About Villa of Hope

Villa of Hope provides substance abuse and mental health treatment for children, adolescents and adults in Rochester, New York. They offer outpatient treatment at this location but may refer you to another location if you need higher intensity care. The outpatient center is considered an extension of the comprehensive care offered by Villa of Hope.

Your recovery starts with an evaluation to determine your needs and the appropriate level of care. Their complete continuum of care model includes medication assisted treatment to help ease your withdrawal symptoms and reduce drug cravings. They use FDA approved medicines that also make you more comfortable during treatment.

Individual therapy sessions give you one on one time with a professional who is skilled in addiction care. You may work on developing healthy coping skills and recognizing substance use triggers. The therapist will also help you learn relapse prevention methods for the future.

Group therapy gives you time with others in recovery who understand your struggles and experiences with addiction. They may provide valuable feedback that relates to your sobriety journey. It also helps give you a supportive network.

The outpatient environment is perfect if you’d like to live at home and continue working or attending school while receiving treatment. It allows more flexibility than residential settings.

Relapse prevention is a crucial component of their program. It helps you remain vigilant and develop methods to avoid substance use after treatment.

Aftercare services are available once you complete treatment. These provide ongoing recovery support for long term success. They may include continued therapy or access to community resources.

Rachael pitnell and Joan Gordon have both broken consent forms, talked trash about me to my family when one was my NP the other my CM. Upon confronting then with the information I found out the CM Joan Gordon called the police on me and had them sent to my house. I showed them all the evidence and her lying and they suggested I call oasis and file a lawsuit for violation of HIPAA. They have also ruined my healthcare with my PCP by lying and telling them my psychotherapy notes which is in violation. I will not let this one slide. I was wondering for a year why my PCP all of a sudden were treating me a certain way it's because of these two. Ever since Kim Sadwick left the location 1099, jay st, the place went downhill really fast.

Accepted Insurance

Villa of Hope works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient rehabs offer an intermediate level of care for clients who do not require the kind of intensive supervision and support an inpatient program typically provides. Many clients transition into outpatient care immediately after exiting inpatient treatment. Others enter outpatient programs upon completing detox. Some facilities offer ambulatory medical detox for clients who do not require hospitalization. Most outpatient rehabs offer a combination of services, including addiction counseling, life skills training, and medication assisted treatment (MAT).
inpatient iconInpatient
Inpatient rehabs provide a space for clients to focus exclusively on their recovery while receiving intensive supervision and support. Inpatient treatment centers provide housing and food and most offer round-the-clock clinical care. Their primary treatment modalities typically consist of addiction counseling using various psychotherapeutic methods, including CBT, DBT, RBT, and motivational interviewing. Many rehabs also provide specialized services for clients with co-occurring addiction and mental illness. Recovery-focused life skills training and holistic therapies are other common services.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Clients in rehab aftercare programs receive a customized portfolio of services designed to promote their sustained sobriety. These clients have completed high-level treatment, are typically exiting detox and/or intensive inpatient care and are reintegrating into their home, workplace, and community. Rehab aftercare services address addiction disease as a chronic condition requiring continuing care. Clients typically work with case managers and recovery teams to access necessary resources, such as peer coaching and 12 step program induction support.
12-step icon12-Step
Participants in 12 step programs maintain access to community-based peer support, which is the programs' primary treatment modality. 12 step recovery combines personal growth with paper coaching. Participants regularly attend group meetings, which are free, anonymous, open to the public, and available multiple times per day in most communities. They are also mentored by self-selected sponsors who guide them through the steps of recovery. Age and gender specific and other specialized formats are common.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Medical detox involves weaning your body off of addictive substances in a medically supervised environment. If you've become dependent on alcohol and/or drugs, quitting on your own can be uncomfortable and even dangerous. In medically assisted detox, a team of licensed medical professionals will help manage potential withdrawal symptoms, ensuring that you're as safe and comfortable as possible. This process typically takes about 5-7 days, although the length will depend on your individual needs.

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

teen-program thumbnail image
Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
child-program thumbnail image
Child Program
The providers who specialize in the children's rehab space understand the specialized needs that this population faces. School-based and social services such as tutoring and family counseling are often central to treatment. Child programs may also address the needs of youth experiencing substance abuse in the home, including a parent's or sibling's addiction.
hearing-impaired-program thumbnail image
Hearing Impaired Program
A sensory disability, such as hearing impairment, can compound the challenges of addiction recovery. Drug rehabs that are specially designed to accommodate the needs of persons with hearing impairments will include special accessibility features and accommodations to make treatment as comfortable and effective as possible. This may include access to American Sign Language interpreters.
hiv-aids-program thumbnail image
HIV/AIDS Program
HIV/AIDS programs support disease prevention and management in high-risk individuals in recovery. Individuals who engage in intravenous drug use and other addictive behaviors are at a higher risk of becoming infected with HIV. Rehab centers that specialize in treating this population typically have a high number of nurses, physicians, and psychiatrists on staff who can make sure both their medical and mental health needs are met.
military-program thumbnail image
Military Program
Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

During dialectical behavior therapy in New York, you and your therapist will look for triggers and patterns that are guiding your emotions. This involves keeping a diary of your emotions and situations and sharing this each week with the therapist. This information will determine what you work on in each session.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Introduced in 1983, motivational interviewing is a method to help clients commit to change. It's based on the philosophy that change is hard, and clients must explore their own options and come to their own conclusions rather than receive warnings or advice from the therapist.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

I've never encountered such a useless, pretend organization. Similar to a bunch of coworkers walking around occasionally touching things when someone is looking and pretending they're working. I went through 3 case workers that acted like I asked the world of them to assist me with finding resources and help my kids out of a bad situation and they literally did not a single thing but say "that must be hard" while they sat by with evidence that my kids were in danger. Biggest, worthless use of 8 months of a bad part of me and my kids life and they were supposed to help and did not a single bit, with over 30 asks for help. Did not help any single one of those times with things we needed. What DOES this place actually do? 2 stars instead of 1 only because the one worker was sweet. Very young and not knowledgeable enough to have kids depending on her though.

If it weren t for the Lifehouse who knows how my life would have ended up. I m 25 years old now and went in when I was 18, my life got drastically better after learning coping mechanisms. The counselors there at the time were amazing as well. Left a life long impression

I placed my application for rental assistance back in October of this year. I was in contact with the head of that department, Mr Levar Sanders. Once my application was submitted, I was no longer able to make contact. I reached out via email as well as phone, yet recieved no response. It has been 2 months and still no response. I left direct voicemails and messages with other staff, yet I still haven't recieved a response. I reached out to another agency for rental assistance and they said they would reach out to Levar Sanders concerning my application seeing how they had a Zoom meeting scheduled with him 5 minutes later. It's been over a week and STILL no response.I noticed that the Villa of Hope was only ranked 2.7 out of 5 on Google. With the experience I had with your company, I am not surprised of such a poor rating. I came with an urgent need and made immediate contact, only to be blatantly ignored soon as my application was submitted. I would rather had been denied than to be openly ignored while constantly reaching out for help. There is NO hope in this "Villa". I have nothing but an ill experience to share about this company. Yes, I am very upset. My family was in desperate need when I reached out. Yet we were ignored like junk mail. My problem has not been resolved and is worse now. Thank you for your false hope!
