About Rancho Milagro Recovery – Drug & Alcohol Rehab & Detox Center

At Rancho Milagro Recovery, each patient is placed at the center of our care as we also offer support to loved ones who may be affected by addiction. In addition, Rancho Milagro also engages with referring professionals as well as help coordinate the after care for each client.

Residential treatment at Rancho Milagro Recovery may start with a drug or alcohol detox, supervised by licensed clinicians who provide medically assisted treatment and mental health support such as individual and group therapy. Additional holistic treatments, like equine therapy, yoga, mindfulness training, and hiking, are available on the facility’s 60-acre ranch. The center’s resident animals include horses, dogs, chickens, pigs, and an emu. Animal rescue is part of treatment and may include fostering a pet during treatment.

Partial hospitalization and outpatient care are less restrictive but still structured, with individual and group counseling, NA or AA meetings, cooking, exercise, and meditation training. Participants will also have access to resumé-building and career coaching classes and will begin aftercare planning.

Aftercare at Rancho Milagro is based on the 12-step program philosophy and includes group meetings, weekly checkups, and social activities like outings and bonfire nights.

Rancho Milagro Recovery is in a network with a number of major insurance carriers, like Cigna, Kaiser Permanente, Anthem, Aetna, Magellan Health, and others. Check with your provider to verify drug rehab and out-of-network benefits.

I recently went through residential treatment at Rancho Milagro and this place helped save my life!! I was treated excellent and the facility is awesome. The staff was very professional and they treated me with the utmost care. I would not have made the steps I have made in my recovery from addiction without the team at the ranch. It is my opinion that Rancho Milagro is the Malibu of Riverside County and I would refer any of my family or closest friends to them if they needed help with addiction in a safe and caring environment.

If you have found yourself at or considering Rancho Milagro to be part of your recovery story... You are in good hands. Trust. They taught me so much valuable information and gave me their (almost) unconditional support (we gotta be sober) and yet even when I fell short of that condition, they never judged or rejected me. They offered me a safe place to begin healing. They showed me a glimpse of what could be and how to get there. They offer this to you too and so much more. It may be hard at times. It is for me too. But stay strong and when you're not, lean on them!Life is SO much better sober and clean off junk.YES WE CAN!

Accepted Insurance

Rancho Milagro Recovery – Drug & Alcohol Rehab & Detox Center works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Clients receiving treatment at an outpatient rehab typically do not require hospitalization or intensive supervision and support. Outpatient addiction counseling and recovery education are often offered during the morning, evening, night, and weekend, allowing clients to tailor treatment to their own schedule. Partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs are the most time-intensive and are designed for clients who are at an increased relapse risk and/or who need more robust therapeutic support.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) support a client's sustained sobriety as they exit detox or step down from an inpatient program. IOPs are also designed for clients who are at an elevated risk of relapse. Intensive outpatient treatment typically requires clients to engage in a minimum of nine hours of therapy per week, but clients may receive up to 20 therapeutic hours weekly. IOP treatment modalities often combine psychotherapy, recovery-focused life skills training, and medication assisted treatment (MAT).
partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program
Commonly known as "day treatment," a partial hospitalization program (PHP) is an intensive form of outpatient treatment where clients meet during the day and return home in the evening. PHP treatment doesn't require 24-hour care and often serves as an alternative to inpatient hospitalization or a step-down after a residential program. With PHP treatment, you can receive daily support for 6 to 8 hours which includes evidence-based therapies and medication management. The cost of PHP treatment typically varies but averages 90 days.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal. The length of stay at the detoxification program is determined according to the specific needs of the patient.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in California teaches participants constructive ways to stay clean and sober. Treatment revolves around helping individuals stop using the substance they are addicted to and learn healthy habits to avoid relapse.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Animal therapy (aka pet therapy or animal-assisted therapy) can be very healing, as it allows patients to bond with animals, who give unconditional love. This is particularly useful for those who suffered trauma by the hands of people, who may be able to trust and form closer attachments to animals than humans at certain stages of rehabilitation.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Recreational therapy (aka therapeutic recreation) uses creative and fun activities to help with addiction recovery. Recreational therapists lead patients in entertaining and engaging activities like sports or games; art (drawing, painting, sculpture); drama, music, and dance; and/or community outings (field trips) to improve patients' physical, social, and emotional well-being.

Took my friend there for help with his issues. He came out renewed and better. Hopefully he is strong enough to stick to this new life. The staff were helpful and sincere which is rare for these centers.

This is an amazing facility with professional staff. Judee goes above and beyond for her clients. Staff is well trained, and are great in communicating the process while your loved one is there for treatment. Dealing with a family member that suffers from addiction is not easy. However, at Rancho Milagro rest assured that your loved one is well taken care of. I highly recommend this facility. Negative reviews normally come from disgruntled ex-clients. You will not regret placing your loved one at Rancho Milagro. Thank you for making my nephew's stay enjoyable, and for treating him with love, care, and respect when he needed it the most.
