from daily to weekly addiction counseling and recovery education. Outpatient programs often include peer coaching, life skills training, and individual, group, and family counseling. Outpatient levels of care include partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), sober living/halfway housing, and standard outpatient care.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

The goal of trauma therapy is to address the lingering mental, emotional, and physical lingering effects of a traumatic event. Your therapist helps you process this trauma and build resilience to face future challenges.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

If you use substances heavily, this can interfere with your body's ability to absorb and use nutrients. This results in malnutrition and other health problems. Nutrition therapy addresses these deficiencies to support healing and recovery.

My experience as a hospitalized patient in this place was terrible, waiting times are eternal, I felt that no one cared about me, nobody from the staff asked me if I felt good or not. I would not recommend anyone to come to this place.

Litter strewn through the parking lot, even broken glass. When reporting it, the employee said that they have already advised the appropriate people. We had spoken with Alyssa on the unit by phone about a tour of labor and delivery. Alyssa said "come over it is not busy on the weekends". We came and she was right but she had told the unit secretary to hand us an education pamphlet and explain that we have to take a $50 childbirth class to tour the unit. So she had us drive out, instead of just calling us.

As of right now, I am not happy with the care my mother is receiving at Baptist in Little Rock. The doctor insisted on giving her contrast dye, even after being told several times that she has severe reactions to the dye and has had those reactions at a Baptist Health facilities. Upon using the contrast dye, she stopped breathing and was rushed to the Critical Care Unit where they had to intubate her. The doctor never came and spoke with me and has yet to apologize for not listening when I explained to him several times about her reactions to the dye. We were then told she would stay intubated and under sedatives until the morning when she would have an MRI and they would remove the tube and wake her up about 8:00 am. Someone forgot to order the MRI so the tube was not removed and she was not woken up. Again in the afternoon when she was supposed to go for an MRI the nurse was not available and someone else was put in her place for an MRI. As of this evening she has still not been taken off the intubation and still not woken up. All of this is due to the initial doctor's arrogance in not listening to us and some incompetence along the way. What recourse do I have. Would you who work at Baptist allow this to go on with your mothers???

Came into the ER with a blood pressure of 179/149 and a pulse of 143. I was advised to go to the nearest ER by my doctor, and unfortunately this was the closest one. Sat in the ER for 6hrs with cardiac symptoms and the shakes before anyone saw me. They do not take emergencies seriously. Do not come here if you care about your health.

I just gave birth here on 11/18 and had an amazing experience!! All my labor and delivery nurses were amazing especially the one who was with me during delivery, Kayla! She was outstanding and the best thing through the entire progress! The epidural process was also a great experience and they talked me through it and did awesome!! Overall I am so blessed to have had this experience and hope it will be the same next time around
