A friend was severely dehydrated. They started a IV. It wasn't flowing. Ex-ray department came unplugged it. When returned from ex- ray patient asked to plug it back. Still it was not flowing. Staff requested a nurse to fix it. Then about less then Ten minutes a male staff came with discharge papers to sign. He took out the IV & the bag filled with fluids threw it in the trash. The point is this person has been vomiting couple days can't keep nothing down. They feel weak not feeling well. The staff worker looked annoyed took the IV rushed my friend out.Very unprofessional this is not how you treat a sick person. IV bags I know it's counted it costs money for the organization. I hope you can see this because my friend filed a complaint. Cameras don't lie. No compassion at all.

Terrible experience in the ED. Started with the rude registration lady with shoulder length hair and glasses. I came to the ED after being sent in by urgent care to be ruled out for a pulmonary embolism d/t shortness of breath, chest pain and other symptoms. Waited in the waiting room for over 20 minutes before getting an EKG. After waiting for over an hour I was brought back to a room to be seen by a provider I waited in the room (again) for over an hour and a half before ANY staff acknowledged my presence or even took the time to say someone will be with you shortly . The one and only medical personnel that I saw was the doctor when she finally had time to get to see me as I saw her busy going back and forth to rooms. Not to mention in triage a patient urinated on the floor through their wheelchair in the room and was made aware by a visitor that there was urine on the floor that he just stepped on it. He then threw a blue fitted sheet over it and called the next patient in for vitals while the sheet was still on the floor soaking up the urine when he should have cleaned it the right way before bringing a patient into the room. While I waited in the room to be seen or acknowledged by anyone I saw the staff get chili s delivered, Dunkin Donuts & Burger King. I understand everyone is entitled to a break but I watched these same people sit and not do anything besides going outside for smoke breaks and coming back inside spraying perfume making the patients in the hallway cough. Everyone sat at the desk on their phones, watching tik toks, eating, laughing and making jokes instead of comforting someone who was nervous of the unknown. I saw one ED tech running circles around these people she was a brunette couldn t tell you the name but she was working hard while everyone else was not. When you re sick this is the last thing you should be seeing. Do better St. Anne s.May I add the baby changing station in the bathroom at the waiting room area had marijuana all over it and urine on the toilet seat with toilet paper on the floor. Then when I got to my room there were old wrappers from what looked like the previous patients blood being drawn .. alcohol prep pad wrappers, tourniquet and trash on the floor. I thought about leaving several times. I stayed due to the amount of time I had already invested and worried that urgent care wanted me to take an ambulance there which is the main reason I stayed. Lesson learned to stick choose Southcoast Health. The only positive thing I have to say is Dr. Fox was amazing. She was the light at the end of the tunnel and provided the treatment that was needed.

Not my plan to have need for medical attention on Wednesday the 27th, appreciative of my local rescue and their choice to transport me to St Anne's. Friendly, clean and attentive. My situation was a bit advanced. To say I had labwork, ultrasounds, CT Scans doctors and nurses visiting in between to more lab work in less than 3 hrs, phenomenal. Listened to the patient while developing a great care plan. From the MD in the ER, and the MD who discussed the plan of care. Admitted to the 2nd floor, all caring staff. Woke up to another MD, with not too long a discussion with the cardiologist. Well glued team, so refreshing! Collaborative. Thank you for your genuinely fantastic care.

Accepted Insurance

Saint Annes Hospital – Behavioral Health works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) is a way of getting nicotine into the bloodstream without smoking. It uses products that supply low doses of nicotine to help people stop smoking. The goal of therapy is to cut down on cravings for nicotine and ease the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal.

The night staff was good, but they didn't listen to me when I told them where to place my IV, so I was pricked several times. Eventually, a male African American nurse came and was exceptionally helpful. I don't understand why the other workers tried to belittle him. Black people are highly intelligent but often underestimated, which is a disheartening stereotype. The next morning, the staff for X-rays, medical assistance, and ultrasounds were wonderful. However, the nurse and doctor I saw were not helpful or knowledgeable. They couldn't properly diagnose me, and the doctor kept saying he didn't know, ultimately referring me to an outside physician. I was also surprised that the hospital did not have an OB-GYN available. The only credit I give them is that they was helpful for pain managementOverall, it was a very negative experience. I was rushed to provide a urine sample that was not even used. To make matters worse, I found a needle on the floor next to my bed, which was concerning for my safety.

For the past 2 weeks I've been in extreme pain from a bulging disk in the back of my neck and the pain is killing me alive. I also have this pain irradiated to my right shoulder and a pinch nerve pain. I went to Saint Anne's Hospital and the ER knowing that I was injured left me by myself crying desperately for help. They ignored me for 8 hours and gave me 2 patches of lidocaine and Tylenol. I can't take any painkillers but I can take a muscle relaxer. I was there and they didn't even order an x-ray. Instead they discharged me crying for help. Yesterday I went there also for the same problem and I have pneumonia. Instead of admiting me, they did not listen to me begging for some kind of help. Then said that pain clinic is the way to go and discharged me in pain. The EMTs fell horrible for the hospital discharging me when my PCP had me going from the clinic to the hospital. The PCP didn't do anything. He said he was going to follow up while I was there. But they discharged me. I came home feeling abandoned by doctors and family and friends. I wanted to speak to a social worker but she wasn't there. I can't go back. I'm dying in pain right now and no hospitals to go.

I just came back from visiting a family member and I have never seen such a filthy bathroom. And I was told the bed linens hadn t been changed since they got there on Friday. Being someone who works in health care I find this unacceptable

Worst hospital in America. If you like waiting for any results definitely go here. Nothing but a bunch of lazy nurses. At least hire some hott nurses. To make the wait time better
