For this reason, it is always best for a pregnant individual to be under the supervision of a doctor while tapering off of an opiate. Their medical staff is specially trained in drug rehab for pregnant women.

Pomarri Orem works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient programs are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. At Pomarris substance abuse Outpatient Treatment Center patients are surrounded and supported by those who are there to help. Each client will have a individualized treatment program that is set up to assist them to succeed not only in their treatment goals, but in their life outside of Pomarri.
inpatient iconInpatient
Addiction treatment at an inpatient rehab center is significantly more intensive than outpatient and community-based care. Clients remain at the facility for the duration of their program, though many centers offer supervised group excursions. Inpatient treatment typically consists of extensive psychotherapy, often including group and family counseling. Many programs also prioritize addiction education and recovery-focused life skills training. Holistic therapies, such as yoga, art therapy, EMDR, and meditation, are commonly available as well.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Pomarri ‘s Intensive Outpatient Drug Rehab program educates clients on maintaining long-term sobriety through a comprehensive learning process about the many facets of “coping skills.” Our drug and alcohol intensive outpatient program (IOP) program consists of educational and group therapy sessions weekly and individual counselling sessions.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Clients receiving services in a rehab aftercare program have generally been stable and sober for a period of weeks and months and no longer require high intensity treatment. Many have stepped down from inpatient rehab to outpatient treatment. Others have been discharged from formal treatment but need support in maintaining their sobriety. Clients typically work with their case manager and care team to develop a long-term care plan that aligns with their unique needs and goals.
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
Intervention services helps family or friends of addicts stage an intervention, which is a meeting in which loved ones share their concerns and attempt to get an addict into treatment. Professional intervention specialists can help loved ones organize, gather, and communicate with an addict. They can guide intervention participants in describing the damage the addict's behavior is causing and that outside help is necessary to address the addiction. The ideal outcome of an intervention is for the addict to go to rehab and get the help they need.
partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program
A partial hospitalization program (PHP) offers intensive treatment to those with moderate to severe addictions while allowing them to return home. It is often an alternative to inpatient hospitalization and a "step-down" option from residential programs. PHP treatment is tailored to your needs and lasts an average of 90 days. Weekly sessions are up to 8 hours for 5 days a week and can include relapse prevention, medication management, and behavioral therapy services. The cost of PHP treatment varies but is often fully or partially covered by providers.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one’s body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal. Based on extensive experience, as well as recent clinical studies, it has been found that a longer detoxification episode resulted in lower relapse rates. At Pomarri, their detoxification ranges from 8-12 weeks. They are committed to assisting each client find the reason and strength to CHANGE THEIR LIVES FOR GOOD.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

When you enter a drug rehab in Utah, the process usually involves four stages: treatment initiation, early abstinence, maintaining abstinence, and advanced recovery. Treatment methods can rely on medications, counseling, or both, in either an outpatient or inpatient setting.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
military-program thumbnail image
Military Program
Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a clinical approach to helping people with substance abuse issues and other conditions shift behavior in positive ways. It is more goal-oriented than traditional psychotherapy, as MI counselors directly attempt to get clients to consider making behavioral change (rather than wait for them to come to conclusions themselves). Its primary purpose is to resolve ambivalence and help clients become able to make healthy choices freely.

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

Active addiction can quickly lead to malnutrition. This makes recovery even harder because your body doesn't have the nutrients it needs to function. During nutrition therapy, you'll learn about the effects of substance use on the body, how food can help your mental health, and how to maintain a nutritious diet.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

When your body no longer gets nicotine from cigarettes, you will most likely experience withdrawal and craving symptoms. Nicotine replacement therapy is designed to ease these symptoms so you are more comfortable and less likely to relapse.

These people specialize in addiction treatment, If you are seeking treatment for depression, go somewhere else.I suffer from TRD and so far I haven't gotten any meaningful treatment here.My depression has been on a steep decline for the past few months and am now considering if my life is even worth it.My memory has gotten even worse and I've missed multiple appointments with them.(They did warn me of a $50 fee)I waited 3 months for Spravado, was told I would be notified when it arrived, I was not.I was really excited for the Spravado, and the possible use to treat my TRD, but I missed the appointment.I have concluded that their treatment was ineffective.First visitI told Dr King I take a small dose of kratom some mornings, Dr king comes to the conclusion "I am definitely addicted to Kratom"they drug test me every time, even though I had stated I am not there for addiction. It's a little bit insulting having to piss in a cup after stating multiple times you aren't there for addiction. And no I am definitely NOT addicted to Kratom thanks.I wouldn't even consider myself an addict in any regard.

Pomari has been in my life for the past two years. I was a client before and now I came back and graduated. They are the most caring and supportive facility I've been to. The staff actually care and ask u what they can do to help you when you are struggling. They go out of their way to show love and support. While I was gone after my relapse two years ago my wife got a call months later actually asking if I was on and alive. That meant alot to me and is what made me want to come back and finish their program. They take a different approach to recovery and instead of focusing on our past they push us to make our better future. Tara is amazing and loving. Tim is the best theripist and teacher I've encountered. Ceven is an awesome peer support that pushes u to be 1% better each day and shows u how to recognize it as a win. Serena is the wonderful receptionist and Shani and Jared are an awesome medical team. If you want help to truly change your life and learn how to fight back against your addiction I would recommend pomari to anyone.

Pomarri saved my life. I am a single mother on probation with a 1-way ticket to prison hanging in the balance & they took the time to figure out what i needed personally to get clean and stay that way. Now i am sober, attending treatment and raising my daughter. My PO couldnt be more pleased. Thank you to Tara and all the staff at Pomarri.Beth S.
