I was placed here from 2015-2017. Please do not send your children here! Staff get physical and hit patients (who are literal children!!). I was one who was abused. Staff literally bully patients, and make their mental health so much worse. This is literally the worst behavioral health center I've ever been too. I still have trauma from this center.

I went here back in 2020 as a teen and they beat me they broke my arms and then also put me on heavy pills so I would sleep they kept us locked in there they beat the other kids for no reason my roommate or cell mate cause we were not allowed out got swung into the brick wall head first by a staff for coming out. We were not allowed any TV time and we were not allowed to make paper airplanes either as that was one thing we found fun but once they saw we were having fun they took all the paper away one time I had to use the bathroom while we were outside and they laughed at me and told me to go on myself so I did then they laughed again. Also one time we were locked in the living room cause a young lady got mad when we came out there was a blood trail on the floor. Happy I got the lucky end with just beatings and broken arms I could have ended up like that girl where nothing was left of her but a simple blood trail on the floor only to be washed away by a mop.

The only reason I 'm giving two stars is because of some of the staff seem to genuinely care. Thanks for the help and encouragement. As for those that seem to not give a rat's a** why do you come to work? As I read the past reviews nothing seems to have changed! Where do I start? It's sickening to rehash this. Disrespect from a charge nurse from the get go. Not actually speaking with my social worker for 7 days and then it was to give me an exit survey. Really?! Three days before discharge I'm asked to sign my treatment plan by another social worker filling in. I get that too. But I requested to see my SW several times. Once thru my doctor. Another a MHT.And another thru the patient advocate. These request were made over a period of about 4 days. Something that should have been done within the first few days. Something I heard quite often was that the ratio of staff, whether it's doctors, nurses, social workers, mht or whoever, to patients was inadequate. That's not a patient problem that's a staffing problem. I understand being patient but don't try to piss on my foot and convince me it's raining. No I would not recommend this place for treatment. I'm supposed to start IOP next week but my biggest concern is will that program be just like the one I just left? I must say that Dr B. and his assistant were very good. They actually sit down and ask questions and listen to my concerns. Thanks Dr B. and Sarah.

Accepted Insurance

Three Rivers Residential treatment Services works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Levels of Care

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

teen-program thumbnail image
Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
child-program thumbnail image
Child Program
The providers who specialize in the children's rehab space understand the specialized needs that this population faces. School-based and social services such as tutoring and family counseling are often central to treatment. Child programs may also address the needs of youth experiencing substance abuse in the home, including a parent's or sibling's addiction.
hearing-impaired-program thumbnail image
Hearing Impaired Program
A sensory disability, such as hearing impairment, can compound the challenges of addiction recovery. Drug rehabs that are specially designed to accommodate the needs of persons with hearing impairments will include special accessibility features and accommodations to make treatment as comfortable and effective as possible. This may include access to American Sign Language interpreters.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Eating disorders include anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, and dysfunctional eating patterns. Many psychologists and other mental health professionals consider eating disorders to be food addictions, meaning food is being used in an addictive way (similar to drug or alcohol addiction). Certain substance abuse treatment programs will have treatment for eating disorders as one of the services offered. An eating disorder may also present as a co-occuring disorder or dual diagnosis alongside drug and alcohol addiction.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

My therapist always looked like he just wanted to hurry up and go to lunch, he was not really interested in listening to my issues. I felt it was a waste of money and time, I did not progress at all.

If their priority were honestly patients, things would be so different. Staff loved to eat fast food and talked about inappropriate things in front of the residents (no confidentiality). No one bothers to help you, you are only punished for your addictions

This place is terrible, I was in the adolescent unit. I really hope this place shuts down. They caused atleast 5 of my panic attacks especially the lady with the curly brown hair. She was by herself with me and kept screaming at me while I was having a panic attack. They hold kids down and inject needles into them and yell a lot. I beg you please don t send your loved ones here. And on top of that I was in a room with a ton of broken glass. I came there because of suicide. Really people? Come on now. They are all about money and there is roaches and mold everywhere. The food has hair in it. Back onto the curly haired lady she yelled and my friend because we was joking about something I can t remember, but she said what if I made jokes about your cutting. And she started balling her eyes out. We was talking about something we both was relating to.

They will lie on paperwork ! Do not send any of your love ones at this location. This place will give your love ones medication they don't need and also against their will. I repeat this place needs to be shut down immediately! If your love ones needs help this is not the place!!!!!!!!! My daughter left there with a sprained hip because they were holding her down giving her needles against her will among other horrific that I rather not disclose because it was that heart breaking!
