About Solstice West RTC

Solstice West RTC is a residential treatment center for teenagers in Layton, Utah. They serve teens between the ages of 14 and 18 with drug and alcohol addiction as well as those with other behavioral health issues and trauma. It’s a place where they can break the destructive patterns in their lives and get started on a healthy new path.

Everyone’s treatment here is different based on what they need and what challenges they’re facing. For addiction treatment they use the SMART Recovery philosophy rather than 12 Step programs. Their focus is on helping your child understand why they are drawn to drugs and alcohol and resolving those underlying issues. The goal is to create new patterns and thought processes that help them construct a healthy and positive life that meets the needs they’ve been trying to meet with substances.

Throughout your child’s program here they’ll have direct addiction counseling as well as group therapy. They’ll spend a lot of time bonding with and supporting their peers. One of the especially cool things about this rehab is that they focus a lot on adventure therapy, too. Adventure therapy in the Wasatch Mountains and throughout the area gives them the confidence building and self growth experience of making great accomplishments while also letting them explore healthier paths to fulfillment and fun.
