My name is Kevin. As a lifetime alcoholic, now in recovery, I am an alumni of Restore Detox Center. Over the last forty two years in my lifetime trying to arrest this disease, I have been to four detox/rehabilitation centers in the many attempted stints of sobriety along the way.Restore Detox Center does it right on all levels. It is more of a home than a detox center. It really is amazing. The home is impecably maintained and fully equipped with every necessity. The staff are more like family and genuinely concerned with your recovery and empathetic to each individuals need as they, too, are in recovery. The owner is in recovery and intimately involved on a daily basis. He lives his life on a daily basis, one day at a time. He may not be there physically each day, but definitely aware each day of the household and what is going on with each resident. The Resident Manager does an amazing job. She is always there and practices the "you have two ears and one mouth" approach to management and listens twice as much as she talks which makes for a smoothly run operation. Each team member there is in recovery and totally professional and empathetic The treatment program covers mind, body and spirit. They have a trainer come in four times a week, yoga instructor on Wednesday. They take in to consideration a healthy diet and the food is prepared with nutrition and health in mind and is fresh and delicious. Residents can order food or bring it in if they like but it was unneccessary and I am picky, The food was great. Most of all, a household approach to recovery along with a God of your understanding and the twelve steps, give the resident seeking recovery an excellent foundation to start. Accepted Insurance

Restore Detox Centers works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.
12-step icon12-Step
12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
Intervention services helps family or friends of addicts stage an intervention, which is a meeting in which loved ones share their concerns and attempt to get an addict into treatment. Professional intervention specialists can help loved ones organize, gather, and communicate with an addict. They can guide intervention participants in describing the damage the addict's behavior is causing and that outside help is necessary to address the addiction. The ideal outcome of an intervention is for the addict to go to rehab and get the help they need.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in California teaches participants constructive ways to stay clean and sober. Treatment revolves around helping individuals stop using the substance they are addicted to and learn healthy habits to avoid relapse.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
program-for-men thumbnail image
Program For Men
Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image
Program For Women
Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Animal therapy (aka pet therapy or animal-assisted therapy) can be very healing, as it allows patients to bond with animals, who give unconditional love. This is particularly useful for those who suffered trauma by the hands of people, who may be able to trust and form closer attachments to animals than humans at certain stages of rehabilitation.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Creativity is inherently healing, and can help those in recovery express thoughts or feelings they might not otherwise be able to. Creative arts therapy can include music, poetry/writing, painting, sculpting, dance, theater, sandplay, and more. Unlike traditional art, the final product matters far less than the experience of creation and expression itself.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Eating disorders include anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, and dysfunctional eating patterns. Many psychologists and other mental health professionals consider eating disorders to be food addictions, meaning food is being used in an addictive way (similar to drug or alcohol addiction). Certain substance abuse treatment programs will have treatment for eating disorders as one of the services offered. An eating disorder may also present as a co-occuring disorder or dual diagnosis alongside drug and alcohol addiction.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

EMDR is a therapeutic modality originally developed to help process trauma. In an EMDR session, a patient is prompted to undergo eye movements that mimic those of REM sleep. This is accomplished by watching a therapist's finger move back and forth across, or following a bar of light. The goal is repetitive sets of eye movements that help the brain reprocess memory, which can significantly reduce the intensity of remembered traumatic incidents. Associated memories can heal simultaneously, leaving patients significantly calmer, more stable, and more emotionally relaxed.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Restore is like no other rehabilitation center. Here, you can start a routine that you can continue when you get home. I personally work out every day in the garage gym. There's a great personal trainer, Ashley, that comes 4 times a week she knows her shit. Staff is awesome they are very knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. The food is also very good. Im very satisfied with the care i received here. I was able to continue the same routine at home when i left restore. Im very grateful to have found this place it totally changed my life. I've been back as an alumni to the house meeting lead by Steven, owner operator. He's the best. Overall, im very satisfied with the care i received here . I recommend Restore to everyone looking to get sober and stay sober.

Where do I even begin! Restore saved my daughter's life! What started out as a very traumatic and trying time turned into a beautiful life altering experience not only for her but our entire family. Restore is a FAMILY and embraces and welcomes not only the patient but the family as a whole. We were always welcome to visit and felt so comfortable there. Steven called us daily with updates and addressed any concerns or questions we had. I hadn't slept well for years due to worry about my daughter using and her whereabouts. Once she was at Restore I slept so peacefully. I attended meetings there with her and it honestly helped me understand addiction so much. It was therapy for me! It's such a comprehensive program there addressing addiction, mental and physical health. The staff is AMAZING to say the least! Almost every staff member is a recovering addict giving them insight, compassion and understanding they would otherwise not have. They can identify with the patient on the deepest level. My daughter made lifelong friends and still now remains in contact with them and sees them at meetings. Its such a special, warm and unique place built on a strong foundation of love. The home itself is just as beautiful as the people in it. If you or a loved one is considering rehab...... absolutely look no further...... Restore is the place that will forever change you and your family! I know we will go back there to visit just to feel the love and see the staff. Thank you a million times Restore!!!!!!!

