About Symetria — Joliet Outpatient Rehab & Suboxone Clinic

The medication-assisted treatment program combines FDA-approved medications with mental health counseling. This program also provides monthly Vivitrol injections. The medications are designed to help a person withdraw from addictive substances with less cravings or negative side effects. The mental health component of this program allows individuals to work through the underlying issues that have perpetuated their addictive tendencies.

The intensive outpatient program generally meets three times per week for several hours at a time. Individual counseling, group counseling, family counseling, and trauma support services can be provided. Once a person has progressed through the intensive outpatient program and no longer needs to spend nine or more hours in support services each week, they may step down to an aftercare phase of treatment.

Symetria Recovery – Joliet accepts most insurance plans, including Multiplan, Amerigroup, Magellan, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Brightstar Health, Aetna, and ComPsych. Out of network benefits may vary, so it is important to verify coverage with your insurance provider prior to starting treatment.

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

inpatient iconInpatient Rehab

When participating in an inpatient rehab program, you'll reside at the treatment center for the duration of the program. Your housing and meals are provided, allowing you to focus on your recovery without outside triggers, stressors, and other distractions. You'll receive daily addiction counseling, drawing on various psychotherapeutic approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing. Many inpatient drug rehabs also offer complementary holistic therapies, such as yoga, meditation, or animal therapy, and creative arts therapy.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

aftercare iconAftercare

Rehab aftercare programs provide a full continuum of care for clients who are exiting inpatient treatment. Though outpatient care is often considered an element of drug rehab aftercare, services typically continue for the remainder of the clients' life and long after formal treatment is completed. Clients work with their case managers and care team to formulate a customized portfolio of medical, mental health, and social service resources designed to evolve as the client's needs change.

12-step icon12-Step

Participants in 12 step programs focus on emotional, psychological, and spiritual growth as the foundation for long-term sobriety. They engage in regular 12 step meetings, which are anonymous, free, and accessible day and night, year-round, in most communities. Participants also receive one-on-one mentoring from a self-selected sponsor. Though the 12 steps of recovery are based on spiritual principles, religious affiliation isn't required. Specialized formats are available, including programs for seniors, teens, and families.

heart-hands iconIntervention Services

Loved ones can utilize a drug intervention in Illinois to help with addressing a family member's problematic substance use. The goal of the intervention is to educate the individual about the negative effects of their substance use and encourage them to accept professional treatment. Intervention services can help families initiate this conversation and plan appropriate follow-up care, such as inpatient or outpatient rehab.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal. The length of stay at the detoxification program is determined according to the specific needs of the patient.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

substance-abuse iconSubstance Abuse

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

inpatient-file iconCognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

dialectical iconDialectical Behavior Therapy

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

intervention iconGroup Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

mental-health iconIndividual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

desert iconMotivational Interviewing

Motivational interviewing in Illinois is person centered and collaborative. This method allows the therapist to come alongside the client to address the issue of ambivalence toward change. By listening and reflecting, the therapist helps the client see the need for change and commit to making changes.

house-medical iconTrauma Therapy

Trauma therapy provides you with a safe and supportive environment so you can address a traumatic experience. Your therapist helps guide you to understand your emotional, mental, and physical responses while developing healthier coping skills. During couples therapy in Illinois, you may work on a variety of relationship challenges. Couples therapy can address topics such as finances, children, health, addiction, intimacy, external stressors, and family relationships. family iconFamily Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

life-skills iconLife Skills

Third edit: now they say no self pay and after 4 years they wouldn't even give me a list of insurance companies they accept so I can get a different insurance to stay with them? Rudalfo is a very mean gentleman that seems to have a personal vendetta against me even though I only met/talked to him 3 times in the whole time he has been at this location. Very unprofessional and rude. I asked for insurance providers and he sends me a list of different methadone clinics instead, so sad he rather make a individual suffer then actually try to help them and they now found a way to make me leave their treatment program when I have been a perfect patient the whole time never dropping dirty or causing a scene. Why? What did I do?Edit: after talking to a wonderful young lady Liz and for the first time the medical director for joliet/Naperville Pamela who is also wonderful and understanding to talk too everything has been resolved and starting over, it seems like some things had gotten lost, mixed up and a miss communication and was not correctly documented in my chart. I'm all about second chances so I think everything will be alright but still always keep your paperwork and document everything on your own because no one will fight harder for yourself then yourself.:just know this place will expect you to suffer if you need a major surgical procedure done, they will say they don't dose for pain when you inform them before the procedure and after they call you to notify you're not allowed to take medications prescribed by your surgeon or they will punish you......After 3 years of hard work and dedication with a team that was extremely helpful and great especially dr. Basma this location got switched up in the 4th year with a new medical staff and the physicians that has made this location less then desirable and endangering many patients path to a full recovery. Like I said after 4 years of doing everything that all of my dr.'s Ask of me on my journey of rebuilding my damaged body the physician at this location is the only one now taking away from my quality of life and recovery from what seems to be a Personal vendetta which is weird since I'm a kind respectable licensed medical hippie and only used to go in every 2 weeks and barley saw them before they busted me down for following my surgical Dr. Order's since they dont treat for pain, my guess they are trying to make me relapse or leave their treatment program and find a new but hopefully it's all just a miss communication and can be resolved. Otherwise this place is great and the nurses counselors and receptionist are the true heroes that help and have to deal with the nitty-gritty. Just keep all your ducks in a row and keep proof to back you up with the new physician assist. Bring back Basma or other kind hearted willing to help understanding individuals, these are the people that we need to help us. We are regular people with job's families and feelings just like everyone else. We shouldn't be treated any different in a surgical situation or any situation for that matter

All of the staff has been very patient and understanding with my son. It took me over a year trying find a place that fit my son s needs and personality. He has difficulties trusting and opening up to people about his life and addiction. The receptionist Debra Green always greets us like family. Debra answers any of my questions that she is able to answer; if not will direct to the right person for an answer. I highly recommend their services to anyone looking for professionals who understand and won t judge you even on your darkest days.

I decided to come to Symetria to get myself a little help in my life. The first day I came here everyone made me feel welcome and excited for treatment. Yes I said excited . Debra at the front desk seems more like a friend than a staff member in this journey. When I call she answers the phone and I immediately smile. She knows who I amright away. The entire staff is here for you. You never have to feel like your bothering them with questions or concerns. I am so thankful for Sarita my counselor. The nurses laugh with me and I know would cry with me too they are
