I am both stubborn and resistant, which has proved to be a dangerous and difficult combination for my healing process. For me, I might have had a different experience than most as I was discharged early from residential. I had some of my best and worst days here all within my stay, yet I will never take back the fact that I went for treatment. It was life changing, and I wish I could express the change I understood, felt, and even showed. Deer Hollow will forever have a place in my heart, and I wouldn't take back my stay and treatment for anything in the world. I met one of the best therapists I have ever had here. And even though our journey was short, I hope that one day I will be able to show how much of an impact both he and Deer Hollow had on me. Some of my favorite memories are from here. I can not say enough good things about this place. Wasatch provides everything a person needs to change their life. Their property is amazing, their chef is incredible and makes the best food you will ever eat, their therapists are top notch, they have Todd Sylvester who is a life coach and motivational speaker, the owner is the best human you will ever meet, Tina teaches yoga and takes you on fun adventures, Decker and Christian do intakes and they are so full of love and just want to help everyone.Wasatch perfectly balances your treatment with work (therapy, one on one and group) connection (family night, family therapy), and play (yoga, softball, walleyball, gym, experientials)... they teach you how to love yourself and find joy in life again. Past client here, I spend almost two months at JMCR and during that time I was able to make so much progress to become the person I always wanted to be. JMCR allowed me to see my strengths and find love for myself, It taught me just how compassionate I really am and the impact that I have on others. Reggie and his team are experts in their field and work tirelessly (with love) to affect positive change in their clients. I remember on one occasion some of the staff were just reflecting on the emotional energy of time and tears started to well in their eyes. They told us how they just want the best for us and truly were expressing just how much they cared. Where other treatment programs might be punitive, JMCR takes a different approach to build you up with respect and compassion to help you find your strengths. It has been 2 years since my time at The Phoenix. I can honestly say they saved my life. I didn t know how they could possibly help me since I had already done some extreme treatments for my debilitating depression and SI. I started in residential and altogether spent about 5 months in their care. It took me working the steps and being accountable along with their care and I know I would not be here if it wasn t for the help I received from their awesome staff. I was a patient at recovery ways in 2018. I remember I felt heard and valued at recovery ways. Recovery Ways was my FOURTH attempt at inpatient treatment, and the only time sobriety has stuck. I have 6 years sober now.
