About VICTA

The VICTA addiction treatment center is located in Providence, Rhode Island. This private drug rehab center specializes in treating drug and alcohol abuse in an outpatient setting with various services. These services are offered in a comprehensive therapeutic environment and are designed to support the substance abuse recovery of patients.

Through the services offered in its MAT and IOP, VICTA enhances the lives of those affected by addiction by restoring and improving life functioning and reintegration into a community. Read below to learn more about what these drug and alcohol addiction treatment programs offer patients:

The medication assisted treatment (MAT) program at this addiction treatment center offers clients medication management and assisted treatment through prescribing methadone, Vivitrol, and buprenorphine. The type of medication an individual receives is dependent on their recovery needs.

In addition, while receiving medication assistance, individuals will engage in counseling to help manage withdrawal and cravings. Moreover, qualified professionals provide all medication assistance in a highly structured environment.

The intensive outpatient program (IOP) at this rehab center provides therapy sessions to those seeking recovery and a clear path to sobriety. This IOP provides person centered treatment programs and group sessions during the evenings and on weekends.

Additionally, in many instances, this program can function as a step down program for those who have completed an inpatient or partial hospitalization (PHP) program. The IOP requires individuals to attend group therapy sessions nine hours weekly and individual counseling once a week. Usually, clients are enrolled in this program for a few weeks.

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

inpatient iconInpatient Rehab

Clients in inpatient rehab benefit from a highly structured and supportive environment away from the stressors that can trigger or exacerbate addiction. Inpatient treatment is designed primarily for clients in early recovery or at an increased risk of relapse. They provide intensive clinical supervision and addiction counseling, which may include group and family therapy. Clients may also engage in extensive addiction education to support long-term sobriety. Many programs offer complementary therapies, including art and animal therapy.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient programs are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs. The Intensive Outpatient Program gives patients the chance to participate in a structured treatment plan part-time while they transition back to home and work or other responsibilities. This program provides half-day treatment (Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9:15 am to 12:30 pm).

partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program

A partial hospitalization program (PHP) offers intensive rehab without the need for 24-hour care. Whether it's an alternative to inpatient hospitalization or a step-down option post-hospital or residential care, PHP treatment often includes relapse prevention strategies, medication management, and other behavioral therapy interventions. PHP treatment typically requires daily sessions for 4-8 hours, 5 days a week. Depending on your progress, the length of PHP treatment can vary, averaging 90 days. The cost of PHP treatment varies but is often fully or partially covered by providers.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

In medically assisted detox, a team of medical professionals will be on hand 24/7 as your body is detoxing from addictive substances. As a result, you may experience physical and psychological side effects, such as mood swings, anxiety, nausea, or flu-like symptoms to help alleviate potential withdrawal symptoms, and keep you as safe and comfortable throughout this process.

The most unprofessional recovery addiction place I have ever been too. Been clean for eight years missed an appt due to a death in the family and they refused to help me told me I couldn t get meds. They then made me go to hotline and set me an appt for what they swore up and down seven times from their clinical director it would be a phone meeting. Thursday came he never wrote it as a phone appt and I went into withdrawals for the second week. That s when I withdrew from the program. Go to lifespan recovery center. They will test you like a human being. I hope the clinical director reads this I even left him a call message asking to call back since he made the mistake. He didn t even have the professionalism to return my call . Absolutely garbage and horrible bedside manner . They only care about your health insurance paying them .

Since becoming a client at VICTA I'm so grateful for the caring n nurturing staff. They Get It! They're not about just dose n go. Tho you can get that too if that's how you like to roll. I guess what I'm trying to say is that no matter where you're at in your recovery they're there to provide whatever level of care you need. Or they'll refer you to whatever agency is able to provide you with what's necessary if you need inpatient care. I just really like the way they run there establishment

Horrible. They will mix up your court ordered urine screen with someone else's and take no blame. They used to not label the cups til I complained to supervisor. Said I had dirty urine when in fact I been clean. Test was tampered with.

I've had a few instances there I could've deducted stars for but there's also instances I've had that they've helped tremendously. Recovery is what you make it, if you want it bad enough you'll realize Victa is there help. What a lot of people don't like, in my opinion, is they hold you accountable for actions. But all in all, I def would recommend anyone that is or knows someone, that's struggling with addiction to give them a call... It could change ur life!
