So my experience at roaring brook has been life changing. I have been to my fair share of treatment centers and this by far is the most caring genuine place there is. Every single staff member cares about each individual person. They give you chances and encouragement to change your life. They show up for YOU on a daily basis. Classes are four times a week for three hours but if you are struggling and need a safe space to just sit down and relax you can always go there. From the front desk to the owner they actually care. I have never been able to have 5 months of continuous sobriety but thanks to this place I have. They have given me my life back, my kids their dad back and they have helped me love myself again.

Accepted Insurance

Roaring Brook Recovery works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
Inpatient rehab is designed primarily for clients exiting detox, those in early recovery, and those in crisis situations that may increase their risk of relapse. Clients reside at the inpatient treatment center for the length of the program, which may range from two weeks to more than 18 months, depending on the program design. Inpatient treatment typically includes 24-hour clinical care and extensive addiction counseling and recovery education using CBT, DBT, RBT, motivational interviewing or other psychotherapeutic approaches.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) specialize in high-level care for clients requiring robust support. This includes those in early recovery, those in crisis, and those stepping down from inpatient care. Clients typically participate in a minimum of nine treatment hours per week, but many intensive outpatient rehabs offer up to 20 hours of service weekly. Their primary treatment modalities generally combine psychotherapy and recovery education. Medication assisted treatment (MAT) for alcohol and/or opioid recovery is widely available.
aftercare iconAftercare
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
A sober living home in Kentucky offers many benefits to those in recovery. These drug-free environments allow individuals to distance themselves from situations that would prompt triggers and lead to relapse. Men's and women's sober living also offers 12-step programs, counseling, job placement services, and long-term residence after treatment. During their stay, residents are required to abstain from alcohol and drug use, pay rent, and contribute to household responsibilities.
partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program
Often beneficial for individuals who don't require 24-hour supervision, a partial hospitalization program (PHP) can be an alternative to inpatient rehab or a transitional option. PHP treatment typically involves 6 to 8 hours of treatment per day, up to 5 days a week for an average of 90 days. PHP treatment often includes relapse prevention strategies, medication management, and other behavioral therapy interventions. While the cost of a partial hospitalization program can vary, it is often covered by insurance.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one’s body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive behavioral therapy in Kentucky involves learning to recognize unhealthy thinking patterns and developing problem solving skills to cope with life's challenges. It will help you have greater confidence in your abilities so you can change your patterns of behavior and break free from substance abuse.

Typically, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) in Kentucky involves four types of therapy sessions. You'll participate in a pre assessment, skills training in groups, individual therapy, and telephone crisis coaching. The goal is to improve your skills for coping with daily emotions and life challenges.

Men and women in Kentucky participating in group therapy learn to express their feelings and struggles with drug addiction in a non judgmental atmosphere. Your peers can offer you empathy and encouragement because they understand your journey to recovery. This fosters a sense of community and belonging that may extend far after group therapy sessions.

In individual therapy for drug and alcohol addiction, the therapist and patient work together to address the challenges and triggers that drive addictive behavior. This offers a customized approach to a healthier, substance free life.

Several techniques are key to motivational interviewing in Kentucky. Your therapist will use open ended questions, affirm your strengths, reflect your responses back to you, and summarize your responses. This allows you to identify any discrepancies in your current situation and your future goals, which can motivate you to make changes.

Trauma therapy provides you with a safe space to work through a trauma that you witnessed or experienced. Trauma informed therapy supports you to understand your emotional and physical responses and develop healthier coping mechanisms when exposed to triggers in the community. This improves your sense of self confidence and empowerment.

As you begin couples therapy in Kentucky, you'll outline the goals for therapy. Your therapist will then arrange to meet with you in weekly joint sessions and, in some cases, individual sessions. You'll receive homework assignments to practice each week between sessions that will help you reach your goals.

Family therapy provides families with a structured environment to address the complexities of addiction. You work with an experienced therapist to develop effective strategies for supporting your loved one's recovery while focusing on the well being of each member of the family unit.

Roaring brook has completely changed my life. I came into this program lost and with little hope. The small sliver that i had was from being welcomed with opened arms. All I wanted out of this program was to stay sober and be able to do my laundry. They blew my expectations out of the water and have given me a second chance at life. They have made my life one that I m excited to live. They instilled in me coping skills and the confidence that i will uphold using these tools once i graduate IOP. The compassion and genuine care they hold for their program participants is the reason why roaring brook will always be home for me. Imagine the best your life can be and then multiply it by 10 because thats what you get when you come into roaring brook with an open mind and willingness.

IF you are serious about a life change. IF you have stopped digging and reached bottom, please consider RB for help. The program is rigid but completely doable and supportive in your recovery journey. The staff is incredible, supportive and kind. They are here to help. I cannot thank the organization enough for giving me a foundation for change. My journey will continue even after I leave. Thank you all. (Carl & Matt)
