I am both stubborn and resistant, which has proved to be a dangerous and difficult combination for my healing process. For me, I might have had a different experience than most as I was discharged early from residential. I had some of my best and worst days here all within my stay, yet I will never take back the fact that I went for treatment. It was life changing, and I wish I could express the change I understood, felt, and even showed. Deer Hollow will forever have a place in my heart, and I wouldn't take back my stay and treatment for anything in the world. I met one of the best therapists I have ever had here. And even though our journey was short, I hope that one day I will be able to show how much of an impact both he and Deer Hollow had on me. Some of my favorite memories are from here. I didn t know how they could possibly help me since I had already done some extreme treatments for my debilitating depression and SI. I started in residential and altogether spent about 5 months in their care. My experience at Willow Tree was exceptional. From a clinical perspective, the program was outstanding, and the staff provided incredible care and support.
