This place is insane!! My husband and I have been calling for a year now trying to reach this administrator. They lie and say that the consultation is free and then charge your insurance anyways. The best part is the billing department is in florida and they never call you back either so there s no way to even pay these people. Please save yourself the headache. They do not answer the phone when it comes to scheduling appointments.
Response from the owner5 months ago
Hi Stephanie, I believe there was some miscommunication here. We don't and have never offered a free consultation. Getting information over the phone with one of our representatives prior to scheduling a consultation is certainly free, but not the actual service. We hope this helps clear things up; if not, feel free to give us a call.

DO NOT COME HERE FOR SPRAVATO TREATMENT! You cannot bring a loved one in with you because the room has 6 other patients in it, separated by a cloth barrier. The chairs are outdoor camping chairs that recline, not very comfortable. I was nervous to take a higher dose for the first time, and the nurse pretty much was like "oh well, sorry" and said that I had to because "it's the treatment plan." which is not super anxiety quelling. I very well could have stayed at the lower dose.During my treatment, the nurses are in another room with no way to call them if needed. As I was coming down, I took my headphones out for a second and the nurse was telling a patient that they couldn't give them the spravato because their BP was too high and they would "have a stroke." Again, not cool. On ketamine, you are in a highly sensitive state and if I had heard that peak-trip, I would have freaked out. I had a feeling that the nurses there don't really understand what ketamine is like. The people there were overall nice, but quite frankly, a set up like this is not it for such a potent and sensitive experience like Ketamine. It's INCREDIBLY important that you see a provider that built their center from the ground up as a ketamine therapy center. Not one that tacked Spravato on as a last minute cash grab, like they clearly did at The Councelling Center. You owe it to yourself.EDIT: Ok so you either 1. don't know what you're talking about, or 2. you're gaslighting me, or 3. you're heavily misinformed on esketamine. All 3 are bad. When I take spravato, I am tripping. I know it gets less intense over time, but it is a psychedelic. Again, DO NOT GO HERE.

Hello, We thank you for your feedback but would like to take the opportunity to clear up some of the information in your review. While Spravato (a derivative of ketamine, not ketamine itself) treatment is more intense than taking a pill from a nurse at a window, it is not meant to be a potent, psychedelic experience. If that is what was expected, it's clear why you felt disappointed. Spravato is a nasal spray that may be a great option for individuals who haven't had success in other attempts to treat their depression. We do have the room set up with partitions to allow clients to relax in privacy while our medical staff perform their routine checks on those receiving the treatment. Please feel free to follow this link for more information on what Spravato treatment truly is and how the treatment rooms are set up. https://www.thecounselingcenter.com/spravato-treatment Thank you again for your feedback, and we wish you the best.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
The Counseling Center at Clark offers a qualified treatment for substance abuse disorders (including drugs, alcohol, and other addictive substances) with a primary Outpatient Treatment (OP) program. Outpatient programs are part-time. Clients come to the center for regularly scheduled individual and group sessions, according to a treatment plan. Group sessions are small, and led by licensed and qualified Addiction Counselors, psychologists, and other professional treatment providers.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Treatment (also known as IOP for "Intensive Outpatient Program") is a primary treatment program recommended in some circumstances by a clinical and medical assessment. IOP may be recommended for those who do not need medically-supervised detox. IOP can also enable people in recovery to continue their recovery therapies following successful detox, on a part-time yet intensive schedule, designed to accommodate work and family life.
12-step icon12-Step
12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). The 12 Step approach to counseling is very effective, and forms the basis of peer support that has proven to be essential for successful recovery in many cases. Most of their individualized client treatment plans include participation in 12-step meetings.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in New Jersey is the process of addressing the complex issues involved with addiction. Challenges are identified and addressed through individual and group counseling. Participants learn how to manage these issues without the use of substances.

The counselors and staff at The Counseling Center at Clark, NJ are all well trained in recognizing and dealing with clients suffering from substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. All outpatient treatment is assigned after an initial Clinical Assessment, which is an essential tool for understanding current status, including the need to recognize and treat a dual diagnosis.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Research has shown the individuals whose families are involved in treatment have a much better prognosis and a higher success rate. The Counseling Center at Fair Lawn will make a concerted effort to include family members in treatment whenever possible. The goal of the family education program is to provide family members with information and support that will assist clients in their recovery. A family education group will be held every week (typically Wednesday from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm, but please check the schedule).

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). At The Counseling Center, they seek to always run small group meetings of 10 people or less. They find that smaller groups are more comfortable for those participating and sharing, and allow for more careful review of important topics under discussion.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

I would never come to this place. They charge my insurance over $2,000 to sit and listen to other people talk about there problems for one 3 hour class. There is no interest in some one s recovery and whether or not I stay sober. They just need you to keep coming so they get there insurance checks