Restore has helped me get my life back. If it had not been for James continuously communicating and checking up on me, I would not have survived. From the start, they responded right away and asked what I NEEDED from them. I was stressing out because I had my dog and had no one to watch her. Steven (owner) allowed me to bring her and made me feel welcome and safe. The staff in-house are amazing people. Charollette, Darla, Mae, and Justin are a considerable part of my care. I will forever be grateful to them. The fact is that Steven (owner) is in the program and visits the house 3x times a week and is involved with not only the clients but with family and loved ones, making sure that our loved ones are informed of how WE as clients are doing. I can say full-heartedly that this has become my second family. I will always be so thankful for getting back to me.

Please take a few moments to read this review...Restore is an incredible place to take the first step and many more...literally. After attending a facility nearly 20 years ago I had an idea what to expect, and yes, I was quite jaded. I didn't expect much except the effects of detoxing and talking about the 12 steps. However, the moment I stumbled through the door into Restore I was accepted with open arms. I thought for sure I was going to judge me. I thought for sure they would think "Here's a woman who has already been to rehab and here she sits drunk in this chair. She s a failure, her 17 years of sobriety is no more. However, that is SO FAR from the truth. The swing shift staff (Mae, Vicki, and Justin) were so understanding, caring, and thoughtful. The only person judging me, was me. They assured me I would be okay; they didn't make me feel badly about myself, more importantly they would not allow me to judge myself or be critical of myself, life happens and here I am making the first step. After Justin helped get a plane ticket booked for a family member, after Mae took my vitals and listened to my drunken nonsense, after Vicki saw that I was freezing, gave up her sweater for me (it is one of my favorites today)...she literally gave me the shirt off her back; I stumbled my way to my room; at that moment I knew I was going to be comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. The thoughtfulness, care, respect, I was shown, that I surely didn t deserve, didn t stop there.I knew once my "buzz" wore off I was going to suffer exponentially; the morning staff did everything they could to help me get and be comfortable with the miserable feeling I had. They checked on me often, asked if I needed anything, brought Gatorade, bubble water, ice. They made calls to the doc and pharmacy to make sure my medications were called in and/or ready for pickup. The staff makes sure the medications are administered timely, efficiently, and effectively. You may think they are just doing their job. To confirm yes, this is their job, but no, they are not asked or required to do more, however every person including the owner go so far beyond the expectation and requirements of their job description . It is obvious that every staff member truly cares about the recovery and wellbeing of every resident. Restore provided me a safe, quiet, clean environment to rest and recover and so much more. After the first couple of days, I made my way out of my room; it was for a group session that the Steven the owner led. (very unusual to have the owner lead a session, participate and even show up to the residence). Honestly, I wanted to go back to bed, however I wanted to hear what Steven was saying. He was completely relatable, he is a God fearing, man, father and husband who has stood in our shoes. It is clear he wants his prior lifestyle of addiction and relapse to be used as an opportunity for recovery for each person to break the chain from the bonds, destruction, carnage, of addiction. He is unapologetic for the situations that he put himself into, he wears it with a badge of honor because if one person can hear his story and has the courage, tenacity, and willingness to change; the hardship, pain, addiction didn't go down in vain. He talks about the steps, recovery, relapse and prevention, he keeps it simple, because it is simple if we want it. I know this sounds so clichďż˝, but it is so true, it works, if you work it and take one day at a time . The house is a safe place to be you and be surrounded by individuals who understand what you are going through.Truth is... Restore is second to none. I am honored and humbled that I had an opportunity to recover and restore at Restore. I was able to rest, recover, recognize, accept, learn, and forgive. There are no words to express my gratitude. Restore far superseded my expectations. The care, compassion, love, acceptance, and kindness I was shown from the moment I walked into the doors to the moment I left and beyond my experience has been nothing short of my perfection in an imperfect situation.

I will forever be grateful for the amazing Restore family and how they helped my family in one of the most difficult times in our life! The journey has begun and we can breathe easier knowing this place did all that we hoped for and more. The facility came highly recommended and I can see why. They treated my family as if we were their own and understood the delicate situation. The team truly believes and is invested in their effort. The care is authentic and comes from the heart. The atmosphere is very homely and is the best place to rest, recover, and grow. Every employee is there for the right reason and is invested in the long term journey. They each bring something great to the team and together are the full package! They have demonstrated the ability to take a broken and struggling person and mend them using understanding, compassion, and family values while teaching accountability and focus on the fundamentals of sobriety and long term support. A special thank you to Charolette and Steven for making it all possible and although I can t name everyone, a great big thanks to every one of the amazing team for being a positive influence and a constant reminder that AMAZING people are placed in our lives to change it!
