This place is absolute garbage. I've been up here for nearly 3 hours and haven't even seen a nurse. Had X-rays taken nearly a hour and a half ago. When I asked an older nurse about getting some treatment and what was going on she got incredibly rude and nasty with me.Lack of compassion, skill and treatment is going to get someone killed at Baptist er in Malvern.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
12-step icon12-Step
12 step programs are designed to foster participants' recovery through spiritual development, promoting healing in mind, body, and spirit. Participants engage in 12 step meetings, which are free, anonymous, and accessible daily, including evening, night, and weekend group sessions. Participants also self-select a sponsor to support them throughout their recovery journey. Though rooted in spiritual principles, participants do not have to be religiously-affiliated. Specialized formats, including gender and age-specific ones, are available.

Treatments

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
seniors-program thumbnail image
Seniors Program
Nearly one million adults age 65 and older live with a substance use disorder. Treatment providers who specialize in senior care understand the social, psychological, and physical effects of aging and how they relate to recovery. They can help clients address particular challenges and risks they may face as they get older such as overdosing and medication interactions and dependencies.
hearing-impaired-program thumbnail image
Hearing Impaired Program
A sensory disability, such as hearing impairment, can compound the challenges of addiction recovery. Drug rehabs that are specially designed to accommodate the needs of persons with hearing impairments will include special accessibility features and accommodations to make treatment as comfortable and effective as possible. This may include access to American Sign Language interpreters.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
military-program thumbnail image
Military Program
Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) is a way of getting nicotine into the bloodstream without smoking. It uses products that supply low doses of nicotine to help people stop smoking. The goal of therapy is to cut down on cravings for nicotine and ease the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal.

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

I am sure they will hear from my attorney, they are not inclusive of the LGTB community. This hospital is trying to get more money from the taxes in our community but I'd much rather have my tax money go to the schools or military because this hospital needs to be closed! Al ... Read More

The only reason I am giving a 1 star is because of the nurse I had to deal with this morning, I understand You are older and it was the end of your shift, however My problems had just started, I was concerned with my Health or I wouldn't have came in (FOR YOUR HELP) I was completely Nice and sweet and You still acted HATEFUL and Rude and Just Plain NASTY. If you were the older nurse that worked the ER on December the 28th 2023 at 6:15 AM and left at 7 am SHAME ON YOU !!!!! RUDE AND NASTY IS NOT A POSITION A NURSE SHOULD HAVE If you are too old and cranky STAY AT HOME

The front desk receptionist for the ER was really impressive, she seems like a great team player. The nurse, hicks, not so much. They wrote put wrong numbers in my record and when I pointed it out, "it doesn't matter." Yeah, I think 6 inches of height and 60 lbs matters. We were there for four hours, I watched the doctor and nurse eat, dance, play, chit chat.....all while waiting to be treated. I heard all about the other patients, including ssn numbers called out loudly. I'm going to have to be near dead to go back.

The Malvern Baptist Health Medical Center just discharged and dumped my sick sister, that was their Patient, back off to her house without supervision or food. I live 3 states away and could not convince the nurse supervisor not to do this. They evidently used their company vehicle to drop her off at her home alone. I have asked to speak to her Doctor before he discharged her but hasn t responded at all.

I have been to several hospitals and I have to say all the doctors, nurses and staff were so knowledgeable and such a great bedside manner. I've never felt this much kindness from any other hospital. They took such wonderful care of me. They genuinely care about patients.

Worst experience ever. I went in because I suspected that I had the flu which I ended up having. I haven t been able to eat much in the last few days and I ve been drinking as much as I can but I don t feel like it s enough. The nurse wanted to give me a shot in my hip instead of giving me an IV with fluids and nausea meds and they could have given my pain medication through the IV also. This nurse had no intentions on helping me with anything other than my pain. They tested me for the flu but refused to send a prescription to the pharmacy because I left before she stuck a needle in my hip!! There was absolutely no reason why I shouldn t have gotten fluids. I m still dehydrated. Thanks Baptist health. I ll be telling everyone about my experience. They need to shut the hospital down because that s a very poor excuse for a Baptist hospital. Baptist health is one of the best hospitals in the state but not in Malvern. Fix it!
