About Stepworks of Elizabethtown Woodland Drive Facility

Stepworks of Elizabethtown on Woodland Drive is one of two facilities that Stepworks currently operates in Elizabethtown, KY. Our Woodland Drive location is the first addiction treatment center in the state of Kentucky to offer treatment to medically fragile, PICC line clients.

Detox and Residential Program
Depending on your needs, you’ll start with a short period of medical detox before transitioning into our residential program. In our residential program, you’ll experience a structured program of recovery from a compassionate team of providers. You’ll learn how to re-orient your relationship to using addictive substances and plan for a healthy transition into recovery.

Short-Stay Detox/Withdrawal Management
Some clients complete shorter stays of medical detox and professional withdrawal management. Usually clients who complete short-stay detox only have less severe addictions and can continue working on recovery independently after they are safely out of withdrawal.

PICC Line Program
Our Woodland Drive facility hosts our PICC Line Program, where medically fragile patients who require PICC Line assistance can complete our residential program while receiving antibiotic treatment for drug-related infections.

by far the best place i could ve gone to to start my journey in recovery! the administrator Kassi is great, genuinely cares & it shows! also 5* rating to majority of the staff; Jen, Andy, Derek, Jessica, Darian, Mckayla , Nikita, Katie, Ashley, even Damian I'm grateful to have had gotten assigned to the therapist i was, Amy! she is so sweet, caring, patient, selfless, just genuinely cares to see her patients (even ones who are not her patient!) heal & thrive! both Amy & Robin are both very knowledgeable, while Robin can be a tad bit more difficult/ not as easy-going in comparison to Amy.. to best describe, would be to say she, (Robin), can be very easily nerve-wracking! if you re even a minute late for group, she wont open that door w.o an excused absence from the staff or a nurse. in all honestly though, she means well, has a big heart, just as big a voice/ personality; which some may take wrong and/or offensive/ personal . there is always a right and wrong way to handle any issue; i personally witnessed more than on one occasion in the 30days i was here she handled a situation( s) wrong . must have more patience w this particular therapist. if you do get assigned to Robin, my best advice: be respectful, abide by the rules, & if situation ever does happen to arise regardless if its between you & a staff member, nurse , therapist, or even just another patient, its very important to remind yourself - you re there for nobody but YOU!anyways , 10/ 10 recommended!!!

Accepted Insurance

Stepworks of Elizabethtown Woodland Drive Facility works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal. The length of stay at the detoxification program is determined according to the specific needs of the patient.
24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care
Intensive levels of rehab involve 24-hour clinical care in Kentucky. This level of care is for those who have severe substance use disorders and need medical stabilization. Drug dependency can cause extreme withdrawal symptoms when the drug use stops, so this supervised care is necessary to treat those symptoms. Treatment involves 24-hour medical care, counseling, and medications.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Kentucky often starts with detox, then includes inpatient or outpatient treatment, and continues with aftercare support. Specific methods used during each of these phases varies, but often include individual and group counseling, medication, and recreational therapies.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

teen-program thumbnail image
Teen Program
Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.
adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.

Clinical Services

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

I received treatment at the Woodlawn location. The director Kassi was amazing! She truly cares about you and is so dedicated to her job. The staff were so relatable and always available no matter what I needed. Couldn't ask for a more supportive, comfortable and educational experience. The nurses and therapist helped save my life. I highly recommend if you or anyone you know struggles with addiction do yourself a favor and give them a call. You won't regret it;

Workers and patients are all sleeping together and not using tools of recovery. If you want to use again and not take recovery seriously this is your place.

I love Stepworks on woodland drive because they helped me reclaim my life. The staff truly cares and pushed me to do more for myself. They thought me that my past is not who I have to be. Coming up on a year sober, Stepworks staff on woodland drive was my starting point to loving myself and loving my recovery.
